That's definitely Josie and Kelton. They're wearing the same thing they were wearing in the picture in which the photographer tagged them (which has since been taken down). I agree, though, that that's a rather daring pose for them. I'm also surprised Josie was allowed to wear this dress. At least from this perspective, the see-through part starts preeeeetty high up her thigh. (To be clear, I think she looks absolutely stunning and I actually love the dress from what we've seen so far - I just didn't think it'd fly with even the Bateses' new, more relaxed dress standards.)

This pose is indeed a surprise. My mind just wandered off, as the photographer had tagged the original photo with #elopement (and hundreds of other hashtags) and for a short second I thought: well, well the two love birds eloped, got engaged on their own and ditched all the modest rules. 

Of course, I am fairly sure that is not what happened but a girl can dream. The Hashtag was weird though, but iirc there where lots of hashtags that didn’t fit the photo and are probably just to get found easier.

I didn’t know at that time Kelton was “waiting” for her to grow up. I imagine they got a lot of promises when they halted their relationship, hence the quick trip to engagement.

I like that he did the charm bracelet idea. It gives a slightly unique twist to the scavenger hunt engagement. And I like that he took her on her dream trip as well. It seems like Kelton (or the network) worked hard to make this special and personalized for her.

And I found this on a random fan account. Josie’s face is pretty phenomenal. 

She probably knew what was about to happen, but I’d guess that she wasn’t really expecting a proposal at the exact moment it happened. Or she knew it was happening and just felt shocked that the moment had actually arrived.

You mean both sets of parents dropped everything and traveled out to Utah? To do this fake scavenger hunty thing? This sets such a high bar that no fundie man can ever compete with. 

As for Josie's face, I think she is just over-acting. "Look surprised!" doesn't mean to look as though the Messiah has come.

Hahahaha I know I’m a horrible person but when I saw this in my ig feed I immediately thought of Carlin and how pissed/jealous she must be. (But really girl, savor this extra time to really think on Zoolander). After her comments during Tori’s wedding about how jealous she was, I cannot wait for her itms during this episode.

Since one of the charms in her bracelet is a plane, I would assume they flew. I wonder if Trace flew them out or if they flew commercial. Is their plane big enough to transport 5 passengers?

While Carlin is going to be pissed, I believe her Josie and Kelton are more mature and in a better financial position to be engaged. Carlin had a horrible attitude at Tori's wedding because Tori was getting married before her, her younger sister getting married will piss her off more.

I know I was joking around about wanting to see Carlin’s reaction if this happened, but now that it has I actually feel a bit bad. At this point marriage is the only way out of the house for Carlin.* It sounds like she was making a real effort to appear happy in the Facebook Live they did prior to the official announcement and that can’t have been easy for her given how fresh the news was at that point. I hope that Carlin is able to be happy for and supportive of Josie, but I also hope her family is considerate of Carlin’s feelings as well and that they don’t force her into situations that will make things tougher for her.

*We can discuss endlessly how she could simply leave or ask for help from her grandparents or any other possible means for leaving her parents’ house, but at the end of the day that all depends on Carlin realizing her parents have severely shortchanged her and I don’t see that happening any time soon.
