Anxiety.  Between nuclear war, car accidents, earthquakes, gas leaks, home invasions, shower accidents, bear attacks, avalanches, freak accidents, and pandemics, I now learned that "fast moving cancers" can kill someone in days. Wtf. And now her kids are stuck with a "dad" who was unimpressive before and now seems negligent. 

I will try to fill in some of the blanks for you, although I haven’t followed this family as closely as some of the others on FJ so I hope other members will also chime in. 
 

FJ followed the Mills family before Andrea’s death, but only had a few threads about them. Andrea expressed some truly vile beliefs/conspiracy theories in videos that were removed by YouTube so we’re left mostly with her videos about raising a large family and organizing a small home. I never watched the videos that were removed but from what I’ve heard about them, I’m glad I didn’t. 
 

The way I understand it, Andrea was big on herbs and oils. I believe she had some gastrointestinal symptoms for a while but did not see a doctor for them. Their family believes in home church, home school, and home birth and I don’t think anyone in the family regularly sees a doctor or dentist. Andrea had a YouTube video where she explained how she did her own prenatal checks which she thought was perfectly fine. She was pregnant again and felt so poorly she finally went to the doctor which is when the cancer was diagnosed. She died not long after.

I created the first thread on this family. I found them on my recommended videos on youtube. I follow some other big families there so thats probably why yt recommended it to me. After watching a few videos i noticed they were very religious but still wasnt sure if they were fundie or not. It was after watching a video on how they constantly had the bible playing in the house at all times in a DIY radio system that i decided they were definitely nut-jobs enought to post about them on freejinger.

As anyone noticed at the last shopping video, when the kid (Asher I think) was all excited around the "Smart water", Tom came and said something like "Smart water flavoured, that communistic!!!" WTF And the he grabs one "Smart water" from the bottom shelf… I don't understand why he said that… is he so afraid of Communism? Has he never read anything about Socialism and Communism? I was laughing at that...

Tom just premiered a shopping trip from last July. He went by himself as Andrea was too weak to go. He did show her on FaceTime for a minute but because he had his ear phone in you couldn’t hear her voice. He did the shopping by himself(and seemed very capable unlike he has claimed to be recently). It was pretty much the shopping trip at Walmart and the ride home and that was it. Video Only lasted 20 minutes or so. He did manage to leave in a part of the talk radio(Rush) He was listening to on the way home and laughed that he would probably get comments about that. (Said, oops, left that part in—he could have just as easily edited it out but he didn’t). Probably to get a rise out of people. Pretty short video overall. Andrea did look different from what we could see of her on FaceTime.(no glasses or make up).  She must have asked him to not show her face because he said she was beautiful but he would call her back on his phone without FaceTime. 
Right after he premiered the video he posted it again. He said that the first one had a glitch that was causing people stress, but people were commenting on how someone was offended by something in the video and that’s why he posted it again. No idea what was going on. One person commented how she thought the food he was buying was so much processed, sugary, not healthy food and of course everyone jumped on her for saying that. She said she just said what she was sure everyone else was thinking but afraid to say.

I speak modern Greek!  I haven't been able to get myself to watch any Mills videos since Andrea passed, but Tom's Greek always made me cringe.  

There's a difference between Biblical Greek and modern Greek, but you can get the general gist of Biblical Greek if you speak modern Greek.

Kind of!  It's definitely different and older, but the main ideas are understandable.  Granted, I'm not the greatest Greek speaker on the planet, but I can usually listen to/read it and think, "oh yeah this is the one where the demons get cast into the swine".

I was watching old live dinner videos(I know, I have no life-lol), and even back when Andrea was alive and part of the live dinners, some of these same women were flirting with Tom then. I couldn’t believe how flirty some of them were being right with Andrea there. SMH.

Has anyone noticed that every time that the GFM money slows down, Tom posts another video with Andrea to shake up people's feelings and start donating more again?!?  I've been analysing that and it always works. After he posts an older video with Andrea, people start giving again in big quantities. He learned the way to get more cash.

Doesn’t surprise me. He has no intention of supporting his own kids. 

And he’s already shown his true colors. He’s out for the money & the women stalking/fangirling/flirting. He’s disgusting.

He makes sure it's heart wrenching. I'm surprised no one has reported his GFM because the wording there is so dishonest. It still says that his wife has Cancer and they need help and that they make NOTHING from their You Tube channel. 

He writes: 

"Me (Tom Mills) and my wife Andrea have 9 children and one on the way. We home school, home church, home business and home birth. She recently felt bad and went to the doctor, and long story short it ended up being cancer, even though she is only 41 years old. They found cancerous cells on her liver and gallbladder, but as of now we still do not know where it is coming from.  The complications of pregnancy make it all the more concerning.

The costs while high SHOULD all be taken care of, so we don't really need anything. We make nothing from our YouTube channel, and our only goal is to help other people by sharing the experiences from our own  lives, we have never wanted to profit from such things.

Our only real monetary concern is since I am with her, and we support our family with our home business there is no income at the moment and bills will need paid eventually. In addition we are not sure of future cancer costs and how much that could entail. But I am sure we will manage either way."

 

Future cancer costs? Not making money off of You Tube? He is with her? This all makes it sound like it's still going on, that she is sick in a hospital and he's left to care for them. She passed away in August!

I just took a look at the go fund me page.  While I agree, it's miss leading, and he should change it, but he does have 6 updates on the page, which of course he has mentioned her death and further updates.  I do not know how these go fund me pages work, when you put them up.  Are you allowed to change the initial posting?  Or, can you only do updates?   Not agreeing with what he's doing, just pointing out there are updates and I really would like to know if you can change the initial posting.  That would certainly reveal his motives, if he's allowed to alter it and choosing not to do that.

