About this blog

I’ve been a Sims fan for a long time, and I’ve always been a fan of creating big families and trying to control them all. So, what better way to do this than play a fundie family?

This blog contains various fundie families and their stories, from Sims 2, 3 and 4. There are also some non-fundie Sim families included. It also has a few of my short stories, entirely non-Sims related, about a normal family who encounters some of our beloved (ahem) fundies in various situations, including at Wa-La Diner.

Williams Family Part Eight: Courtship and Marriage and Kids

This part will be narrated by Rebecca. I've skipped a few days; the main thing that happened was them moving to Henford-on-Bagley. *** I decided to form a club for musicians. Most of the members were female, although I had invited one male to the club. At our first meeting, he introduced himself as Alex Miller. As I got chatting to him, Elizabeth joined our conversation; I definitely had a bit of a crush on Alex, and Mum and Dad had emphasised to us about the importance of a chaperoned

Williams Family Part Seven: A New Season of Life... No More Babies or Toddlers

At the end of the last part, Lisa had recently given birth to twin girls, Bethany and Susanna. *** Rebecca is such a helpful young lady! Being able to cook will stand her in great stead when it comes to marriage and having children. I know my athletics outfit isn't the most modest, hence why I exercise indoors. The twins are such sweet blessings! It can be difficult looking after the two of them, but I know God wouldn't give me more than I can handle. Bethany's in

Williams Family Part Six: TWINS

At the end of part 5, Lisa had just found out that she was going to be doubly blessed - she was expecting TWINS!  *** Just a screenshot of the upstairs extension, with a girls' room, boys' room and bathroom. Back to the usual first-person (Lisa's POV) narration... I always love it when my kids play together! Elizabeth and Naomi love playing at the dollhouse. Rebecca is a great musician, and loves practising her violin. We converted the old boys' room into a m

Williams Family Part Five: We're Gonna Need An Extension

At the end of Part 4, Lisa had just given birth to baby #5, Andrew. *** As space was now rather at a premium, we purchased a bunk bed for the girls' room.  My garden plants needed weeding, so I got going that evening whilst whistling my favourite hymn. Once all the older children had gone off to school... Success! Baby #6 was on the way! Meanwhile, little Andrew became a toddler. We love you, Andrew! Baby #6 turned out to be... ano

Williams Family Part Four: They Just Keep Coming

Having been blessed with four pregnancies so far, I had gained a little weight. I also hadn't had much time to exercise and keep fit, so I decided to have a go on the treadmill. Household chores aren't just for girls you know! Elizabeth had made a bit of a mess with the potty, and Joseph decided to clean it up. Such a good kid! As our kids were going to public school, we naturally required that they worked hard and did their homework.  And... baby #5 was on its w

Williams Family Part Three: More Kids Than Parts

At the end of the last part, Lisa had just given birth to baby #3, Elizabeth, and Rebecca had become a child.  Joseph was rather stinky, so I was only too happy to give him a bath. He was such a sweet little kid.  I like to try and feed my family a healthy diet, and I also like to make use of leftovers. With this in mind, Rebecca ate some leftover grilled fruit for breakfast before school. Both Michael and I had been homeschooled as children. I had been prepared to hom

Williams Family Part Two: The Family Expands

Michael decided that he wanted to be the one to potty-train Rebecca, so he plonked her down on the potty and waited.  Bella popped over for a visit. "Hey, congratulations on your newest addition!" she said. "Thank you. I know Rebecca will be a great big sister." "What did you call this little one?" "We called him Joseph." "Oh, that's a great name. I've got two myself, Cassandra and Alexander." Two children, the average family. I hoped that the Lord would

NEW Family! Introducing the Williams Family, Sims 4

Yep, I decided to start another fundie Sims family, because I haven't done one in a while. I have quite a few fun/useful bits of CC I can use, as well as a couple of mods.  So, without further ado, let me introduce you to Lisa Williams and her lovely, Godly hubby, Michael. Both have the "Big Happy Family" aspiration. Lisa is demonstrating a very useful bit of CC I found - the accessory top! Now I have access to a much wider variety of clothing, as long as I use the fundie-approved acce

