Lori Alexander 57: The Wisdom and the Folly

Recommended Posts

Lori mentions pastors using illustrations of people they know...just because a pastor does it doesn't mean it's always a good thing to do. I personally think that pastors should get into the habit of asking permission before using people as sermon illustrations. I've seen pastors use their children and wives as illustrations and somehow I doubt they asked permission. Actually the ex-pastor who read an entire letter about the "wrong" my family had done (all delusions and paranoia on his part) in front of the entire congregation also shamed his son in front of the entire church because his son didn't follow along with a scripture reading of some sort and say it out loud. #pastorscangossiptoo

On all this health stuff she's posted and shared, I'm beginning to think she's allergic to scientific research....maybe it's a gut issue causing like they supposedly cause everything else?

That's the REAL Lori Alexander.

If I hadn't been banned for getting on two years now, I would have probably got banned on this one because I would've commented that she finally told the truth about something on the page.

She is just pure hateful.  I can't even imagine what a day in her life must be like.

Where is she posting this reply to Morgan with all the ugliness about health insurance being a privilege, etc.?

@ladyicantxplain, it's in today's post titled 'Warnings Against The Feminization of America.' It's a repeat of one of last week's posts, because Lori wanted to say 'I told you so.' :pb_rollseyes:

This, from the woman who openly admitted she'd happily go on government assistance before she left her home and got a job.

I guess hand outs are okay, as long as they are going to Princess Lori.

I don't see that western european countries, Canada, Australia, etc. are failed. A little excurse for dear Lori in the history of govermental social security. It was founded nationwide in 1883 with healthcare by chancelor Otto von Bismarck in germany and that guy was many things, but not a socialist, in fact he despised them. He did that to weaken the workers movement, after their political party was forbidden, but didn't worked as intended. But it didn't stop them, in 1884 came the workplace accident insurance, wich the employer had to pay allone, any other insurance was 50/50 paid by employer and employee. In 1889 came the retirement insurance, in 1911 the groups allowed where broaden to beyond manual workers  and in 1927 came the unemployment insurance. And by providing things like social security, the government protects it's citizen. For this, I pay my round about 400 € per month in taxes and social security. That way I don't need black salve and other woo to threat myself, because I can't afford a doctor. Or that loosing my job isn't the end of the world, because I fall into the social net and don't loose everything.

if the Loriettes get something free, it’s a “blessing” not government assistance. It’s all semantics.

She quotes scripture that if you don’t work you don’t eat. Nothing is free — people should work to support themselves. Go get jobs people — it’s not my (Lori and the other good “Christians”) jobs to take care of you.  Oh but if you are a woman and have eleventy kids -  you can’t work — that’s a sin!  So I guess you all just have to starve and have no good healthcare.  Oops. Too bad for you!

Lori: what about the verses in scripture about “to whom much is given, much is expected”? Hmm!?! I don’t think the next line was keep it all to yourself, the hell with everyone else. That woman talks in circles so much it makes me dizzy. When I think she can’t get any worse, she proves me wrong.

So the government "blessed" me with surgery last year, and "blesses" me with regular visits to my GP, and my employer "blesses" me by paying most of the cost of my medications?  Am I doing this right?

Here I thought I was reaping the benefits of paying my taxes and union dues, and that my government and drug insurer were upholding their end of what my country considers our social (or legal, in the case of the insurance company) contract.

Well maybe if rich people like Lori would take helping the poor and needy seriously the government wouldn't have to put so much money into it.

Nah, that would be something useful, and way too much work for people like Lori.

Among other things in today's bucket o' crap Lori says 'If a woman believes she is “dying inside” and blames it on her husband, she has made her husband an idol...'  Can't have that. Making idols out of husbands is Lori's job.

Lori yesterday when someone suggested she perhaps needed a college education to understand a concept:

The Transformed Wife:   "I am college educated. I have a teaching credential. I received it back in the day when college was affordable and people didn't come out with huge amounts of debt.

Also Lori: (from previous blog posts and comments)

“Back when I was in college, I admitted I was there for only one reason – for an MRS. degree! I had NO desire for a career.”

“College sure didn’t help me to grow in wisdom”

I liked college, mostly for these friends I made. I didn't like studying things I didn't enjoy, like many of the requirements..”

“To tell you the truth, I can’t remember anything that I learned in college. I didn’t like any of my classes. I can’t remember any of my professors.”

No, Lori, you are not college educated. You attended college, but by your own admission, apathy, and laziness there was no education happening.