Many years ago, I worked with an annoying  individual who believed she never made mistakes because "I'm a member of Mensa and that shouldn't happen". Yes, she really said that, often. Never mind that we were all graduates in a very competitive field. To shut her up, a bunch of us took the tests. Several of us passed. We didn't join Mensa, but we brought our results letters to work. Next time the idiot bragged, out came the letters. Priceless!

Fast forward to today. My cognitive impairment diagnosis stems from cancer, and I hate it like I hate the disease. Like you, I'm able to recognise that there are holes in my mind. I don't remember where the gaps are, so I rediscover them every time. I can join a conversation knowing I have an interesting contribution to make and suddenly,... nothing. It's soul destroying. 

I wish you all the best in dealing with your condition. You sound like a brave and determined lady.

The worst part is it wasn’t even just “bad pronunciation”, he was saying entirely wrong endings out loud from what was shown, like saying -os instead of -ou, for example, or just different words ??‍♀️ I’m sure he feels confident that no one else watching would be as smart as him to know Greek ?

Thank you!  I did read that, initially, but I was a little confused when they used the word 'update', but I see now, that's specifically for the original posting.  Has anybody challenged him on this?  I think people have asked him about why he keeps the go fund me page up, but I wonder if anyone has asked about why he hasn't altered/updated the initial campaign.  It certainly looks like he is being deceptive.

Tom had a live package opening last night. Asher was getting Hannah ready for bed as Tom said she was tired and grouchy. Judah was there but off screen as he had just woken up from a nap. 

They received a box from mountain rose herbs which is the company Andrea used to get all of her herbs from. The company sent a letter saying they had heard about Andrea and they wanted to send the package of herb related Items in her memory. Tom read the letter out loud and cried as he read it. He said he wasn’t sure how they would have known Andrea passed but he thought it was very thoughtful of them. 

Claudia and Sophia were pretty hyper tonight. It does sound like Sophia is getting easier to understand when she speaks. A huge improvement in her speech actually. 

Someone sent three real tea sets. One for the smaller girls, one for Edens age and one for the family. They also got a Mills family jenga ornament edition. It was homemade ornaments someone made them. Someone else sent a snowman kit. 

Justus seemed either very sad or very grouchy tonight. As a matter of fact all of the older boys seemed kind of distant tonight. No joking around and not one word verbally from Asher or Judah and hardly any response From Justus. 

Tom said they went to the park during the day and the kids used their snowball makers that someone had sent them. 

Tom said he would do more random lives soon when he had more time to talk. His viewers were telling him he should come back on after the package opening to do a live but he didn’t respond and he didn’t do a live after. 

Someone said they felt bad the boys didn’t seem to get as many gifts as the girls and that everyone should send the boys more things. Someone else said that the family should Start an amazon wish list so people could buy from there for them. Another viewer asked if the boys play steam games and if so what kind and Judah responded they play lots Of steam games but only the appropriate ones. 

The video was 27 minutes long. Super fan was front and center and I don’t think there were as many people as usual viewing. Can’t be sure though. Something just seemed off to me tonight. The boys were much more somber while tom was way more chipper. I still think he’s off line more because of an interest in someone rather than because he’s taking care of his kids like he should have been from the beginning. I hope I’m wrong though.

About the older boys being serious and extremely quiet, I have a strange feeling that Tom might have had a talk with them about someone or introduced someone, and that might have shocked the boys for some reason, maybe a very young person that could actually be his daughter… Well, well, that is just me with my wild imagination and 6th sense. But something must have happened the day before the video...

Yes, he is definitely strategically using Andrea videos for money. I swear he's said many times that he only had a couple more videos with her. Then he magically finds more. Did anyone catch that during the last shop with me where Andrea had to facetime because she was too sick to shop, Tom says she's going to the chiropractor because of how sick she is feeling..not the doctor..the chiropractor.  It's really sad how long she allowed herself to go without ever seeking real help. 

In the latest viewer mail opening, we see first hand why sending kids a constant stream of packages is maybe not the best for them (who'd of thought?). They bicker who gets to open what. Almost nothing is for the boys, leaving them quiet and somber. Any thank yous are forced through Tom. Tom comments that maybe he doesn't like what this is doing to them. No shit sherlock.  Maybe he can use some of his Mensa powers to realize that exploiting his kids grief and constantly  grifting on youtube isnt good for anyone.  I'm sure I'm wrong though. No one here is as smart as Tom ?

He mentioned that Andrea had a neck ache and maybe strep throat.  So they were going to the chiropractor for that.  Because of course chiropractors can heal strep throat!

One of the tea sets the sender said Eden will need to help, Eden's face, poor girl must be so fed up with having to be responsible for the younger girls  

Something definitely seemed off with the boys (and also Eden), even Solly was way more quiet than he usually would be on a live! Didn't help that most of the gifts were for the girls though and Sophia and Claudia now seem to be very expectant and less grateful for gifts.

I keep wondering where they are putting all this stuff? What kids need THREE tea sets, I get that they were for different ages but still, just pick the middle one and send that or just send the metal one!

I'm quite worried about Justus (well all of them really), he gets ignored even more than Eden does which is saying something, he seems to be struggling lately

Watched the gift opening. I feel like the gifts aren't appreciated anymore. Everyone just stop sending them. They get tossed aside or donated.  The kids looked miserable tonight, at least they got out of that house and played at the park. Tom did seem energetic tonight as well as Claudia and Sophia. I agree there was something off in that house. I  don't know what it is but it just felt bad. If he must you tube just do the boring live chats let the fangirls can swoon and creepy Rachel Day can take center stage.
