Josh, Anna, M'Kids 23: Failing at Object Lessons Now Really Failing with a Federal Arrest!

Anna has been brainwashed from birth. I know she stayed with him when she absolutely shouldn't have, but she's a victim. First of her parents, now of the family/cult she married into when she was just a girl. My belief is that she truly sees no way out. Anyone who believes they must forgive *no matter what* is someone without boundaries, someone exceptionally vulnerable. She's something of a child herself. I pity her tremendously.

BY that logic so is Josh.  At what point do these people get held accountable for perpetuating the damage to their kids.  She lost the right to pity when she continued to have kids with a serial child sex predator.

It looks like Kendra has deleted all the comments about Josh. That must’ve been some work. Because there were quite a few. She should have just turned comments off.

Absolutely on the mark.  Given what he was raised in and his past behavior, Josh definitely shows that he has a very warped view of sexuality and it’s led him to some very dark places.  He comes from a belief system that treats sexuality in general as something shameful and dirty.  He most likely needs therapy (actual, professional therapy based in science and research, not “Christian counseling”) to understand why he’s acted out in such destructive ways (destructive to those girls, as well as destructive to his marriage in the cheating scandal and porn addiction), but because of his belief system, he’s not getting that therapy.

And you’re also on the mark on making sure that we talk to any young people who may be curious about viewing online porn about the possible consequences of doing so.  It would be an informed conversation without attacking the person’s sexuality or making it shameful.  Just like anything on the internet, you have to be conscious and careful about what you share and what you download.

Yup. It blew my mind that you can search for and look at pornography that is completely legal and still get prosecuted for possessing child pornography.

I'm not a porn fan in general, but if people feel like they need to look at it, they need to know that you don't have to search out the illegal stuff. Obviously, certain terms make it more risky to browse online pornography (stuff like "schoolgirl" and "jailbait"), but it can be anywhere and it doesn't even matter if you've looked at it or if the images depict actual people rather than cartoons.

I’m still thinking this may be financially related, because those cases tend to take time to build. You’d think that an arrest for CP would happen faster...

Oh my, your weight becomes public when you are detained? Note to self: never get arrested in US...

I wondered about that. Like do they arrest you and then put you on a scale/take out the tape measure? Seems pretty strange to me.

I don’t believe she’s on her own like most other women would be. She will just move into the big house like last time. Hannie, Jordyn, and Jenny will all help her and JB will pay for everything if she stands by her man.

That will be even worse if they make her move to the big house. I mean she isn't allowed to stay in a windowless warehouse with her own children by herself unchaperoned? I always assumed that she was in the big house at first while the warehouse was being made up for her.

I would be shocked if he could cook up financial crimes complicated enough for them to have to build a case, by himself.  He's not a smart man.

If it is financially related, (and I hope it is)  in a way it would make him even more of a criminal mind.  Not just a criminal in one category, but two.

Could be #1 and be a first step to bring down Jim Bob / the whole Duggar business, couldn't it? ?

according to pickles Jim Bob and Michelle and most of their home kids are in Big Sandy, Texas right now for the annual ATI family conference

HA .

Boobchelle have already given their speech. I'm sure they pulled up stakes and rushed home as soon as Anna called them.

Best case scenario it's financial but he's the fall guy.  Didn't plan it, but dumb enough to be involved and will end up taking the rap.  All speculation but I just hope whatever it is didn't cause harm to any more children, or innocent people.

I completely agree in theory that Anna should leave.  But where would that leave her?  She has no education, career or job and 12 kids (or whatever the count is now).  The Duggars would NOT support her for not supporting their precious Joshy.  And her family probably wouldn't either because of their warped thoughts on forgiveness.  Even if they did, how would they financially support her?

I don't think it's right that she stayed with him, but she herself hasn't molested anyone. I have been trapped in a marriage before. I was 19. I married an abuser. The only reason I was able to leave is because my mother got me out. I didn't have kids. She does. And she's in a cult. I can't help but feel pity for her. I don't feel pity for Josh. Josh has done horrible things. Yes, he's been brainwashed too, and his parents are monsters. I think it's unfair to tar Anna with the same brush.

Maybe she'll get out now and see the light. I hope so.

I agree. IF this is financial, there’s no way he’s the only one involved.

My husband went straight to money laundering or tax evasion, I went straight to him financing bits of the insurection since Homeland Security just arrested a bunch of people for that. Hope it's something financial and not anything that directly harms kids.

I don't think Anna would see that as "making her move" to the big house. Rather that she gets an upgrade for herself and the kids by moving from the warehouse to the TTH

And now that I think about it... If the Duggars (as in JB/M) knew this was coming, that is actually a reason to marry off a couple of the adult children. More space in the big house for Anna and the kids.

i just can't believe how SMUG he looks in his MUGSHOT. I hope that doesn't mean it's some offense that he knows will make him into some fundie martyr, like plotting another insurrection or plotting to blow up an abortion clinic.