Yes, Lori, love is a choice some days. Absolutely. No marriage is perfect.

That being said, sometimes discontent moves us towards better things. When you get tired of something and how much it sucks, you are motivated to make it better. Shouldn't this apply to marriage too?

It sure did in mine at least. I was unhappy, I was a GROWN UP and had conversations with my husband and some honest self-reflection and things got better.

(Please keep in mind, I'm not speaking about abuse or affairs or anything like that. I'm speaking about the daily frustrations and challenges that ANY marriage has.)

When I commented about "blessings" I was thinking of the ilks of Jill Rodrigues and her deadbeat tag-a-long husband who have never really worked a day since they decided to go into their "ministry."  They get stuff free, then call it a "blessing" instead of what it really is, mooching off others.  Lori tells women stay at home and make babies, and God will provide.  God also expects us to use our common sense, which that bubble head has none of that I can see.

Lori speaks with a forked tongue.  I was trying to explain Lori to my cousin, and she said, remember that in the last days, there will be deceivers, and that's how I see Lori -- a great deceiver who is leading women into destruction, where they don't know the Gospel of Christ, but a form of godliness by works alone and self-righteous, judgmental behavior.

Lori makes her displeasure known in the chatroom too. Her picture should be under the word contentious in the dictionary. She tells her followers all the time that to be feminine a woman should let others have the last word and that God cares more about us being kind than right.

She put the chatroom on notice recently that there should be no more differing opinions. You know, like a good teacher does!

"No, I am not saying I am always right and know all things." Yes, Lori, Yes, yes you do say that. All. The. Time.

She turned that 'meek and quiet' bit into this afternoon's doodle. "You don't need a platform. You don't need anyone to know your name... . You don't need the attention of a million followers..."

Well, unless you're Lori. Then it becomes really, really important to go viral.

I apologize in advance for the length of this post.

Because I was banned from Lori's page when I pointed out that doctors are disciplined for recommending Ultrasounds instead of mammograms in detection of breast cancer, and I know they read here, I'd like to share the following verses pertaining to how we treat others.  Some of these include how we treat the poor, sick, orphaned, widowed, and yes, migrants!)  Some of us who read the Bible take pause when voting and cannot bear to vote for "Republicans" because we take seriously God's Word.  People who ignore social justice issues must not love God and His ways because they ignore the following <sarcasm> - (see what I did there, Lori?)

Old Testament passages:

Quote

"Do not take advantage of a widow or an orphan." Exodus 22:22

"Do not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits." Exodus 23:6

"During the seventh year, let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may eat what they leave. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove." Exodus 23:11

"Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God." Leviticus 19:10

"Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly." Leviticus 19:15

"When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God." Leviticus 23:22

"If one of your countrymen becomes poor and sells some of his property, his nearest relative is to come and redeem what his countryman has sold. . . . If one of your countrymen becomes poor and is unable to support himself among you, help him as you would an alien or a temporary resident, so he can continue to live among you. . . . If one of your countrymen becomes poor among you and sells himself to you, do not make him work as a slave." Leviticus 25:25, 35, 39

"If an alien or a temporary resident among you becomes rich and one of your countrymen becomes poor and sells himself to the alien living among you or to a member of the alien's clan, he retains the right of redemption." Leviticus 25:47-48

"He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing." Deuteronomy 10:18

"At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year's produce and store it in your towns, so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the aliens, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied." Deuteronomy 14:28-29

"However, there should be no poor among you, for in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you." Deuteronomy 15:4

"Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near, so that you do not show ill will toward your needy brother and give him nothing. He may then appeal to the LORD against you, and you will be found guilty of sin." Deuteronomy 15:9

"There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land." Deuteronomy 15:11

"Do not deprive the alien or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge." Deuteronomy 24:17

"When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. When you beat the olives from your trees, do not go over the branches a second time. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow. When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow." Deuteronomy 24:19-21

"The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright." Psalm 37:14

If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, 'Here's a good seat for you,' but say to the poor man, 'You stand there' or 'Sit on the floor by my feet,' have you not discriminated among yourselves and becomes judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom He promised those who love Him? But you have insulted the poor. Unless someone has evidence to the contrary I'm calling bullshit on Lori's claims.  Would she allow anyone to remain in her hallowed sanctuary who dares to disagree with her?  We've all seen how fast her delete finger flies on her FB page, would she do any less on her more secluded territory?  At the first dissenting comment she'd be tossing them out.

Well, well, well...will you look at that!   Lori can't control the ALCR any  more than she can control the blog.  That's hilarious.

