Well, she and the kid did probably did get Covid from him.  So there's that.

Or from anyone else there, with so many infected anti-maskers that entire place had to be teeming with germs.

I know she's the FLOUTUS and all, but I don't see them as a couple.  Do you think she spends any time with him at all?  This looks like a marriage on paper only deal to me.

Oh I don't think they even like each other as people. I also think they would have probably gotten divorced if he hadn't become president. I wouldn't be shocked if she leaves the moment she learns he has lost the election for good.

Agree.  My money is on her renegotiating that pre-nup when he ran making his marriage a business transaction and she's riding out her contract.

They are a couple of convenience. There is no romance there, and probably never was. There is absolutely no love lost between them. It's rumoured (speculation more than anything) that she doesn't even spend much time in the WH, preferring to stay with her parents and at other places without him. She's only seen together with him at strategic photo op occasions, so by design, not preference. And on those occasions when are spotted together we see her swiping away his hand or avoiding touching him most of the time.

I have never heard him speak, but I've read places that Baron has a slight eastern European accent from spending so much time with only his mom and grandparents.  This doesn't make sense to me as I know many people with immigrant parents who have nothing but an American accent despite not even speaking English at home.

As horrible as she is if she's keeping Baron away from his father to the point where he once said "the First Lady has a son" then that's something.  Better one toxic parent in your daily life than two?  Sad either way.

This is almost a third of mail in votes! If counted, would they change the results?

Biden is super unpopular among Latinos (not least because the Obama admin really wasn’t that great for Latinos). The Biden campaign pretty much just ignored this weakness, apparently thinking that just saying “look how terrible Trump is” will win them the Latino vote. Clearly that backfired in a major way. Biden made significant gains among white voters compared to Clinton, and had significant losses among Latino voters. Here’s hoping that won’t bite us all in the ass this election. But they (and the entire Democratic Party) really need to step up their game when it comes to convincing Latino voters.

WHY is this? How would Trump be more relatable to your average Latino? Celebrity (pseudo to sane people) factor?

Probably not. Trump won by an large margin in Florida. Florida VERY much blew its one job in this group project.

As a Venezuelan with lots of friends and family in the US and everywhere, Trump played the media game of fear calling Biden a socialist and we all know what Cubans and Venezuelans fear the most: Socialism. Sadly, most people out of ignorance didn't take the time to actually read reliable sources and investigate about Biden and fell for it; also, most of this people went from an extreme left to an extreme right (to be honest Latinos are still quite conservative) so they think going for Trump is the way to go. My husband's family lives in the Miami-Dade county and they ALL voted for Trump, and lots of people we know. Hell, even my mom who hates Trump's guts was asking me about Biden being a socialist.

Yep, and as my daughter(married to an Ecuadorian and lives in Ecuador) told me last night, if you’ve never lived through what happened in Venezuela, and the changes that happened in that country, it’s very difficult to understand where these folks are coming from.

I think Trump hammering home “Joe Biden = a vote for Socialism” really resonated with voters in South Florida. My daughter lives in So America and is married to a local, has a family... The countries in Latin America swing from left to right, and they turn on a dime...Trump told those immigrant voters what they wanted to hear, and instilled the fear into them, particularly the Cubans and Venezuelans.

Were the Dems hammering home "Donald Trump = a vote for dictatorship"? Because they should have been. Democrats are by and large educated city dwellers who avoid black and white language and embrace the fact that complex problems require complex solutions. It's true and honourable but it sounds wishy washy to many people. It's great for governing, but to get elected there needs to be a really straightforward, easily digestible message for the masses.

We all knew that the legislative powers in charge in FL were never going to be responsible for making Trump a one turn President.

I had an early appointment this AM and I always listen to at least 5 minutes of Rush if I’m in the car during his show (Hold your opponent closer). Today he was hitting Cindy McCain and the McCain family hard for turning (controlling) AZ blue. He was blaming the McCains for their response to Trump’s comments about his lacking respect for McCain d/t his POW status. Guess what buddy, words can have consequences. I hope AZ is the difference!

It took me way longer than it should have to figure out you didn't mean this Rush...

I was wondering what the hell Geddy Lee had done to you :)

I think the one constant in all presidential elections is that Florida will drop the ball. They will always be that one guy in the group project who shows up with the work half done.

Democrats need like an entire task force devoted to trying to figure out Florida.

Sexism was a huge part and that needs to be changed, but it wasn't all of it.  She was HATED in so many corners the fact that she got the popular vote is an indictment against Trump.  The dems knew she was unlikable and ran her anyway.

Maybe likeability shouldn't matter as much as it does, but as long as that's in play they cannot run someone who draws so much disdain from disparate groups and hope it goes well.

Biden wasn't my first choice and I don't think he was the first choice of many here, but being likeable is what's making this close.

I hate Trump for many things but in 2016 one of them was forcing me to support her.

I think at least part of the problem is they don't understand the latino vote well. Puerto Ricans are not the same as Cubans, are not the same as Mexicans, are not the same as Venezuelans, and I could go on. Also, I'm not an expert in all the various latino groups, being whiter than you can possibly imagine, but I do have some ties to the PR community, and that community is pretty darn socially conservative. I think that's also a factor too in other segments of the latino population.

I heard a few people say that it was a choice between fascism and socialism, and they "didn't know what to do." no amount of explaining Biden's policies really works when people don't care that much. It's easier to get people excited when you just have to get them to chant a few buzz words, VS trying to talk about zoning, political structure, corporate taxes, election integrity and so on. Way easier to "Make America Great" and not think too much about what you are saying or how.

He has to pay for the recount, because it's not within the threshold for the autorecount. 3 million dollars, put it on his tab. They should refuse him, his credit isn't great.

Neither senator candidate in North Carolina has a majority right now. If that stays will it go to a runofff?

So with Wisconsin he is at 237 ? Does that number include Michigan?

I had ABC News on during part of my lunch (while eating before I took a walk) - Their map has Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina all grayed out.  (that was also about an hour ago).
