I think the only medical procedure that doctors are allowed to refuse here (the Netherlands) is euthanasia, but there have been discussions about that too.

I kind of understand that (refusing euthanasia).  I even kind of get not wanting to participate in abortions (after all, I myself even had to go to my boss and tell her that I could no longer escort girls to abortions as my mental health was suffering). But as a an earlier poster put it. Don't pick a field that places you in that path.

Abortion escorts were not that common to my knowledge, I was unlucky to get two in my time. After I spoke to my boss, I never got one again. Plenty of other people were ok with it.

I assume it would be made well known, which doctors and which hospitals are comfortable with euthanasia to people and their family when the situation of euthanasia arises. So i can imagine that a non supportive doctor would not often be asked?

I'm sure that JillyMuffin wouldn't leave home without Dumdick.   They probably will just edit him out so that he can't say he is being paid by TLC.   Of course, I bet he doesn't have a problem with his little Muffin getting some extra $$$ so that it can help pay his law school fees.

You know what is really odd to me about the Duggars... For all their early isolation and forced cohesiveness, they really do not present as a close family. Michelle might be interested in a "precious grand baby" for about 1 day or until the next + pee stick dries, but I just don't see those really strong bonds that exist in many families. It's like people are nothing but a number, and the shear number of people prevented any true, healthy bonds from forming between any of them.

Agree with many that a cold breakfast buffet would have been a disappointment! One of my favorite weddings was a Sunday morning ceremony, followed by a brunch reception. Mimosas and Bloody Marys, a bagel bar with lox, capers, and several types of cream cheese, and a ham carving station, among other delicious things. That, IMO, is a true "breakfast buffet."

I think a cold breakfast buffet wouldn't be bad if there were quality choices like muffins from a local bakery, oj in carafes, bagels, different cream cheeses and maybe the cereal. Cold waffles and boxed milk? I'd be at the Chick-fil-A with Benessa!

sad about the seemingly poor execution of the wedding breakfast ? sounds like Abbie had to compromise her love of breakfast with John's love of planes to host a cold wedding meal in a kitchen-less airplane hangar, meh.

Not at all surprised Josh was included, JD may have said that post-cheating scandal he didn't want to be like his brother for that, but in a laters CO s1 episode he also said Josh is his brother and he still loves and supports him as a brother (honestly IMO the correct answer) and in fundieland apparently that means forgiveness of all transgressions. And they were the closest as kids. oh well.

Random thoughts in no particular order:

I like Abbie's dress and I loved her hair (always love her pretty hair).   She looked happy and a happy bride is a beautiful bride, so far as I'm concerned.  JD looked happy too, and they seemed comfortable and sweet together.

If those are actually the bridemaid's dresses, they are very pretty.  I really like the soft peach in both the dresses and Abbie's flowers.  Fallish, but not aggressively so.

I'm glad to see that Jana was in the bridal party, but that she was the only Duggar.  Having her own friends and family make up her bridal party is perfectly appropriate; but it was kind of Abbie to include JD's favorite sister.  I hope (and expect) that they will continue to include her in their lives, even if they move away from Arkansas.

Josh in the bridal party -- bleegh.  But not surprising.  Christianity puts a premium on 'forgiveness,' and since Josh's wife and victims have forgiven him, JD may feel he 'has' to, as well, especially if he wants to continue to have a relationship with Anna and his nieces and nephews.  I think it's kind of significant that JD did not ask Josh to be best man, though.  Wasn't JD Josh's best man?  And they are the closest in age.

Reception food... is Pickles the most reliable narrator?  I'll be waiting to see the pictures.  Cereal and cold waffles and bacon doesn't sound too promising, I must admit.

I am more of a TLC couldn't, lens/ flare hold micheal in front of his head that much. I think had there of been no scandal he would have been best man.

Was Zach Bates in the bridal party? I bet like Josh in all post scandal weddings  and Carlin in joys they put him at the end of the party to easily crop him out. All competing channels and scandal ridden people, dump them on the end for easy pan away shots.

I watched a clip recently (I don’t keep up with the show very much) where Jinger missed her family so Jeremy had a bunch of them fly in. Jinger sobbed into Michelle’s arms and told her how much she missed and loved her! I actually was quite surprised because Michelle seems so off so often, and there does seem to be some awkwardness among family memebers

Other than that one incident, I totally agree with you. There are weird moments that are sort of stand off ish (again, I also watch the show sooo infrequently). There are many ways to express love and affection, but it seems more likely to me their beliefs and priorities have stifled healthy bonds (for example, prioritizing keeping Josh molestations secret rather than protecting their daughters/getting Josh genuine help. A more extreme example, but still).

