Haven't any of these people read Song of Solomon? Yowza! That's ALL about attraction, hot sex and love.

They preach that it’s an allegory. For random other things. Anything except that it’s about sex.

Years ago I got in a fight with Lori on her blog. I tried to tell her that physical attraction is important in marriage, if previously virgin women (who might not have any idea about arousal) are to be ready to "submit" to sex at all times, they need to be attracted to their partner for things to biologically progress sexually. She and Trey had a field day with me saying nope nope nope. Back on their marital rape BS.

And the lack of self awareness is truly painful to witness.

And yesterday she posted a YOUTUBES video talking about people's lack of discernment. I agree, people need to use discernment to understand what she is saying is NOT the gospel truth.  Her idea of discernment means "you have to think exactly like me on all issues." And then she rails against Christians who send their kids to school (is if confirmed one of the DILs sends a child to school?), politics (arguing that Trump was a godly Christian man, IN FACT ONE OF THE BEST PRESIDENTS EVER -- as if?!?!?) and a whole host of other things.

As usual, you must think 100 % like Lori or you are simply wrong, don't love God, aren't a good godly Christian, and just plain "wrong thinking" (words Ken and Lori like to usual frequently)

So Lori tells women not to be focused on the news of the day, and then proceeds to like posts about politics and COVID?

Why Lori, you must hate God and his perfect ways. Tsk tsk

Lori's golden rule is "do as I say, not as I do!"

She wants to limit other womens' lives. She doesn't want any limits on her OWN life. She's already ~Godly~ remember. She gets to do whatever she wants. And everyone else gets to do whatever she wants for them. She just has a hard time understanding why so many others don't GET that. Just do as Lori says, while she does the exact opposite, without thinking or asking questions, and you'll be godly too!

Oh, gosh...Today in her YOUTUBES she is talking sex and about only putting things in "the right hole" again.  I want to know who these women are who are writing to her for sex advice?

Her advice can be summed up:  Only have "normal" good sex with the right hole.  Oral sex didn't exist before, it's not in the Bible, it might be bad, but it might be OK, but it really might be bad if that's all he wants.  I don't know what all that 50 Shades of Whatever is, but it's bad. Really bad Don't play in the sewer because my dad says so (for the 100th time because he's is/was a pathologist and KNOWS).   Sex might hurt but do it anyway. Use lots of lube or go see a doctor, but I don't really care because it's all in your mind.  But for God's sake, please only have NORMAL REGULAR sex.

I'm not a prude. None of my girlfriends are prudes. Coincidentally none of us were virgins when we got married, and my never married friend has an active sex life with her gentleman friend (they don't live together).

I put this out there because as long as I've know these women, we've never talked about the right hole/ wrong hole or whether oral sex is good/ bad/ or indifferent or any of the sex topics Lori harps on,

Why you ask? Because we don't care about what everyone is doing or not doing in bed. We don't care if they're watching porn or not. We don't care if lube is involved or not. We know we all have a sex lives and leave it at that. It's called a private life for a reason.

Lori has put her sex life on the internet for Ken, her children, grandchildren, family, in-laws, Trey, Cartman, Our Friend Flicka, Adam Walker, her leghumpers, and the rest of the world to read.  I know more about her sex life than I do about my BFF's.

I do not want to hear about Lori's sex life, but she keeps talking about it anyway.

I just want it to stop.

When I was in college, we talked about our sex lives kinda regularly.  Many/most of us were new to it (I was a late bloomer and didn't even lose my 'technical' virginity until after college), so we discussed things with each other.  I was a member of a large co-ed club in college, so there were many hookups in the group.  The girls would give each other advice on birth control and other things.  It may seem overly personal, but it was good that we had friends to support us.  This was in the 80's and before the internet, so it was helpful.  Lori would have been horrified that non-married people were having sex, but I think that she would actually have loved it because she enjoys talking about it and would have enjoyed judging us for it, and would have used it as a reason that women should not attend college.

Now that I am married and middle-aged, this is not a normal topic of discussion with my friends.  I have no desire to discuss it with others, and I doubt that they want to know about my activities.  But Lori is older then me and still fixated on other people's sex lives - makes me wonder why.

Yeah, I had a pretty good idea in high school/college which of my friends had had sex or were currently active, because it came up under various contexts. Once in a while we still discuss it, if we need to vent about something or ask a question or want advice/suggestions. But it's not ever about "the wrong hole" or obsessing over whether my friends are having "godly" sex! Seriously, unless they really need to get something off their chest with someone they trust, it's private and not my concern as long as whatever they're doing is safe and consensual.

I do not give a damn what other people do in their bedrooms (or wherever else they do it). I don't want to know. Unfortunately, my kids never got that message. I know more about their private lives than I ever wanted to. As regards my friends, its fair to assume most of them are or have been sexually active...long term marriages, kids, long term boyfriends, whatever. There's only 1 who shares details with me, but we are more like sisters than friends and have known each other for more than 40 years (damn, we can't be that old!).

