Tell you what, Lori's gotten into her deleting groove this afternoon. Every time I get a notification, I click right on it*, but it's gone before I can read the comment. We're talking seconds.

I know what you mean. There was like 15 comments there, most of them positive on her side and now only 4. Its like she is deleting even her groupies now.

She sounds like she just scans each comments, notices one word she perceives as negative, and then just deletes the whole thing without actually taking the message in.

If I recall correctly, that is how Ken seemed to handle comments when he was here at FJ. His responses rarely coincided with the actual comment or question and he seemed to look for reasons to argue. He couldn't take the time to read five or six sentences but expected us to read and understand his seventeen paragraphs.

Having not read her post for today, I'm partly in ignorance in my response. Money isn't really the issue when it comes to life being better with men. It comes down to whether they treat others in such a way that MAKES life better. Even when my hubby was unemployed and I carried the financial burden, life was still better with him in it. Because he is a wonderful man and treats me with love and kindness. But not all men make life better... and even rich men can make life suck...

@AuntKrazy Yes it's gone.  Lori would say that the wife is "suffering in silence" and continuing to "win him without a word"  all the while trapped in a marriage to a man who repeatedly, continuously cheats on her with other men.  Lori would think this is a good thing because they aren't getting a divorce.

Both the husband and wife are trapped in a hell of their own making and neither of them will break the chains -- because what would people say?

I have to think that surely someone must know if the husband has been repeatedly arrested for solicitation.  I guess he could talk his way out of it ....  "Officer, it's a misunderstanding.  I'm an elder at XYZ Baptist Church.  I have no idea what this other man has been telling you, because it's all lies, nothing happened ........."

Although after the 3rd or 4th arrest it gets harder and harder to cry "misunderstanding."  Maybe everyone knows and they all turn a blind eye because the hubby is such a #godlyman and a church elder.  Let's all be sure to ignore the elephant in the room.

Ironing uniforms: Nope, not happening. He took his uniforms to the uniform shop for all alterations, sewing emblems, the whole deal...why? He was over my shoulder bitching the whole time. After the first time he drove me NUTS, that was it. I tossed the uniforms at him and told him to take them to the GD uniform shop and pay for it. Fortunately he wore dungarees most of the time (he retired before they changed the work uniforms) and it was good if they weren't smelly or too beat up. I will be ironing them for the Veteran's Day church service where all vets will be wearing their uniforms. 

And...if Mr. Xtian pinned my shoulders to a wall he'd never have sex again. Pinning shoulders leaves the legs free to take aim.

@Koala Ken's recommendations for "dealing" with a wife sound horrific. I have never personally been physically abused but that quote on pinning her to a wall or preventing her from moving with a bear hug sent chills down my spine. The whispering "I love you" part just made it ten times worse. Straight out of a horror movie. If any man did that to me I'd lose all trust in him. I wouldn't feel safe. If a man did this to a friend I would suggest divorce/separation . What makes Ken think that it is even remotely okay? Like wtf

She can't enjoy or watch or be around any woman I guess who has children and works.

Can we not (speaking kenese) say the Duggars are famous TV stars? What goal exactly was that show? And is OK because its TV stars with a mom at home?  

Another example of how her kids are allowed to go on a trip as a couple. Be it business or pleasure it doesn't matter. Lori shames other women for going on trip.  And notice she said so happy to see their mother. Come on, the kids will be happy to their father too! All kids are happy to see people who love them who they haven't seen in awhile. But to further her agenda she corners this just as a mother thing.

After a week with Grandma Lori I don't doubt those kids were happy to see their mom.

She probably told them those snakes will bite you if you complain stories while forcing 4 day old salad down their throats.

Oh yeah that too and hey the one girl was sick but couldn't express it! Finally someone to take care of her. 

Sigh in less than 5 minutes she deleted a comment from a woman who said she works and has kids. Said the bible doesn't specifically say we can't work. She told Lori not to judge lest she be judged. And BOOM deleted. It was all very nicely said.

Well, maybe not. This is Ryan we're talking about, I think. He is the one who took such pleasure in making Emma scream in hunger and then force feeding as she cried. I guess it depended on his mood as to what sort of punishment he would use on a baby. Maybe those kids were happy to be away from Daddy. 

Also, Alyssa had those kids a lot this past week. Lori claiming she had them "all week" is just another of her lies.

Weirdly, the most appalling bit in that piece to me is the going away to college note from the friend--"be strong and stay Republican" and don't "adapt" to being around gay people. WTF??? 

I shouldn't be taken aback by any of it after the people I dealt with at Christian school, but sometimes, I still am.

Agreed! I have no problem with doing things like that for Mr. Nova but if he has the audacity to complain or take it for granted, he's on his own. Let me do it my way or do it your damn self.

It could be possible that they do turn blind eye. Things like this have happened in religious groups or cults. I'll give Jim Jones as an example- Jones had extramarital affairs with both men and women and devout loyal People's Temple members turned a blind eye.

If it's anything like my group of friends that get together to eat once in a while it's the person that is the most hungry or least patient.  I swear people will stand around for an hour trying to decide where to eat.  When I start fading out because I'm starving and don't give a fuck where we eat, I just want to...eat.  My husband usually says "ok we are going x and we will meet you all there or not." and off we go.   I don't think we've ever had anyone pass because we chose somewhere they didn't want to go