I agree that including Josh in the wedding party was simply the easiest way to avoid family conflicts (no need for additional drama on your wedding day)*. Loling at the thought of Josh putting on his sunglasses, as if we would not recognize him like that on camera.

It would also be very telling if Derick was asked(?) not to attend the wedding. How would that work? Would the producers of CO let him know they would prefer him not to be there? That must have made for some awkward conversation in the Dillard home. I'm also surprised because Jill seems to be so clingy and she would not be able to show everybody that Derick is #besthubbyever. And no dipping and kissing in the aisle! I admit I used to feel a bit lonely whenever going to an event only couples attended and I was the only one showing up without my partner. But, you know, you just grow up and stop thinking about silly stuff like that. Jill has not yet reached that maturity, I suspect.

*Not likely we will ever find out the real reason, though. Just my idle speculation.

Maybe he is boycotting because TLC is there and he and Jill will not be paid?

If this is the case (not likely I know) but it is interesting if he tried to demand Jill not go and failed or he did not impose his will and let her chose for herself.

My personal belief was that he was there. We will spot a sun flare and a Sam waving in the air and it will be him behind it.

First year law stuff would get in the way of a 2 hour Saturday afternoon "family" wedding? How is he parenting or functioning as a husband? He's not a neurosurgeon or POTUS.

From what I see the current POTUS has plenty of spare time on his hands, oh no that is right he needs to be able to use that time to tweet and spew shit....

When I was reading previous comments about lack of closeness I agreed mostly but my mind like yours was drawn to jinger. Even her latest posts give me the impression that she really does love and miss her family.

Maybe no #datenight for Jill and Derick after all? Gosh, I'm crushed for them...not.

I think for all the odd Duggar relationships that we see on TV, I really do think that Jinger is 100% happy and satisfied with her choice in a spouse, and is loving her life outside and away from Duggarville. Yes, Jeremy has foul beliefs, but he presents as having led a much more mainstream adult life (school, sports, travel and living abroad). I think all of the Duggars would be happier having more mainstream exposure and experiences. There is nothing wrong with wearing jeans, playing tennis or watching shows on Netflix. The Vuolos could be my neighbors...I certainly do not know my neighbors' religious beliefs, but they are all nice, quiet, friendly, participating in society people. I imagine the Vuolos are those kind of people.

ETA- Yes, I know that does not make the Vuolos any less dangerous (and likely more so), but for all the shit those Duggar had to contend with and all the obstacles put in their ways in terms of living in the real world, it is nice to see someone seemingly succeeding and happy outside of the TTH.

Maybe the older kids from Jana to Joy where actually able to form some real bond or at least something more than the kids after Joy when the numbet start to be so overwelming that they become a number and were ship of to the first sister mom M could find?

I don't know sometimes it seems that at least the older girl have some true bond with their parents, but i'm not sure is not something i'M projecting on them hoping they have had at least something

No, but Nathan was.

It will be interesting to see how TLC edits the wedding where it concerns Josh. He was the first groomsman in, so he was kind of in the back corner. It would be fairly easy to not have him appear in any of the wedding footage.

phhhhmmm I do recall thinking Nathan was (from ashley's photos or some one like that) but I just assumed Zach was.

Any theories as to why he wasn't?

I would say we can tell some of the siblings in the wedding based on this picture:

The bridesmaid dresses remind me of Whitney and Zack’s from their vow renewal.

is it just me or are they all starting to look like the sibling of rather the spouse off their partners in these photos?

Speculation based on photos I know will get me shot but I call Anna duffed from this pic.

But wasn't it just over the state line? We're not talking about big states and 20 hour drives. Plus, the Duggars have planes.

They do have planes, but I don't know the status of the other boys licenses,... the main pilot was probably a bit busy!

I'll own it too. Same. Especially if the original photo is cropped above the waist like this one is.

It’s possible Anna is pregnant since Mason is over a year. But I’ll still be sad because that means there will be less than two years between them and I was hoping the gaps would keep getting wider and wider.

What you can’t see in the picture: the rest of the dress is form-fitting, around-knee length. My first reaction when i saw her was that she looked pregnant...but she also has 5 kids, so maybe it’s that. I guess we’ll see - Mason is 14 months old.

Still no Josiah/Lauren sightings from the wedding?

They sang a duet during the ceremony. She has a lovely voice, he was ok but obviously nervous. She wore a floor length pink dress with lots of rouching (i probably spelled that wrong).

I am watching some of those congrats videos & I love Ben's (calling it his since Jessa barely talks in it). His is a little dorky but I like how much more natural he comes across. I feel like he'd be one of the most tolerable Duggar/Duggar in laws to talk with.

Also, baby Garrett was looking chill af in the short Joe/Kendra video. He's a cutie.
