UP is considered a premium channel in my area! Much as I's like to watch the Bateseseseseses, I'm not playing extra to do so...

Wow - I know next to nothing about this family but after watching this episode, must say Erin seems like an amazing woman... This must be an awful time for her. I really wish her nothing but the best.

There is something so much less fake about this family than the Duggars...

She needs to see a gynocologist: pronto!

Do you think she hasn't for some reason? I seriously doubt she hasn't sought medical advice/attention for this, especially given that her first miscarriage at least ended in a d and c.

Oh, Erin

Im so sad for her, it must be so hard with her brother now being a father and her sister being pregnant. I hope that she isn't too hard on herself, it is not her fault at all, she seems like a lovely person, and its sad she was raised in a culture that tells her that babies are God's blessings and that the ultimate sign of holiness is having a massive family...and such pressure to have her mother's amazing fertility. :(

I hope one day, she is able to have a baby.

To be honest I highly doubt that at this point in her life and marriage that even a little bit of her feels pressure that her mother was fertile or that babies are a sign of holiness. She simply wants to have babies. She is a mid twenties healthy beautiful young woman with a strong marriage to an amazing man who obviously adores her. It is natural to want to have children next. I could not imagine going through the excitement and then loss of a much wanted child once let alone three times! Even a surprise pregnancy would be welcomed by my husband and I because we love children in and of themselves. I do not doubt Erin simply wants the same thing.

As much as outsiders looking in can say that this may be a blessing to have time alone with Chad before children, to experience marriage on its own, I know what it is like to desire something from the deepest core of your soul and hoping every month that this is might be the day your whole world changes. And I have not struggled with fertility issues at that. I cannot imagine not letting the deep want and love of children your body continues to reject eat you away with bitterness. Especially when those close to you can so easily experience it.

All I'm saying is that they truly missed an opportunity by not calling their show "All About That Bates."

Lol love it!!!!

I really hope that Erin is seeing a specialist regarding her trouble if it is indeed true that she has had three miscarriages. I am 26 and have been told that I am going to have a very hard time conceiving naturally. I am not married yet, but it's something that weighs on me heavily. I've been to endocrinologists, had ultrasounds, etc, but can't find a definitive diagnosis for what I deal with (heavy, heavy, painful, irregular periods that make me very, very sick, spiking hormone levels, night sweats and general oddness) besides PMDD. We've ruled out PCOS (I'm pretty thin at 5'9" and a size 6-8) and endometriosis but have no other answers. I'm lucky that it's something that I'm actively aware of and can then try and "troubleshoot" when the time comes. I can't imagine simply relying on God or whatever to get answers.

Watching it now on demand. That shower is one of at least two they had because Whitneys adoptive mom gave her a big shower at her place according to Instagram. It was outdoors and all the Bates were there.

Tori is very fiesty, wow! "If they don't like my food then they can get in the kitchen and make their own. Otherwise SHUT UP AND EAT IT!"

They only mentioned Erin's one miscarriage and it was a big part of the show. They didn't mention religious beliefs or skirts only or any of that. Kelly is so much more tolerable than Michelle Duggar.

I'm watching it now on demand. It's very slick and the family seems very likable. They are learning what works and what doesn't from the Duggar model methinks.

Exactly. We don't know she hasn't seen a gynocologist - my bets are that she has even seen a gynecological oncologist at this point.

My heart is broken for Erin. After suffering infertility, and then having a totaly hysterectomy, I knew exactly how she felt.

While I can't stand Gil and his grifting ways, the kids seemed real, and genuine, and had SO MUCH MORE personality than any of the Duggars. Tori is hysterical. And even Zach was adorable when talking about becoming a first time parent.

Has anyone figured out a way to watch this if you don't get the channel? I'm in Canada...

I wish I could watch it :( and I hope Erin is told tactful responses. A mom in my moms group lost her first baby at 32 weeks and there were so many horrible comments and question that just needed to be unsaid.

Three miscarriages??? Whoa, that has to be hard especially seeing her sister's and SIL's pregnancies. Given she had a d&c earlier I would think she's probably seeing a specialist by now.

When we only knew of the first one earlier this year, I thought it was a bit premature to speculate about any fertility issues but it seems there really is an issue of some kind.

Feel sorry for her, this is certainly not what she expected.

The Duggar Family Blog by Lily and Ellie just launched a Bates Family Blog and their most recent post includes descriptions of the first three episodes. It looks like next week they will show Erin and Chad visiting the gynecologist and getting some news on their fertility issues. Hopefully for their sake it is good news.
