  1. Continued from here: So, Biden has won again (and again and again and again). Trump is pouting. The Trump Administration is frantically trying to blow up as much as possible on the way out. Rudy and his team are insane. Oh, and Biden's nominees who have been announced are, by and large, seasoned and reasonable people who are qualified for their jobs. What a refreshing change from the last four years.
  2. Continued from here: So The insane coalition of hardcore Trumpsters were incited to riot. Trump couldn't "find" more votes in Georgia, more riots are planned in the next nine days, and Biden is going about the work of forming an administration. Oh, and Trump is being impeached again, so he'll be the bigliest ever as far as impeachments go.
  3. Continued from here: The electoral college is voting today to declare Biden the winner again. Trump is still threatening more lawsuits (I guess he's appealing to Judge Judy or Judge Box-o-Whine). The Supreme Court turned him down cold. He's also encouraging his crazed supporters, like the pants-less Proud Boys. Biden is building an administration of seasoned professionals, which is upsetting some folks. More popcorn is needed.
  4. Continued from here: So Biden has won, but Trump and his crazed followers can't accept it. Who's the snowflake now? Continued discussion of the election returns, reactions, and transition to a future with a real government. From the WaPo Editorial Board: "As Republicans cower from the truth, Joe Biden displays decency"
  5. Continued from here: I know we have two and a half months until Inauguration, but Joe and Kamala's speeches tonight made me feel so hopeful. I thinking about the song, "The Future Is So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades."
  6. Continued from here: Hopefully today is the day we break free of groundhog day and have a declared winner.
  7. Continued from here: Well, folks, we still have hope, but far too many people signed up for four more years of insanity. There are lots of main-in ballots to be counted, so we might be waiting for quite some time. Remember, we're in this together. I've brought the raspberry orange mimosas And some chocolates:
  8. Continued from here: "With primary’s first winnowing at hand, candidates face tough choice: Drop out or continue on ‘fool’s errand’"

    UK madness again!

So this has happened. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-39643804 She of the ugly leather trousers has decided that "the people of the UK must have their say" now, despite effectively being in power unelected since last summer. So we get a snap general election which no doubt will be used as a way to try and grab more power for herself and her wealthy friends so that they can continue to steal from us and lay the blame on disabled people and kids. So far the following things have happened: The papers claim that the Tories will certainly win. The papers claim the T
  10. I was very torn about who I wanted to win the election for the new chair of the DNC because I really like both Tom Perez and Keith Ellison. I had even joked to a friend the other day that I wish they could both win and run the DNC together. Well the results are in, and I couldn't be happier. Tom Perez won and then he appointed his opponent as his Deputy Chair. http://www.palmerreport.com/politics/tom-perez-wins-dnc-chair-keith-ellison-deputy/1668/ And the new DNC chair and Deputy Chair have a message for Donald Trump: http://www.palmerreport.com/opinion/tom-perez-keith
  11. Meanwhile in Brownbackistan (by the way, Brownback is now asking for tax hikes to fix the disaster he's made of the state budget. The alphabet doesn't go far enough for me to give his economic theories in action a grade) And remember Kobach looked for a while like Trump was courting him for something. http://cjonline.com/news/state-government/2017-01-14/kansas-election-officials-threw-out-thousands-ballots Bolding above is mine. 13. For days now (weeks) I've been trying my best to talk people down off the election ledge (both online and in real life) - so I'm going to put my daily positive election news here in this thread for those who need a pick-me-up. If anyone else has good election news to share, please post your information too! Daily Kos has a headline that says there's no tightening of the election: http://elections.dailykos.com/app/elections/2016 Hillary's still has a greater than 90% chance of winning, just like the did before. Huffington post agrees with this. Her chances are unchanged:
