I saw on Reddit (I think it was there?) that Lily Swanson is getting married in a month to a guy from their church, Cole Cwenar. I couldn't resist checking out their wedding details on The Knot, and took an extra look at the bridal party. Lord in heaven, these fundie families are so intertwined. Lilys bridesmaids include: 

Lauren Duggar (her sister, the reason I put it here, obvious Duggar connection)

Lauren Nakatsu (listed as "best friend of the bride" - Katey Duggars sister.)

Alora Tunstill (listed as "friend of the bride" - Austin Forsyths niece)

 

I know that the intertwining isn't news, but it still fascinates me.

It wouldn't surprise me if Jim Bob would have one of his sons swing by Josh's to keep an eye on him. 

I doubt we will ever know if Jim Bob suspected Josh was viewing CSAM. Jim Bob may have thought Josh might be viewing porn or leud images, and Covenant Eyes was in place to prevent from viewing adult content. 

While I do suspect Jim Bob stepped up his level of monitoring Josh I also wonder if he felt Josh would probably stay on the straight and narrow after his first scandal came to light. I do wonder if Jim Bob was blind sighted by the CSAM. Jim Bob may have suspected Josh was tempted to or was looking at porn and thought that was terrible having no idea the age and nature of the material Josh was actually viewing.

I mean, someone shows up unannounced to the  car lot, it’s easy enough to quickly click off a website or shut down a computer: “That thing’s been acting up.” “Been so busy I haven’t even turned it on today.”

Maybe JB thought the Covenant Eyes was truly effective. I just don’t think he really monitored Josh or cared to monitor him. I think JB lived in blissful denial thinking Josh learned from his public downfall. He also may have actually been convinced Josh was no longer interested in prepubescent girls, since Josh was outed for having an Ashley Madison account which involved wanting to have affairs with adult women. I have even wondered if Josh joined Ashley Madison to cover up his pedophilia. 

I also think JB figured since Josh and Anna were churning out the kids, it meant Josh had an active sex life with his adult wife and had moved on from his interested in children. One reason Anna liked having lots of babies is it was visible proof to others that Josh found her sexually attractive, and she was fulfilling her wifely fundie duty to provide sex on demand. She figured it proved Josh wasn’t a pedophile, that he’d just been “curious” when he was younger like Jessa claimed about the molestations, and now that he could have sex with his wife any time, he’d been more or less “cured” or on the right path.

Lily is 22 per Fundie Wiki. She's the 2nd child of Lauren's parents to be married. The next one that is of getting marriaed age after is David, whose 20. After that, they have another girl, Lydia, but she's 16.

ETA: According to her Wiki page, Lilly and Cole first met in 2020 but didn't start actually"dating" till August of last year.

Are they teachers? They started getting to know each other last August working at a school. I guess I wouldn't be too surprised if they were. Austin has a niece from one of his older half siblings that is a teacher.

Weddings are so weird (and expensive). My husband’s 2 cousins had daughters who got married and some of  my hub’s sibs were invited, but we were not. I think it’s because my hub’s sibs’ kids have had huge weddings where the cousins were invited, but neither of our kids has had a wedding (1 did the courthouse overseas and the other is single). Everything is so transactional now. 

Also, I have zero fomo and greatly dislike weddings. Please don’t invite me. I am more than happy to stay home.