Parkers Part Twelve: Chloe's First Week

It's been a little while since we checked in with Chloe Parker at Sims University.  She wakes up bright and early on Monday morning, and has time to grab a quick bowl of cereal. She ends up being a little late to her first class, but she's not that worried as she sees someone go through the door just before she does.  That evening, she's feeling a little lonely, so she decides to chat to someone online. On Tuesday, she only has a lecture, which starts at mid

Parkers Part Eleven: Some University Screenshots

I've mostly been playing Sims 4 recently, but I've recently got back into Sims 3. I also have a few saves other than the Parkers, and I've been playing them. I do have a few screenshots of Chloe at university, though.  Chloe lives on her own at university, rather than in a dorm with heathens. Of course it'd be better if she lived with someone else, but I am ultimately the one in control of Chloe so I'll make sure she doesn't get up to anything dodgy.  In this first screenshot, we see t

Parkers Part Ten: Chloe Goes to University!

The first photo of the last post involved Calvin and an unfortunate bladder accident. This first photo is better... it's his birthday! Chris continues his plan of befriending as many inhabitants of Appaloosa Plains as he can. Perhaps if he dazzles them with his amazing charisma, they won't really notice his larger-than-normal family or conservative beliefs. Here's Calvin as a teen.  Amanda actually does some parenting! Caleb and Calvin are NOT impresse

Parkers Part Nine: Chris the Celebrity

We start off with a rather unfortunate situation... Calvin peed himself. Whoops. I changed Clara and Connie's outfits, to a t-shirt and skirt combo. Awww, baby snuggles! The kitchen was kind of gross, so sister-mom-helper Chloe stepped in. Ya gotta pay the bills! This is also the 2000th screenshot in my Sims 3 album. I bought the girls a kids' oven (forgetting that there were already two in the family inventory) and Connie approved.

Parkers Part 8: Just Some Random Photos

I haven't really played Sims 3 recently - I've been more into Sims 4 - but I had some screenshots.  I gave Amanda a new do! There aren't really any curly hairstyles in Sims 3, so I had to make do with some gentle waves instead. In the last part, Amanda had recently given birth to twins Callie and Carl. I decided to put them into the parents' room, so Chloe could get a little sleep. I'll move Callie into the girls' room when she's a toddler. Caleb off to work. Not quite

Clara and Connie becoming best friends! The playpen is so useful. Calvin grew up! Here he is registering for homeschool. Here's his everyday wear. Fundies love polo tops! It really is the SOTDRT in the Parker home. You can obtain a violin from the Sims 3 Store. Chloe loves playing instruments! Calvin gets stuck into household chores. Chloe makes a birthday cake for Caleb. There's another teen in the house! He looks pret

Parkers Part Six: No New Babies (Yet)

I hadn't played the Parker family in nearly two months, but with this coronavirus keeping everyone indoors I figured it would be a good time to play them again.  A reminder of the kids so far: Chloe, Caleb, Calvin, Clara and Connie. Last time we saw them, it was Snowflake Day and everyone was getting gifts.  It was also the twins' birthdays! Clara is in pink and Connie in lilac. Apparently, when you're at level 7 in politics, your taxi around town is actually a li

Parkers Part Five: Chloe the Sister-Mom

I actually haven't played the Parkers for a bit, but I do have some pictures from the last time I played them. Last time, Caleb had just aged up into a child. So, we had a second pupil in the Parker Homeschool. Sorry, Chloe. Mommy and Daddy are clearly prioritising their sleep over yours. She decided that it would be best to nap on the sofa. CHANGE ME MOMMY! Woo, snow angel! Strange that he didn't change into his outerwear, though. Taki

Parkers Part Four: Now With Homeschool!