She has in the past allowed a certain admin to disagree with her about certain limited topics, including vaccinations, health foods, health remedies and the like.  This admin has a degree in Biology and is a young woman with young children. (It became kind of a joke between them that they would "never agree" on certain things).

Back in the day when I was there in ALCR, she tolerated a bit of disagreement from me, but not when I pushed it and wouldn't bow to her.  She would increase in argumentativeness until I either left the conversation, or somehow placated her.  The day I stopped doing that and called her on her bullshit, is the day I left for good.

I understand the need to have order in a group, and likemindedness.  But there is a WAY to do this that is not hateful and bullying.  There is a way to do this in love and by the Spirit of God.  This is NOT the way it has been done in the chat room.  It has been a place where women have been banned and shunned, Old Testament style, if they have crossed the line with Lori.  I know because they have messaged me after they've been shunned.

Anyway, I am probably rambling at this point, but the atmosphere of the chat room is one of "comply out of fear or leave"...which is religion, not relationship(s).

That's right. According to Lori you can't work if you're a woman, that's why you have to shop for your man carefully. Make sure he's college educated and is capable of getting a good job so you don't have to sin by working outside your home. If you and your children are hungry or in need of medical care well that's just too bad, you should have chosen a better man like Lori did. If you dare complain you're throwing a temper tantrum, or you're discontent, or you're trying to usurp your headship's authority, or you're rejecting your god given role, or...(insert Lori-ism here).

Among other things in today's bucket o' crap Lori says 'If a woman believes she is “dying inside” and blames it on her husband, she has made her husband an idol...'  Can't have that. Making idols out of husbands is Lori's job.

Wait, what? If that is 'making your husband an idol‘ aren’t you also making your husband an idol if you submit to him like you’re submitting to God? You know, by only voting like he tells you to, catering to his every need etc. That sure sounds like idolizing to me.

Yes. That would be idolatry.  Worshiping the created, rather than the creator and having no mind for yourself.  Idolatry defined, as far as I'm concerned.

Quote

If a woman believes she is “dying inside” and blames it on her husband, she has made her husband an idol instead of finding her satisfaction and fulfillment in Christ. Women naturally rebel against their husbands (Genesis 3:16) and try to find fault with them so we must always be on guard against doing this. God wouldn’t have had to tell us so many times in His Word for us to submit to our husbands if it came naturally and easy for us.

If a woman believes she is "dying inside" and blames her husband and tells him, if he's wise, he will actually CARE that his wife feels "dead".  He will do everything in his power to HELP his ONE FLESH (his wife) - just as he would HELP HIMSELF (if he believed he was "dying inside").  Just as he would expect HER to help HIM if he went to her with such a statement or feeling.  He will not look at her and say, "Oh, stifle it, Edith!  You are in idolatry!  Get out of idolatry and then I will love you, dear."  That would make him a jackass.  No normal male acts like this in marriage or relationship.  Maybe the Comp Cult ones do, but normal men don't.

Further, women do not "naturally rebel against their husbands": this is Complementarian Cult exegesis of Genesis 3:16 and nothing more. There is nothing in the Word that tells us that women rebel against their husbands and try to find fault with them, any more than any other typical man or woman tries to find fault with other people.

Lastly, God does not "tell us so many times in His Word for us to submit to our husbands" in the way that Lori thinks He does.  Submit - the word doesn't mean what she thinks it means, and I've tried to tell her, and so have countless others.  She has yet remained unteachable.  Submit means COOPERATE.  EVERY HUMAN BEING ON THE PLANET should cooperate with other human beings (not evil, but other decent human beings) in love. Especially Christian MEN AND WOMEN (Eph. 5:21).

I think Lori cares very much what people think and that's why she's so mean. She's like the kid in kindergarten that breaks all the crayons when no one will let her color with them. I think it hurts her feelings that she's not as loved as other Christian bloggers and she doesn't understand why.

I also think that Lori doesn't really give a shit about being an "older" godly woman. What she does care about is cutting down younger women because she herself is no longer young. I remember that "YouTube" she made where she stood in front of her own picture talking sadly about getting older. She's jealous of young women, their bodies, their freedom. But the thing is, no one dropped that yoke around her neck except her. I think she's shallow enough to still need attention from men like Trey, Dave or the MRA crowd and that's why she's become so extreme. She eats it up when men post comments praising her as a paragon of female behavior.

Come over to MisForMama's thread please. You just described her basically to a T (she's late 30s and still young right now though) and we could use you.