As for everyone else, whatever makes you happy...

So much for taking the Bible literally. They should at least follow through with it. and not pick and choose. But we’re talking about Lori and other fundies here, so who am I kidding?

Some highlights: From Lori—No one should ever snack on anything. It’s bad for digestion to eat more than three meals a day. Someone told her that’s not true and she fell back on being godly. So apparently I missed when Jesus or even Paul said anything about how many meals to eat. One poster wrote a long thing about how we have Jesus to help us eat healthy. And, my favorite, a poster explaining that juice is healthy IF you grow your own oranges and juice them yourself. Otherwise it’s too high in sugar. Someone explained that diabetes is caused by salt. And they list their mind when anyone challenged Lori’s post—that a moderate amount of sugar won’t kill you, that high fiber whole grain cereals aren’t the same as sugary kids cereals, etc… Oh, and someone suggested only eating things that existed before 1900 because those things are automatically healthy.

Diabetes is caused by SALT?? Hahahahahahahahahahaha.... No.

Of course, if it was, I'd still be doomed. I've always eaten too much salt as well as too much sugar (working on the salt issue, have cut way back on the sugar since I'm now diabetic. Because of the SUGAR, Lori, not the salt!).

So, whole grain cereals are as bad as sugary ones. Well, that's news to me, too. Ugh, come on, Facebook, get your shit together; I'm missing out on a lot of nutritional 'education' here! :laughing-rolling:

Thank you for keeping me updated, @louisa05 ❤️

Today Lori has the bright idea of using her platform to provide Covid misinformation. Some unnamed and unattributed facebook 'doctor' apparently "can't say" that his nurses are "safer with the vaccine than without it" -- because apparently this 'doctor' got through medical school without the ability to read the results of normal double-blind medical studies. Which say that people are *much* safer when vaccinated against Covid-19.

Lori claims that this totally real 'doctor' is privy to unreported evidence that people are dying from the vaccine just as much as they are dying from Covid. He knows it, and now Lori knows it. But it's a secret between the two of them. That's why there is no source, no data, and not even a name for the 'doctor'. It's Lori we trust with our lives now, I guess.

And Lori wants you to know that it's all about fat.

You can sort people who die this way: when thin people die it's the vaccine. When fat people die, that's Covid.

Lori trusts in Jesus and dieting to keep her well. She's in a vulnerable population but she doesn't care. She'd rather get a disease that causes rampant death and disability at a known rate -- instead of a vaccine that might have something long-range crop up maybe sometime in the next few decades. Because that's sound risk assessment in the mind of Lori.

In the meantime, Lori shames people who choose vaccination for lacking trust in Jesus and 'living in fear' of things that are actually dangerous but can be easily avoided.

Instead of basic vaccination Lori advises eating oranges. And bread (it's not a simple carb if it's homemade?) butter, eggs and bacon (wow!) yogurt, berries, and granola (okay). She thinks some oils are better than other oils and that white sugar causes cancer. (But just the white kind, right?) She legitimately thinks that buying organic options will prevent Covid.

And today's prooftext: Paul thinks that people's bodies matter and they should be careful to behave ethically and worship faithfully because the Holy Spirit indwells believers and is present for all of their activities. Lori thinks God loves diet culture.

I didn’t even know Facebook was down until LazyLori tweeted, but I am so glad to learn that the queen of social media thinks no one should be on…social media.

God knows we wouldn’t want to miss out on being physically present for someone like, for example, a dying mother or a hospitalized husband, especially if we were camped out on SM while we were absent.  ‘Cause that would be wrong.

An old friend of mine is turning Lori-ish about COVID and nutrition and vaccines in general and it’s breaking my heart. When I told her about my vaxx appointment back in January, she told me, “I don’t do vaccines.” And she was a *CNA*, ffs. She thinks that growing and eating her own organic foods will keep her bulletproof.

At the moment, I am recuperating from a knee replacement I had five days ago. She has offered to come over and help me out, but I keep being reminded of the time she posted something on FB about a woman who used essential oils to prevent knee replacement surgery. (My response: “Please tell me this is a joke.”) And even though I’m fully vaxxed (except for the booster), I don’t want anyone’s unvaccinated @$$ in my house.

Good luck with that recovery.  It's a rough process for the first several weeks, and it's not unusual for people to feel like they regret it for a little while.  Then several weeks in, it's like a switch flips and the pain is much less, and they start wondering why it took them so long to get it done.  Do your exercises!  They may be miserable for a while, but they do really help.

We have a couple of nurses in the family that are, for some unknown reason, refusing to get the vaccine. Seriously.
