  1. I’m reading the MEDIC corps website, and to me it has Josh’s hand all over it. Anyone remember his cringeworthy “Strategic Political Services”? The bad acronyms, bad writing, and lack of any real substance ring a bell for me! Particularly the bit where the website outlines the meaning of ‘medical’, ‘evacuation’, etc.; I’m pretty sure Josh’s SPS website did that exact same thing. Interestingly, their website actually says that all the donations go to the staff, rather than actually to the people in need: Not sure if that is poor writing, or sleight of hand.... Also, their instagram claims to be ‘NEMA approved’, but as far as I can tell, the National Emergency Management Association (a professional membership and forum, rather than a certifying organization) does not issue ‘approved’ status, so I’m not quite sure what that is meant to mean. Nothing about it on the MC very barebones website. So, yeah. It all seems totally legit...

    My Fundie Youtube Channel

Hey all! I've been working hard on making Youtube videos lately. I talk about different subjects and people that relate to fundamentalism while doing my makeup (GRWM = Get ready with me). Like the Pearls, Bill Gothard, the Duggars, etc. My goal is to be educational plus funny. I inject a lot of memes and jokes in the videos and I like to manipulate clips I find of my subjects online. I am shooting all of these on my iphone and I'm learning to use the editing software, so sometimes the videos can be rough at times. I wanted to share my videos with FJ because this was the forum that really got me invested in fundies. I also feel like this community might get some of the more obscure references to different people in the videos. This has become a labor of love for me. I am going to link to my 3 best videos (in my opinion, at least.) Feel free to check them out and let me know what you think. Vision Forum The Pearls The Duggars Part 1
  3. It's mind boggling that the Duggars are still on. They don't actually do anything new or interesting. The entire show is about having godly, unprotected sex and producing babies. Then it dawned on me. The show is nothing but fundie porn. Titillating the masses with "godly" sex. Thoughts? Comments?
  4. I searched but didn't see where this movie had been discussed. It is a documentary about IBLP. I can't wait to see it. The movie comes out in 2017.
  5. Last thread here: Thread title because...13 and baker's dozen? I've been running on little sleep because of my job haha. We talked about Duggar-isms and...not a lot else. Duggars are boring, y'all.
  6. Continued from here: tl;dr of the last thread: JinJer are married, and there were shoes. Lots and lots of shoes. Also some dresses.
  7. Jinger and Jeremy are engaged. God stopped the rain to ensure that it was perfect. Jessa is prego Jill is back from ebil sintral amerika What fascinating BS will they force down our throats this week? Continued from here:
  8. I had some time to kill today, and I made these charts comparing how the Duggar Kidults and Bates Kidults compare to their moms when it comes to making babies. I think it's actually pretty interesting, and fj is the only place in the world I can imagine where anyone might even find it remotely interesting as I do. In any case, it's mostly just for my enjoyment and reference (I'm a fundie and math junkie I guess lmao) but I thought I might share it just in case any of you all were interested in it. If you're wondering why I didn't do anything more productive with my time today, don't worry I am too. Anyway, here it is

    The Duggars are People Too

You know, just because the Duggar family, and other families like them, live and lead a different lifestyle, which makes them subject to ridicule, they are still human beings and worthy of basic human decency. If you took the kind of abuse that it heaped upon the Duggars, you'd be plenty upset about it, I kid you not. Yes, they have done some awful things, some of them illegal and disgusting, but we all have sinned and none of us are perfect. Just sayin...

    The IBLP Lawsuit

If you have spent any time on Free Jinger, you will likely recognize the acronyms ATI and IBLP. This is the fundamentalist ministry created by Bill Gothard, an unmarried man who believes such things as: There has long been talk about both Bill Gothard and his brother committing acts of sexual misconduct with female employees and interns. As long ago as 1980, Gothard admitted to "moral failures" with some of the staff. We at FJ have long awaited some kind of action to be taken against this unmarried man who had unlimited access to vulnerable women who are taught from birth that if a man "stumbles" it is the woman's fault. On around October 21, 2015, we became aware that a civil lawsuit had finally been filed against IBLP and all the members of the Board. Bill Gothard is no longer part of the organization, having been forced to resign after another round of accusations in 2014. The board members named in the lawsuit are: John Stancil, Anthony Burrus, Gil Bates, Timothy Levendusky, Charles Stephen Paine, Jr., and David York. From Recovering Grace: The Complain in it's entirety can be found at the Chicago Tribune Each of the 5 Plaintiffs are asking for $50,000. Once a leader in the homeschooling movement, Gothard's ministry has managed to largely fly under the radar of the general public, despite having some rather high profile adherents. Recently, Rep. Daniel Webster (R -FL) was considering a run for Speaker of the House, following John Boehner's resignation. Arguably the most famous followers are The Duggar family of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, which was cancelled after several scandals related to the oldest Duggar child, Josh. In May, 2015, In Touch magazine dropped the bombshell that when Josh Duggar was a teenager he sexually abused at least 5 girls, including several of his siblings. In August, it was revealed that Josh had not one, but two accounts at Ashley Madison, a website which has the tagline "Life is short. Have an affair." For some 10 seasons, the Duggars have been promoted by TLC as a (very) large, happy Christian family. They have shown the Duggars on the campaign trail for politicians such a Mike Huckabee and RIck Santorum. While claiming to be a shiny, happy Christian family, the Duggars have spoken out against the gay community and abortion. Josh was hired by the Family Research Council and moved to Washington, DC, which was also documented on 19 Kids and Counting. Recently, Gothard and his ministry have gotten more mainstream attention thanks to Josh Duggars misconduct and hypocrisy coming to light. While the Duggar family show, 19 Kids and Counting was cancelled by TLC, they have recently announced that they plan to do several "special episodes" of a show starring the newly married Duggar children, Jill Dillard and Jessa Sewald. What some people may not know is that another high profile Gothard adherent also has a TV show. Gil Bates and his family have a show titled Bringing Up Bates on the UP network. The Bateses are often seen as a less strict, more fun version of the Duggars. They also have 19 kids and in the last several years have married off 4 children, some of which were shown on either 19 Kids and Counting or Bringing up Bates. In fact, one of the Bates children married the son of Rep. Daniel Webster (R-FL) You might recognize the name Gil Bates from earlier in this post. That's right, he is a member of the Board of IBLP and was named in the lawsuit. The general public may have the Duggar's number thanks to Josh, but there is still a high profile IBLP member that has a platform to show off these dangerous beliefs on TV and he seems to be slipping under the radar, just like the Duggars did for many years.