Considering all the NRAAS mods I downloaded, you'd think I'd have thought about a homeschool one... well, now I have! It's getting chilly in Appaloosa Plains, so I gave Amanda a more suitable outfit (I often do this for my Sims). Babymaking time again... Bass practice! Chloe is a Genius (yeah, I know, another trait that seems bizarre for a fundie), so she enjoys playing chess. Chris likes getting to know people. Unfortunately, he's having to look

Caleb being placed into his crib.  He's still too young to play with his older sister, so Chloe has to entertain herself for now. Look who's able to use the potty all by herself! Notice the clear difference between the girls' room and the boys' room. Gotta reinforce those gender roles! Mommy and daughter playtime. Chloe might look scared, but she's actually about to be tickled. The interaction is "Attack with the Claw". Mmm, fish and chips. The glowy l

Parkers Part Two: Let The Baby Train Commence

So, when we last saw the Parkers, Amanda had just found out that she was pregnant with blessing #1. Time to make breakfast! Hey look, Chris is cleaning up! #besthubbyever Doing the laundry. Chris had a wish to work from home, because he's a Workaholic. I know, you're howling with laughter at the idea of a workaholic fundie, but hear me out. When he's not busy at work, he will sometimes 'work from home' autonomously, which is a great excuse for not helping wi

NEW Family: The Parkers, Part One

Meet Chris and Amanda Parker, who reside in Appaloosa Plains.  They live on the same lot as the Taylors did, at 1004 Pomona Promenade. However, I bulldozed the original small house there, and built a much bigger one. In reality, I used "freerealestate", allowing them to move in for free; in-game, I decided that the narrative would be that they grifted the house.  Chris wants to be a politician, so his first task is to get a job as a podium polisher. Like Melissa

The Whittakers Part 3: Cones of Shame

The Whittakers have a pretty big garden, and I've got a few catnip plants (you can't plant catnip in previous iterations of The Sims, only catnip toys). Here's Julia feeding Olly some homegrown catnip. I decided it was time to get the cats spayed/neutered. Lily was first up! She went into a special machine to have it done. She came out with a cone of shame. Poor kitty.  Thankfully the cone didn't last long! Little James decided he wanted to pet the cute kitty.

The Whittakers Part 2: Expanding the Household

Last time we saw the Whittakers, it was late on Love Day. They managed all their traditions! This can be what happens when you eat ice cream... brain freeze! Uh oh, looks like Lily's frightened of the toilet. Poor kitty. Julia got pregnant!  This is the standard microscope in Sims 4... pretty huge! She needed to build some Fitness skill for work, so I sent her to the Movers and Shakers gym. This lot comes with a trainer, and you get a special mood

Same Game, Different Laptop: The Whittakers

So my laptop went stupid, again. I think the battery needs replacing. My mum kindly lent me her laptop (which she doesn't really use) and I downloaded Origin/Sims 4. My first port of call was to create the Whittakers! The little family consists of Mark and Julia and their kitten, Lily, who's a calico. Julia is a Nerd Brain, which involves becoming very good at Logic and Handiness. She also enjoys video games! But where's Lily....? She's so teeny! Unlike

Sims 4: Factory Reset

So I got Cats and Dogs, plus My First Pet Stuff. Which screwed up my game big time, it just wouldn’t load. Ugh. So I made a backup, and did the factory reset. Game is now fine. I decided that I wanted to start over completely, like I’d just bought the game and expansions etc, without any of the previous saves. So, my previous games don’t exist in this version, and I’ll be starting afresh with a new family.

Getting Back Into the Swing of Things: The Powells

So I've been absent for a while!! Life got in the way, really, and I didn't play The Sims for ages.  I'll be posting on this blog more often, but there'll be some changes. Namely, I think I'll be abandoning the Taylor family. It was a mistake making them Fairies - Joey and Melissa were becoming grandparents whilst still Young Adults (due to YA and A lifespans being 105 days instead of 21) and it just wasn't particularly realistic. So I think I'll start another 'fundie' family, but as n

My mother's family's farm (in northern California) was the stable touchstone of my childhood, the place we went for many holidays & most summers, if only for a week or two at a time. My mother was a travel enthusiast, my father was in the military, my younger sister & I grew up in the back of a car. Been in every state in the union except maybe North Dakota, spent three months in Europe, three months in Mexico -- all before I was a teen. I realized, as an adult, I don't actually like traveling. It makes me anxious. My mother kept traveling up until shortly before she died.

This place is much nicer when there aren’t drunk douche nozzles trying to start WWIII with my sister.

Last time I was here I brought my sister. There was a drunk douche cannon holding court here. He and my sister took mutual exeception to each other. Well he first then my sister responded.
We got out of there before he got even dumber since there’s another brewery across the street.  Drunk fucker didn’t follow us and I think some flashing lights a few minutes later were for him.
