We cannot have nice things

Long-running tensions in the Loudoun County Public Schools community came to a head during Tuesday’s School Board meeting after public comment descended into disorder following remarks from former Virginia State Senator Dick Black (R-13th).

The board voted unanimously to prematurely end the public comment portion of the meeting after about an hour’s worth of remarks. One attendee was taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies and another was detained in the resulting discord, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Parents, students, staffers and other stakeholders had packed the boardroom to support and criticize the board on a range of topics, including a draft policy on transgender students’ rights and the school system’s alleged adoption of critical race theory.  The vote to cut public comment short came after the crowd twice failed to acquiesce to Chairwoman Brenda Sheridan’s (Sterling District) requests to maintain order.

The board reconvened an hour after terminating public comment and immediately went into closed session. The public-facing portion of Tuesday’s meeting finally resumed — albeit with the public barred from the room — around 8:15 p.m., almost three hours after the comment portion of the meeting ended. The public was still able to follow the proceedings on the Board’s livestream and on television.

A Florida BT in action

Quote

A Donald Trump fan is facing felony charges after allegedly assaulting a quartet of nurses during a late-night fracas in the emergency room of a Florida hospital, police report.

According to cops, Roseanna Denton, 28, was brought to Pensacola’s West Florida Hospital around 12:30 AM Saturday by her parents for “suspected drug use and erratic behavior.”

Denton’s kin told nurses that she “may have needles in her purse that could cause a hazard to hospital staff.”

Seen at right, Denton allegedly scuffled with nursing staffers who sought to restrain her, battering four victims in the process. Denton, cops allege, punched, kicked, scratched, and spit on the nurses (each of whom wanted to press charges against her).

Gee, why haven't "patriots" like Ted Cruz, Lauren Boebert, and Marjorie Taylor Greene made a video showing us these tunnels?

There are tunnels underneath each building. They don't connect to each other. The ones under the Capitol building go to the different House and Senate office buildings. It's how congress critters move back and forth. There's even a subwayThe ones in the WH connect to the buildings close by.

There are tunnels under the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, too, and a couple of them near the entrance of Epcot. My college had a couple tunnels connecting dorms to the cafeteria. Large locations with many buildings, particularly ones built during the cold war era, often have tunnels connecting the buildings! Who knew?

The Q nuts are just insane. Truly brainwashed, gullible, unintelligent people with no critical thinking skills whatsoever.

One of the local banks here has a tunnel that they built to connect their headquarters and operations center so people wouldn't have to exit the buildings and cross the street, which at the time it was put in was part of a US highway.  Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids has a tunnel system to connect the various buildings together for utilities and to allow people to move between buildings.  It gets quite a bit of use in the winter because it enables people to move between buildings without having to step outside.

Locke is talking about the other system of tunnels. The ones adorned with satanic markings that have vending machines every few feet that dispense adenochrome and are lit by oil lamps that ooze blood! :scared-eek:

Jesus shut down Right Wing Watch?  Someone should ask Rick if the Jesus he mentioned looked like this?

Of course I ended up going through the long airport security line with the guy wearing a "Proud Trumpian" sweatshirt.  I social distanced to the extent possible!

It did give me time to ponder what he could possibly be proud of. Interesting times.

That might be a good representation of him after his height is adjusted to be proportional to his weight?
