Ok maybe I just don’t understand and others might think this is normal but... Andrea’s hair being nailed to the bedroom wall in the Christmas night live is freaking me out a little

Further into the almost 4 hour late night chat someone asked Tom if he knew anything about narcissism. He said oh yes, him and Andrea had lots of experience with narcissists.  He said the thing with narcissists is they don’t realize they are narcissists. Um, pot, meet kettle. He said Andrea was obsessed with narcissists and they had run into several and he thought there were probably videos she made about them. 
He also said he and Andrea were invited to join Mensa. He said Andrea tested 2 points higher than him on her IQ test and she never let Him forget it. Tom Said people probably thought him arrogant but people that always knew they were right were  also the ones who question themselves the most. Someone commented that the only people who thought Tom was arrogant were trolls-guess that makes me a troll then. 
Tom also said as part of a response to someone’s question about what he dreams of for his family in the future is that he hopes he has a godly family. He said he wonders why when someone we love dies and goes into our past, that they become more valuable and wise -might have been a jerk wad but he was my great great grandfather so that made him special. Hmm. Know where my mind goes with that response.

Tom has started off tonight's live by saying he regrets announcing that he was looking for someone and telling people to message them, that he's not in the right headspace for that and once he started getting the messages it made him feel not good, that he needs to focus on being a dad and grieving. He flat out apologized for doing that. 

I'm not about to give him head pats for belatedly meeting what was a very basic level low bar but maybe he'll actually try that whole dad thing and give the kids some on one one attention and help them cope with this loss and new life.

Interesting. Time will tell if he’s sincere or just butthurt. Hopefully this is the beginning of some major positive changes.

I'm wondering if he found someone and he's just telling everyone to lay off, he seemed really chipper. You don't want flirting and people saying things if you have someone, may have been what happened with the last person he spoke to when he said he messed up and he doesn't want it to happen again.

Pretty sure you're spot on. He's super bubbly and happy again in his livestream he's doing right now. He posted on fb that he won't answer fb messenger messages anymore. I'm still floored over the insane amount of women who are throwing themselves at this man. Did anyone catch the livestream where he's beaming because some blind chick told him he looked like Michael Keaton?

I hope he is sincere but from what I’ve seen of how he’s been acting, I too wouldn’t be surprised if there’s someone and he just has to backtrack to make her happy.

I guess we all know someone who can't function without a nurturing partner. He seems like he can't be happy without feeling there is someone there to make him happy.  He doesn't feel whole unless he has someone. In one of his videos he said he has "traps" to make sure a woman is being genuine. He said he taught his boys the same thing.  I guess he means he has little tests they have to pass in order to prove they are serious. That's not always going to work, doesn't he know there are people who are very good at being just what you want and who know how to pass any test you throw at them because they have gotten good at fooling people?  Interesting to see what unfolds.

Do you guys think he comes here and reads our posts....SURELY he does!??!  I don't know if our posts had something to do with his change of mind or if it was a massive amount of facebook messages that were sent to him that was overwhelming.  He SHOULD be ashamed of himself - he literally said last night that he needs to be a DAD FIRST........Everyone on here has been saying that for weeks.  I am really, really thinking about asking him about Andrea's videos on 911 and Sandy Hook - I haven't seen them but it sounds like they were horrific.  I just wonder if he'll just block me and ignore it or if he will at least acknowledge it?  I think he needs to explain all that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I wish there was a way we could see those deleted videos.......UGH!

Maybe he needs to review those "traps" given the prime catch he caught the first time (Sandy Hook and Paris videos, medical neglect etc).  Seriously any potential partner who had traps set to make sure I was genuine would be eating my dust.  I've been happily partnered for the best part of two decades but if I ended up single again I'd have zero interest in playing games like that.

Wait, the fact that he has nine children who need homeschooling and care and all live in a tiny house in a tiny town, and the fact that he is a VERY recent widower isn't enough of a "trap" to discern whether someone is being genuine?

I just watched the first few minutes of his latest live stream and I feel like he was sincere in saying some of the comments/messages were making him feel not right and not like a good Christian man. I sort of wonder if the woman who asked to be intimate with him to relieve stress on the last live stream didn't finally open his eyes to how weird things were getting. And if people say that on the live stream, what kinds of filth was he getting privately? I also wonder if he wasn't getting messages from scammers and almost fell for one or more of them?

The Mensa comment makes me think of Candy Brauer (Eyes2Jesus) who often bragged about her IQ and Mensa membership. What is the common denominator with these kinds of people and why do they have to be so much smarter than the rest of us?  To make up for what they are lacking in traditional education?  Isn't bragging about anything antithetical to Christianity?  Happy New Year and New Decade, Everyone!

