I have a feeling he'll be very, very thin. So thin that we look at him and feel sorry for him, because he's clearly been suffering.

The previous discussion about how Anna wants to repair their relationship.  There is still the missing factor, does Josh?  It's all speculation till he actually says (or doesn't say), Anna I want to come home and work it out with you guys. It's always been about her asking Jesus to be strong, walking through this and that, never about Josh doing his part, as if Anna can just do it all on her own.  She must really think it was all her fault in the first place.

I really wish someone would sit her down and tell her what so many women and girls need to be told (and I needed to be told): you are not his mommy, you are not his therapist, you cannot change him. Only he can change himself. And if he doesn't want to change or pull his weight in getting his shit together, it's time to cut your losses. He is not your problem and his problems are not your fault.

I don't think the beard-growing capabilities are strong with the Duggar boys.

For a family that posts every thought on social media - happy birthday from every sibling to every other sibling  I love you so much so glad you are out of rehab, etc etc - you'd think he'd actually have something to say.  Anna I missed you so much, I can't wait to get back home...  Anything at all. Such a wide open forum for him to try to get back in the good graces of the "audience."  So weird that there has not been one peep from him.

It was the "evil Internet" that got him into the joshgate 2.0 mess to begin with, maybe he's scared to death of doing anything online at this point. Or Boob & DQ will beat him with a spoon if he gets off his blanket and logs on.

I seem to remember that after the visit with him back in November (?) Anna said something about how it had been the best three days of her life and they had talked and prayed together. So she has received some sign from him that he is going to work at things. 

I don't believe it is as simple as "she thinks it is all her fault."  There is no question that everyone in her community thinks it is Josh who transgressed and Josh on whom the greatest blame lies.  However, their cult does make her jointly responsible.  She "should have known" that something was troubling him, that Satan was tempting him, etc.  She feels that she failed to help him overcome temptation.  The sins of cheating and porn are on him, but if she had been the perfect wife the power of her supportive influence might have kept him from sin.

She must be absolutely exhausted. Poor woman. She can't win - she must be alluring enough to keep him on the straight and narrow, but she must also be almost perpetually pregnant, and therefore tired by caring for a newborn, coping with pregnancy symptoms (nausea etc) and meanwhile run a home, provide meals, do laundry, homeschool older kids and look after preschoolers and toddlers.  This is beyond multitasking - it requires superhuman powers!

I would like to see Josh handle any three of the bolded. I foresee a giant fail.

Definitely by this fall. That's how it usually goes with Anna anyways, but I imagine they will try to have more sex as a way of "helping" Josh. Plus, now that she's near the TTH, I imagine Anna will get more help with the kids from her poor unmarried sisters-in-law. JB and Michelle will likely want to encourage Josh and Anna to go out on dates fairly regularly as a means of keeping Josh in line.

No, no, no. Their marriage is a trainwreck. They don't need another baby! They've got four. Do you guys think Josh will abstain from sex a little bit or just jump right into it with Anna? After everything the two have gone through, does Josh even really want another kid to feed?

I don't think Josh wants another child, but Jesus Rehab and his parents no doubt told him he should want more children, so I expect at least one more before he slips again. This isn't something I'm hoping for, but given the situation, it's what's likely to happen.
