Who’s the girl in the red dress on the last episode?  She’s seen sitting with Nathan and Trace during lunch when they have the tree climbing competition and again next to Josie during the football game. 

Another girl I didn’t recongnize is the one sitting next to Alyssa during the football game.

Are they Jenni’s kids?  They don’t look like Greg’s girls, but I may be missing one.  Greg had Katherine and Caroline only, right?

Anyone notice this - in the Bates fb live prior to this past episode, Katie revealed that she was planning to pursue nursing after she finishes her 1-year Bible certificate from Crown. Crown doesn't offer a nursing program that I can find.... could Gil and KJ possibly be letting Katie pull a Michael and do a program at a "regular" community college?

Katie reminds me a lot of Micheal so it would be possible. wouldn't that mean she would actually have to go into the school though. I believe Micheal did it all online I don't see how you could do nursing online.

...because any nursing program at any level requires clinical hours? even classroom clinical skills training, before that. and anatomy and physiology usually has some sort of lab component. lol.

The book about birds Kelly is showing in that video is the original IBLP character quality book. It was created in part and(I think) the illustrations were done by Gothard's creepy brother who used IBLP funds for hard core porn and is accused of sexually assaulting women. A guy like that is exactly who you want creating character lessons for children.

Nursing will require clinical hours in a hospital not to mention the classroom training prior to that.  Nursing A&P classes involve hands on lab work.  Online doesn't work for this part of a nursing program.

One of my neighbors started a nursing program online but eventually had to take classes in person so she could complete the labs, clinical training and the clinical hours at the end.  She moved to be closer to the school to do that.

YES this was my point exactly. Katie couldn't complete an "online" nursing program, that doesn't exist. And Crown doesn't offer nursing as far as I could find, so hopefully this means that Katie's getting to branch out and do some sort of community college/technical college type program and maybe later even hold a proper job. the FB live video made it at least *seem* like this was something Katie has been considering for a little while and Kelly sounded supportive (of course this is just a guess based on a bout 20 seconds of video time lol). 

I'm honestly surprised the Bates would allow that though. A daughter having a job is one thing, especially as we've seen with Josie and Whitney this year, but nursing? Heck, that involves A&P classes that are downright explicit by fundie standards, learning how to give people *baths*, working with strangers/patients who are not always kind-hearted or polite-mouthed.....

Maybe Gil and kelly are telling Katie to do one year at Crown first because they think she will meet a nice young fundie guy who she will want to marry. And forget all about wanting to be a nurse.

that and as I mention in another thread or maybe this one (Can't remember) the Bates pay for the first semester of school then it up to the kids to pay. I don't see the Bates willingly paying for a nursing program a midwife one sure a nursing one no way. so this way they get out of it.

Katie made her Instagram public (not sure how long it’s been like that). Carlin and Josie made their IGs public not long before they announced their “special friends”... 

Anyway, Katie is a gorgeous girl.

Katie won't be 18 until October so I doubt they will announce any special friends until then. I don't think they make that public until their daughter is 18. I believe they kept fairly quiet about it with Alyssa and Josie until they were 18. I feel like there aren't too many opportunities for Katie to find a special friend. She doesn't go to college yet does she? So it's mostly her brothers' friends. And my bet would be that Logan that's always around.
