I'd guess families dressed in the same color, name tags, and a tent.  Don't know what they'll do about gifts...maybe a monthly birthday party for all who are willing/able to attend?

My guess is JB will build an event building on the property. No way 200 and counting Duggars will fit in TTH.

I really worry about Joy and Austin's kids. Out of all the non-Josh Duggars, their family worries the most. Joy doesn't seem that interested in kids, but there's no way she or Austin will prevent. Their marriage already seems strained. She's most primed for a breakdown IMO, and the victims of that will be the kids.

I disagree. Joy seemed to be a really sweet mom to Gideon, she looks happy as a mom. Plus she also said that she really wanted to be pregnant again on the last season finally so she clearly is interested in kids.

As for their marriage, I don’t think we can tell much from what we see

I agree. I feel like this sentiment has gotten worse since we are constantly striving for self improvement. To a degree when it just isn’t healthy anymore. Eat healthy (cooking from scrap and organic), activity at least five times a week, have a cleaning routine and a tidy house/flat (brownie points for Marie Kondoing), do charity, be social, have a great love story (lots of romance, fun, sex, deep talks), the list is endless. If you think adults have it all together you set yourself up for failure. Not everyone is super tidy or very organised or has deep thoughts. We all need to have a hard look at what is worth to change and what might be part of who we are.

Thank you. I really needed to hear this today.

Guessing a girl for J&A

Color me shocked. Joy got pregnant her first month of marriage and then it looks like she got pregnant the first cycle after waiting a year after c-section for Gideon. If she vbacs with this one, she might come for Kendra's current position (in my mind) as front runner for most babies.

also, booooooo!

Wait. I thought one was supposed to wait 18 months after C-section? Isn't that what Jill did?

And dumb question cause I don't know anything from experience: if she has a VBAC is she pretty much low risk and cleared to have VBACs from then on?

Surprise, surprise, haha. I have to admit, I am actually interested in the birthing decisions Joy makes. Whether she has a planned repeat c section (doubt it) or a planned vbac in a hospital (also doubt it), I hope she's safe and empowered in her decision making.

What's this mean? You're guessing she's planning to attempt a homebirth again?

I am going to guess another boy, because it's always better, if for no other reason than to minimize damage to future sister moms.

If you look at the statistics of VBAC success rates - women who wait less than 12 months have very low odds. Women who wait 18-24 months are ideal. More than 3 years and the odds start to decrease again.

If she has a brain, she'll have already had her glucose tolerance test done.

18 months is a recommended time but plenty of people don’t follow that advice. Personally, I don’t think waiting guarantees anything. For instance. Alyssa Campana Morton had a vbac 12 Months after her c-section. Jill waited the recommended time and didn’t get a Vbac. It really just depends on how your body heals and on the circumstances of your pregnancy and labor.

As for Joy being cleared, it also depends on how her subsequent pregnancies progress. Michelle had several vbacs after her c-section with Jana and John but then had to get one with Jackson, had a couple of more vbacs and ended back in the OR with Jordyn

also: note how Michelle never waited 18 months after her c-sections and still managed a whole lot of vbacs

The statistics are wildly different for women with a proven birth canal like Michelle (i.e. she had a vaginal delivery prior to her section, whereas Joy and Jill have not).

Very true, but Alyssa Morton is proof that anything can happen ??‍♀️

I think in 10 years it'll just be a once or twice a year family reunion type get together. Especially considering Mackynzie will be around 20 by that time, and if she stays in line might have a kid or two of her own by then!

Ugh you are right. I hadn't thought that far ahead, but there will be great-grand-Duggars while there are still tons of baby grand-Duggars and counting.

Oh the humanity!! ?????

Michele’s first birth was a vag delivery. She has a “proven” (medical term), not  a judgmental term, birth canal. Until they have a successful vag delivery, you can not compare Joy or Jill to Michelle-

I honestly think this is grandchild #15. I think that Joy and Anna are due within days of each other and that Joy has an earlier due date, hence why M6 is #16.

You know what's scary about all this? There's still time for Lauren, Abbie, Jill, and Jinger to announce a pregnancy and be due before 2019 is over. That would be literally every married couple!

