That reminds me of a girl a friend of mine dated way back in the 80s, when "Footloose" was popular.  She really thought the song "Dancing In The Sheets" was about people dressed as ghosts at a Halloween party.

I have cousins who thought Obama was the actual antichrist. The world was legitimately going to end with him as president. And what do you know- none of that happened and they still received their monthly disability checks and got to keep their guns and still hunt. Wow what a shocker. ? After seeing these anti-vaccine and conspiracy theory posts from Lawson I am 100% serious when asking this question:  Does anyone else think Lawson, as well as the rest of his family for that matter, are into QAnon?  

If you ever see "When we go one, we go all" on their social media-QAnon's battlecry-that would be the dead giveaway.

I don't think the Bates are QAnon. But I can see a Bates Boi or two playing footsie with white supremacists--all that is just a step away from the "Confederate Lost Cause" romantic bullshit they've grown up with anyway.

Just like they claim they aren’t “quiverfull” even though they follow those beliefs, I don’t think that the Bates would ever call themselves Qanon followers but they certainly dabble in the same rhetoric. 
 

Lawson fanboys over Qanon supporter Michael Flynn, thinks the “deep state” is a thing that exists, and believes the stuff about hunter bidens 400 laptops that keep showing up. It’s not a far jump to the rest of the Qanon stuff.

I know i'm preaching to the choir here but i have to rant.....this is what happens with fundie homeschooling.  No critical thinking skills at all....no "consider the source" etc.   Cant have critical thinking taught because god forbid the kids might apply that same skill to their religion.   As people have mentioned here before, that might be why the ones who participate in debate teams leave...they might be the only homeskool cohort who are taught that skill.

The lack of critical thinking really gets to me too. The amount of hogwash he retweets without any sort of reflection or inquiry is really concerning. 
 

This has lead me to do a bit of a look at his Twitter account. He only likes one post which is a total self own about not arguing with idiots. His follows are pretty typical republican MAGAt types but a few accounts stood out to me: he follows an account demanding the pardon of the founder of the Silk Road, the dark web site where people purchased drugs and child porn; Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Qanon follower elected to Congress; Qanon account @llinwood (not familiar but they have over 800k followers); the “kraken” Sidney Powell; black supremacist Tariq Nasheed; Hitler fan Madison Cawthorn; Bill Maher; a Darwin Awards account (but evolution isn’t real right Lawson); OJ Simpson; and several legit science and medical accounts.

There's some talk on fundie tumblr speculating that Lawson is getting to know Tiffany Epenson. Love me some relationship speculation and the fundie snark community found Nathan's gf and Justin Duggar's relationship way before they were announced. According to this tumblr post she's an actress who went to Liberty University, which honestly sounds perfect for Lawson. ?