I have worked and socialised with a lot of intimidatingly intelligent and successful individuals over the years, and not once has IQ or Mensa come up.  I'm sure there are successful people involved but the likelihood of someone mentioning Mensa or bragging about their IQ seems to be inverse to their success in life (and I daresay their social intelligence, if not other types of actual intelligence too).  I don't care what kind of IQ you have, if you think butter cures or prevents cavities you're an idiot.

Does one gets to be invited for Mensa? I thought that it doesn't work that way, because you have to take tests (that are payed) and then pay a yearly fee to belong to/be a member of Mensa, it's not for free and for sure they don't come to people's houses by intuition to invite them to be members for free. It means that just to show off, they took and payed the tests.

The IQ of a person can be very subjective. In my opinion is the capacity of adaptation of the knowledge that you have to the many issues, problems, situations, projects, etc that might come up in your life. Some people might be good in some areas, some in others, it doesn't make them better than others. The capacity of grabbing what you know to solve problems and situations that are new, adapt, change, think… Some people cannot do that, so they get stuck in every new "event" in their lives... Others are the opposite...

Anyone over 18 can take the $40 test. Yearly membership dues are $70. I recall a rule that one was only allowed to take it once. No do-overs allowed. I took it years ago. The test took hours. It was BRUTAL and exhausting. It wasn't about facts or general knowledge. It was all a matter of figuring out problems, reasoning, logic etc. and I took it just for fun and to find out my I.Q. I don't keep up a membership at all. They have all kinds of groups and get-togethers for people with similar interests. I NEVER tell anyone I am in Mensa. ( Yes, I realize I just did )

Tom had the weekly Bible study last night. He said the kids had fun on New Year’s Eve at the hotel. He said the kids didn’t sleep well in the hotel. He said Hannah was keeping everyone up most of the night. Well mainly Asher he said. (Surprise-surprise). The younger kids were in bed when he started the Bible study and Hannah cried for about an half hour into the video. He finally got up to check on her. So of course he comes back to say he put her in the upper bunk with Eden to watch her. (God forbid he be a father and take care of her himself). The Bible study was pretty boring with a couple of ”trolls” trying to “bait” tom as he put it. It did get a little heated towards the end when they started talking about Baptism. From the sounds of it tom doesn’t believe in it. He didn’t offer up any more family info or just plain chat after it was over. He actually ended the video pretty quickly. He still seemed pretty “up” and “chipper”.  I still don’t think he decided to just focus on his family-I still believe there’s someone he’s smitten with. Wether it’s the same woman he was talking to before or a new one, I don’t know. I wouldn’t be surprised if he either doesn’t spend as much time on YouTube just chatting or we get an announcement fairly soon of a new relationship. (JMO) Super fan was front and center again.

I can't figure out what kind of women would be chasing a man 4 months after his wife died?  Unless they are after part of the go fund me pie which I would guess would be a quick marriage and divorce..  He better have them sign a pre-nup...he'd lose half his house too!

Not to change the subject, but the New York Times just ran an article criticizing Scamaritan and other plans for not paying for care. Any news about Andrea’s hospital bills? It might be a good idea for Tom to stop spending so much money until it’s figured out...

He’s never come right out and said he doesn’t believe in it, because he said it makes people angry when he tells them his thoughts on it, so he doesn’t like to discuss it. Yet at the same time he said he doesn’t really like to not talk about it because he feels so strongly about it. He said if you read what the Bible really says about it, no where does it state that Baptism  means what we think it means. He gave an example from the Bible where he says it explains Baptism as “washing” and of things more then people. I can’t remember which part of the Bible it was that he said it was from. Basically he said people take what Baptism means out of context. It doesn’t mean what we think it means. So it sounds like he doesn’t believe in it and doesn’t want to Talk about it because it will make people angry. He said if he talked about how he really felt about baptism he would probably lose a lot of viewers. Quite a few people disagreed with him but he never answered their question or thoughts on it. (Of course if you disagree with him concerning anything he thinks the Bible says, he either ignores you or tells you your way of thinking if wrong). If you want to see what he says about it, it’s towards the very end of the last Bible study. I’d say the last 10-15 minutes or so. I’m not very good at explaining it. 

