Dearly departed MIL was given a hand towel to fiddle with and she had hours of entertainment.   Sometimes she hemmed it, sometimes she gathered it... but it gave her comfort at the time.  Twiddle muffs look fantastic!

I used to visit my late grandmother a couple of times a week in the nursing home.  There was one old lady who was always rolling up bandages.  I wondered about it, and one day asked a nurse.  She said the lady, who had Alzheimer's, liked to feel useful, and to be doing something with her hands .  I don't think they were used by anyone, but she was happy and content with her daily quota of bandages.

I have a vision of Josh going from web sites, porn stars, and credit card payments to a true secret life of quick, anonymous, cash-only street encounters.

The "professional" counseling was probably added at the behest of PR people, who keep their finger on the pulse of criticism of the Duggars for sending Joshley to prayhab* instead of getting real treatment.  

Or, "professional" counseling may mean nouthetic (bliblical based) counseling - just an extension of prayhab.

Alternately (fingers crossed) some TLC executive called Jim Bob on the carpet and, screaming and ranting, pointed out that Joshly derailed the whole damn multi-million dollar gravy train and nobody wants another Joshley sexy scandal to drive the FINAL nail in the damn coffin, so FOR F**K's SAKE, get him some REAL help already!

So true!  Remember that both Derick and Ben were stalking the Duggars and wanted in on their fame.  Derick showed up (uninvited) at their house for Christmas caroling and then contacted Jim Bob for prayer (financial) support when he was in Nepal.  Ben showed up out-of-the-blue and uninvited at their house for Sunday morning homechurch (a 3 1/2 hour drive from where he lived in Hot Springs, AR).

That makes me wonder about all this courting talk.  Who in their right mind would want to court any of those kids?  Even with Jana, the guy would have to know what he is getting into.  He would be stuck for sure on that show, everything picked apart and criticized.  Ben and Derick seemed to know it and seem to love it, both are glad to be plastered all over instagram with their wives' selfies, but most normal mature people are not like that.  I wish we could really hear from Marjorie and see what she said.

The duggar men are doubly screwed. At least the women have something to offer: they are pretty, promise all the submission and sex, and have the reality show.  The manchildren are....not so great looking. And are featured less on the show, and will probably have to stretch themselves thin to support a large family. And they are asking for a lot from a wife: full submission, baby machine, homeschool all the kids, assuming they survive all the pregnancies and childbirth, all the cooking, cleaning and domestics.  It's going to be hard to find young women to fill that role for them.
