Dear Europe:

We Americans are harmoniously sorry for any damage the Duggars may cause you on their travels. Not all of us Americans are like them and we actually love other counties. We also talk way better than the Duggars. Please do not be offended.

Thank You.

Hahaha, I would never judge the US by the Duggars and neither would most here :) We are used to US tourists. Normally rather endearing, I remember the two I sat behind in a bus at the time of a Scottish Parliament election who spent their time puzzling out whether our parties would be Democrat or Republican, and why it was legal here for parties to call themselves "Socialist" ;)

For those here at Free Jinger who are non-Americans, how is the travel in Scottland and other countries. Is there a lot of violence towards tourists? In general?

Definitely not here towards tourists. Edinburgh is a student and tourist city. Are there dodgy areas, yes, is there crime, yes. But there is in any capital city and in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, as in any city in the world, the savvy tourist should be able to notice that they are quite far off the beaten path and adjust appropriately.

Sound of Music is one their most favorite movies.I would expect them to visit countries associated with the Von Trapps-Austria,Switzerland and Germany.

Maria had the shortest pregnancy ever. Marriage to birth in two month!! ;)

Yep. And she didn't even love him. She married him because she liked the children, not him. (I imagine she grew to love him.)

Oh, God. They'd see that as a plus, wouldn't they? :puke-front:

  • 2 weeks later...

Sean and Amy's twitter accounts are back in action. The Duggars are in Israel, up north at the Sea of Galilee. And apparently, Amy just discovered that she's allergic to mint. Now THAT will make for exciting television.

She hasn't been exposed to mint before now? That doesn't seem right. The sea of Galilee is awesome. They would be absolutely cringe-worthy at any remotely religious site. I hope they don't go street preaching. The Duggars probably won't appreciate it. I feel sorry for Israel. And anywhere the Duggars will or have visited.

The boobmeister has a keen ability to COMPLETELY overlook cultural no nos. I really hope he doesnt try to shake hands with orthodox women or something similar...

Maybe mint leaves are different for allergies than the mint flavor they put in chocolates???? which is probably the only mint that Amy has been exposed to.... I know it's all I've ever been around.

I hope that either security hauls him off for doing something stupid, or he gets pelted with pebbles for wearing short sleeves in Mea Shearim.

Apparently Israel has anti-missionary laws:

1) No one can offer a material inducement for someone to change their religion

2) No one can discuss changing religion with a minor (under 18 years of age) without their parents' permission.

Guess the Duggars won't be able to hand out the postcard of their family with Bible verses on the back.

It would be so funny if the Duggars got busted for not being modest enough.

Oh this is so tragic for Israel! I would hate to see The Boob there! I can only imagine what kind of ignorance he's spewing. Also, I'm guessing this will be one of the first times they've met the ebul Muslims & Arabs in large amounts. Should be interesting to see how they're going to react to that.

Would be pretty funny to see them get arrested for missionary work. Unfortunately, no one has ever been convicted under these laws, including groups JWs who have gone there specifically for that purpose.

I think Smuggar looks like a douche with the beard in the travel picture.