Tom had a live chat last night. Started out talking about Thomas’ birthday which is today. He turns 18. Then he talked about Eden getting 4 swimsuits in the mail to wear New Year’s Eve at the hotel they go to every year. He said a woman his mom knows came over to make jewelry with the girls. He talked about New Year’s Eve and what they did at the hotel for fun. As always he was complaining about not having enough time to do everything he needs to do while sitting in his chair while doing nothing but talking to strangers on the internet. He was talking about fried foods with people, and someone asked if he had an air fryer. He said no but he should really get one. (Wanna bet someone sends him one-or maybe he ends up with more than one? It always comes across like he’s subtly begging for things when he says stuff like that.)Someone asked if he had in instant pot and he said unless it was a crock pot he didn’t know what that was. ( yep, he will end up gifted one of those too I’m sure). He said he cleaned out Andreas office. A lot of what he found made him cry. He showed Andreas chore box. (Before I forget to mention it, in the last live when he said he was putting off looking for someone and concentrating on his kids, someone asked how Andreas family felt about him looking for someone. He said there were some of her family members who weren’t very happy with him when he told them he was talking with someone. I’m sure they weren’t ok with it. I don’t know that I would be either if it was my family.) He said in this video he found a certificate of Andreas where she took a midwifery course. He said a part of him wanted to throw most of the stuff he found in her office out, but another part knew he should probably keep it for the girls. He said everyone pitches in to help around the house. Justus gave the little girls their bath and Asher changes diapers( IMO that is not something Justus or Asher should be doing-especially the baths. That is something Tom should be doing). Someone asked Tom if the last trip they took was when he first noticed Andrea struggling with her health, and he said no, she had always had back pain, but he she did have bowel issues going on then. He said he thinks her back pain may have been liver related at that point. Someone asked if Thomas was considering college and he said no he was staunchly against it at this point and he(Tom) would do whatever he could to support him in whatever decision he made. Someone said they thought the older kids were taking better care of the younger kids than Tom was. Someone else asked if he was afraid Thomas would be drafted. He ignored those questions but his viewers didn’t. They got snippy as usual. Someone else asked if he still played the Bible throughout the house and he said yes and he thought it was the greatest single Decision he had made for his family ever. He said it had made his children godly people and him a godly man. (Later in the video he said he was going to make a video on how to make your own audio Bible). Someone named Amelia said something that caused his viewers to say she was a troll and she was a sicko but it was deleted so I couldn’t see what she said. Tom said he was sorry for the trolls. They were always there and they were just lame. ( another random thought I just had unrelated to this video is we never see the other women who used to be mods on the lives anymore, or the one woman named Mrs.Kim who used to send the kids a lot of stuff). He said he hasn’t visited Andreas Grave site yet and he needs to get a headstone.  He said it’s not really his thing to go to cemeteries but maybe later down the road it will be. He said every time him and the kids go by the cemetery they mention that it looks like there is something wooden built around where Andrea is buried so he needs to go check it out. He doesn’t know  what it could be or if it’s actually where she is. He said he knows she isn’t there and he doesn’t want to go but he knows some of the kids might like to go. He said he takes walks at night and he has actually thought about walking to the cemetery but waking in a cemetery at night is just creepy. He said he’s been taking lots of walks and getting his exercise that way plus it gives him time to think and clear his head. He also talked about the dishwasher being broken and needing to think about getting a new one. Someone asked if they believe in going to the dentist yearly and one of his viewers told her to mind her own business. The question asker said she was just curious as she knew Andrea didn’t believe in western medicine so the responder should be nicer as she was asking because she was genuinely curious what Tom thought. (He ignored that question too). Someone asked how the bunnies were doing. Tom said one died. The other freaks out when anyone goes near it so he’s been trying to get it used to being touched and held. He said they rescued them from someone who was raising them as meat bunnies. Someone asked what memories of Andrea bring him comfort and he said none do. They are all too painful and make him sad. Someone said they noticed he had humbled himself more on the lives and that was good. ( he ignored that too). He said Hannah got in the shallow kid pool at the hotel on New Year’s Eve and she had fun. (Of course Asher was the one to take care of her). He said Hannah was their smartest baby at this age and Andrea chalked it up to the fact that she was in the womb 10 months. (Smh). Someone asked about mrs reeves and he said she comes on Sunday’s and does the girls hair and does any housework she sees that needs to be done. Everyone kept saying he should do something special for Thomas’ birthday as it’s his 18th. Tom said they will probably Go to subway as that’s Thomas’ favorite. He answered a few questions and then said he should end the video at one hour. He said he enjoys doing the lives. They are fun for him and easier to do then taking videos and editing. Someone kept asking him to pray for Australia because of the catastrophic fires but he ignored it every time it came up. And they posted it quite a few times. He ended the live very abruptly. Said if anyone wanted to join in the Bible study it would be Wednesday, answered one random question and then was gone.

Sitting through one of Tom's endless rambling sessions, (I couldn't tell you which one), Tom did mention that he had been reimbursed for all of Andrea's hospital bills.  He had prepaid them using the GoFundMe in order to get a discount.

Based on the recap it sounds like nothing’s  changed. Still the same Tom. Disappointing but not surprising. And yes, I agree with you, @Mom2Bubby that he’s got an airfryer and an instapot coming his way. Won’t surprise me if someone even buys him a new dishwasher.
