Yes, later on Joe and Si did start to help Jim Bob but Josh and John were paired together all the time. I think they will never be best friends m, the way some siblings are but they probably do get on, when they see eachother.

Under normal circumstances I would agree with you, but these people are quiverfull, all they do is have babies. So yeah any hint of a bump is going to get people going.

I googled the article. I will say Abbie looked lovely. Her hair having that natural curl was just perfect the way it is. And the picture of just her.... her dress is beautiful Just perfect for a serious adult woman. Jana and the rest of the bridesmaids look "put together".

In the videos--in all the videos, always---the Duggars always say that they can't wait to see what God has in store for you . . .

Having not grown up in a religious tradition that adheres to God planning out one's life ahead of time, I don't really get this.  Does that mean that God made Josh molest his sisters?  And look at porn?  I'm being serious here---if the good stuff is part of his plan, is the bad stuff, too? 

I feel like I asked this once before, but I forget the answer.  Sorry.  (God has limited memory in my plan, apparently.)

I agree, and I guess I shouldn't base my opinion on that one encounter, it just rubbed me the wrong way. Si just looked so deflated when she said it and I though geeze what a BITCH.

I don't think ig is convenience. In the US article Abbie says she has become close to Jana, so I don't think that is an obligation. Plus she's JD's twin and they are close.

This is a big think in most bible based faiths. I heard this all the time when we went to our fundy(ish) church. It is essentially saying I hope good things happen for you, good things are always accredited to Gods life and mercy. Bad things are because you are a sinner and or God is teaching you a lesson.

I think Abbie probably had more interactions with Jana since the other girls are busy with their families. I bet Jana probably had a number of chaperoning duties as well.

Beautiful pictures. I really like the next to last one, with JD looking at the camera, and Abbie with her eyes closed. This couple inspires a sense of tenderness and warmth in me. My wish to them is: I truly hope that, one day, they can realize how limited and stifling the world they have been brought up in is, and perhaps,  they can look beyond and see there is a world out there full of wonderful diversity.
