Other more important parts of the trial aside (like, you know, the evidence), Gelfand isn't striking me as a particularly good speaker (or, I guess speech-writer, since we are missing the theatrical and oral parts of his statements). I know this was a valid and legal defense strategy, and necessarily week because Josh can't shut up, but so many parts of his speech strike me as flat...

I feel like there could have been way better spin or oratory than what Gelfand brought to the table.

The jury isn't taking that long. It was 12:15 when they started right? It is about 2:25 Arkansas time.

Didn’t they leave around lunchtime?  They probably ate before deliberating.  I don’t think we need to worry yet.

He is now in that rabbit hole.