I agree, especially based on the looks of the ultrasound picture Joy is holding. I'd say she's due in the first days of November.

But oh, how I would love to see a Duggar baby born on Halloween.

When I had my son (csection) my midwife told me 12 month minimum but 18 months was more ideal. It went in one ear and out the other though because I had no desire to go through that again and eight years later I still don't, perhaps the recommended time is a bit different now.

Whenever they announce a pregnancy I'm neither shocked or particularly happy (no matter the couple). I don't think Joy and Austin are notably better or worse than their siblings. At least he has a job, I guess?

The amount of future Duggars is terrifying. This train will have to derail quickly and horrifically to slow their amount of procreating anytime soon. Even if they drop from the radar tomorrow at this point they're pretty much guaranteed a Where Are They Now check-in special in a few years just because the amount of new babies will be astounding. Group picture coming soon! We still have Abbie and Lauren as being highly likely to announce in the near future plus Jill shouldn't be forgotten. Heck, even Jinger is a small possibility. 101 Dal..er, Duggars.

Easy money from the Tv show, that they claim not to watch, allows them to keep pumping them out. Best decision Dillard made was getting his family removed from the easy money. I do applaud the fact that Derick has found something to do other than procreate.

How do these people plan on surviving once the show is gone? Working for a living is going to be a rude awakening for many of these families. The level of brain washing saddens me.

To be fair, Joy and Austin will probably be one of the couples who can provide for a family even without the TLC money train. He's flipping houses for a living, and Joy seems to enjoy working with him when she can. I think they would do fine without the show. I'm more worried about some other couples when it comes to providing. Josh&Anna? Ben&Jessa? Not much money coming in there, as far as we know.

Oh goody. Another spawning to add to my mnemonic. I swear to god, I’m going to need start making this into seperate sentences soon. :pb_rollseyes:

My Mother Made Internet Memes Starring Henry Seewald Making Glittery Green Frogs Singing Drunk Malarkey Fiercely

(Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Israel, Meredith, Spurgeon, Henry, Samuel, Mason, Gideon, Garrett, Felicity, Baby Seewald, Baby Duggar, M6, Forsyth the Second)

Another innocent baby born into a cult. Oh joy. Not at all shocked by this as these two seem to be positively marinating in the Kool-Aid. If Joy announced right at 12 weeks then that would put her around 10 days ahead of me, giving them a due date of November 12th.

@Silas From what I was told by a Reproductive Specialist last year, the current recommendation is that at least 18 months between birth and conception is ideal for c-section patients. Patients who had a vaginal birth are told 12 months. That recommendation will obviously depend on the patient’s unique history and the Doctor, as well as whether they really want to try for a VBAC or not. So it likely would have been ideal if they had waited to conceive until August at the earliest. Hopefully the presence of a sonogram indicates they’re seeing a legitimate Doctor this time, but I won’t hold my breath on that because Duggars gonna Duggar.

Joy is pregnant? What a surprise

I hope the pregnancy goes well for her. I hope she actually gets proper care, but who knows.

I see this all over pickles page, and I don't get it.  Joy & Austin seem to be very well suited with each other and she looks very relaxed with G, as does he.  I don't understand the "fear of Austin & his horrid family" all these families are horrid, what makes the Forsyth's so extra over the top awful compared to any of the others, who all think the exact same things?

This would actually be quite a smart move. They rent out part of their land/property already. If they build an event hall, do as much DIY like TTH and have Jana and jessa decorate/landscape around it... They'll have a place free they can have receptions and reunions in etc, and they can probably rent it out to get a bit of money back. I imagine a lot of their fans would be thrilled by that. They'd probably cover it on counting on or give Jana her 'Jana of all trades' series for it, so money from that, too. Thoughts?

What would be newsworthy in Duggarland would be if any Duggar stated publicly that he/she have decided to not have any children.

He was the least interested in pretending to put up with the cameras, and can't fake a smile when he isn't feeling it.  Whether that makes him just more introverted than all of the others or more controlling than all of the others is up for anyone's guess.  I'm going with introverted for the most part, although he gets minus points for taking his super pregnant wife "ice fishing" on a nasty pond as a baby moon in my opinion.
