Lori Alexander 70: Blaspheming the Word of God

I used to work with a woman who would only hire Christian contractors, use Christian doctors, etc.  Her brother, also a devout Christian, told her that sometimes, you are better off hiring someone who does NOT advertise their religious beliefs.  His church hired a "Christian" contractor to fix the roof.  This bloke was given a deposit (over $50,000) and never did any of the work.

Totally agree with this. Someone merely saying "I'm a Christian" unfortunately adds nothing useful. (True of any religion or affinity group.) The only issue is how good their work or products are. Better to rely on reviews from people who've had experience with them.

My dad died shortly before I had to buy my first car. I was a Christian at the time, and went to a small used car dealership that was owned by Christians and advertised that way. The salesman steered me toward a car that was above the price range I wanted, told me it was a great car and they couldn't go any lower, and assured me that their on-site mechanic ("a good brother in the Lord, you can trust him") had thoroughly inspected it and found no problems.

I was too young and inexperienced to see all the typical car salesperson ploys (if my dad had been with me, he could have steered me around all that), but a big part of it was me thinking "these guys are Christians, I can trust them". The car was a lemon; I had to spend thousands of dollars for repairs over the first few years, for things that would have been obvious to any mechanic that had actually inspected it. Lesson expensively learned.

I did a quick Google on Lyme Carditis and found that Lyme disease may have lingering effects for weeks, months, or years.  I don't wish Ken ill, but if he does have any effects, what is Lori going to do?  I guess she'll have to hire a live in nurse because she's certainly not going to take care of him.

Lyme's is awful. I had a friend who got it, and he lost a ton of weight and muscle mass, and struggled for years afterward just to go to work. He couldn't do anything nights and weekends, it just wrecked him. 5 years on he finally climbed out of it, but those were hard years for him and his family.

Lori is basically having a meltdown on Twitter today.  And then whining about the harsh comments she gets.  *shocked face*

Interestingly, she recently told a commenter that she doesn’t read the twitter comments because she has better things to do. I wonder which it is. Does she read them and get offended or does she ignore them because she us is far superior to all those hateful trolls?

We got an estimate on a roof repair once, the company had decals and Christian logos all over their vehicles, website, etc., and then the father of the owner came out to give us the estimate.  And within the first few minutes, he told us how the company (and his son obviously) would be willing to tell the insurance company that the cost was more than it was so that they (the company) would give us the excess $ back.  That was AFTER he'd told us how they donated so much of their profits to church and were such a great, Christian and honest business. We told him thanks for the estimate and never called them again.

Any business that claims to be a "Christian" business I stay FAR away from. They know they can rip people off and be forgiven since they're "Christians"...no thanks, give me a heathen satan worshipper who actually gives a flying fuck about their reputation in the wider community.

One more...my lawyer...no idea what religion he is, don't give a fuck. He's the most ethical lawyer I've ever met. He practices law with ethics, honor and integrity. That's all I need to know.

Yes, I try to stay away from any business if that is the first thing they mention or advertise.  I have always felt that it's unethical and a few other words, to use God/Faith as a way to make money.  Not that I have anything against making money, that is basically business.  I just don't like people using God or their faith that way.

I made toast today and I may have accidentally SLATHERED it with butter, rather than my usual method of simply spreading it with butter.  I'll show myself to the prayer closet.  :)

I wonder if this experience will drive Ken to turn his business over to his sons and retire?

Wasn't he thinking about retiring to Texas or Tennessee once upon a time?

But was it $14 butter? :pb_lol:

I can't imagine her leaving Southern California. But just think if she did agree to go elsewhere--her blog, FB, and Instagram posts would be epic in their disdain for everything and everyone around her. Just for that, I kind of wish she'd move to Tennessee. Preferably close to people like my family there. They'd eat her alive. Bless her heart. :laughing-rolling:

How would her life change if she moved?   Ken, as Command Man, would do all the dirty work - hiring realtors to sell and find them a place, hire movers to move them, Making sure there was access to organic butter and slimy salad or that she could order it.  A path for them to walk on where Lori could 'pray for' the sinners she came across.   She'd hide out in her bedroom and judge everyone just like she does now.   She'd move as long as there was wifi.   And whine/brag/whatever about how submissive she was and how she was - just like every woman should be -  CHOOSING HAPPINESS DAMMIT despite  - because Jesus! Or words along those lines.  Moving would give her more power to demand every woman be as miserable as she is.

Can you imagine Ken having to be with Lori 24/7? Right now he can flee to work, but when he retires?

He'll probably file for divorce within a week!

Ken seems normal by comparison to Lori, but he has said some really wierd things.  Also, he sees the nonsense she writes and has no issues with it.  He is responsible as well because if she really submits to him (whether in fact or for show), then he would have to oversee what she does.  His silence is his approval.

Maybe it's me, but I think she makes less & less sense as time goes on (especially the last few months).  Less Biblical and more just shooting her mouth.   I only look at twitter and it is one train wreck.  It literally makes no sense and connects in no way to biblical womanhood.  She gets horrific responses & insults and does not respond at all.  It's crazy.  No, something is going on and its not good.

I know this has been said of her for a while, but I genuinely think she's unraveling. It's like she's not even trying to pose as a mentor any more and is just getting off on saying hateful things and receiving hate in return. It doesn't even seem like victimhood is her top priority. She just enjoys hate, regardless of whether she's giving or receiving. Kind of like a hardcore troll, but she actually believes this stuff.

Her gratefulness for Ken's healing lasted about the blink of an eye.  Two Tweets already this morning, and it's not even 1:30 central time.  The first one was 5-6 hour ago, so she must have gotten up at daybreak to tell people to FLEE fornication.  Her emphasis with the caps.

I hate to say it, but the salad Lori posted on IG for her birthday doesn't look half bad.  Except for the fact that it's a salad for her birthday.  I mean, I love salad, but it's not what I would choose to celebrate with.

I can't decide whether I'd like them to move to Brentwood, Tennessee or not. The idea of the nasty Lori Alexander coming in contact with Gwen Shamblin Lara's Remnant Fellowship (it's an anorexia glorifying cult) is both amusing and highly disturbing.

It looks tasty. Maybe Ken took her to an organic restaurant for her birthday.

It's my birthday today as well. I had steak, baked potato, and big piece of cake.

Lori can take her salad and shove it.

Happy Birthday @Free Jana Duggar.  I'll be 60 on Wednesday.  One of my birthday meals (there will be several this week) will be at the casino buffet eating crab legs and shrimp.  There may be prime rib in the mix for one of the meals.

I wonder which daughter or DIL isn't cooking up to Lori's standards?  She's on a tear rambling about very few women cook home meals and we should fix nourishing meals with the best ingredients we can find and afford.  I can afford a lot of things, but it doesn't mean I'm going to buy them.  I guess this is in response to the criticism that she brags about buying expensive foods.

I think my favorite responses are from her supporters trying to twist it that she is satirizing feminism. :pb_lol:
