Seewalds 28: Marketing Kids as Deflection

Well, I guess they believe a woman's body will naturally tell her when it's done with fertility?

Like through a stillbirth, for example. I mean, it works.

But honestly, before I'd put myself through a miscarriage or stillbirth, I'd much rather just use birth control or a vasectomy or something. I don't know. Seems really masochistic to me to purposefully put yourself through that. I am absolutely terrified of the thought of ever having a miscarriage.

I skip that one too! I also sip Dwight’s speech. I watch it every night to fall sleep.  I mostly hang out in seasons 2 and 4 though.

I've gotten to the point where I can watch Scott's Tots all the way through, but it's realllly tough. And I've watched the whole series like 8 times. At least. It's funny, usually I hate cringe humour, but The Office is my favourite show of all time! I think my favourite episode is Fun Run, followed by Stress Relief and Dinner Party. Actually, Michael and Jan's relationship kind of reminds me of Jill and Derick's, except Jill is Michael and Derick is Jan.

Probably not, but I always think of a priest I had when I was a kid, he told the story about his mom and his huge family, he was in his 50's back in the late 70's. His mom & dad had neighbors who complained about their yard and she would always tell them that she was growing children there would be time to grow grass later. And then he talked about spending time with family and not worrying about how things look on the outside and to work on the inside because that was more important.  Its always stuck with me, it was one of the few things I took with me from my catholic up bringing.

Here's what I think is interesting. I attend church regularly and talk with mothers. Here's what stuck out to me, one mother of 4 told me her last pregnancy was difficult and to her it was a sign that God did not want her to having any more children. She didn't biologically but adopted three older kids. The place I go seem to stress healthy pregnancies and not to have as many as you can. Largest family is 4 or 5 kids.

Henry looks a lot like his cousins Israel and Samuel there. Those Duggar genes are strong.

The Office is my ALL TIME favorite TV show!! I rewatch it constantly lol. The way its written makes the cringe hilarious.  I always skip the Scott's Tots episode, though.

I JUST skipped this episode. I can't. That and the Willy Wonka/Golden Ticket. It's too cringe inducing for me!

Did we all just become best friends??? Your favorite episodes are among mine. Dinner party is so relatable! Everyone cringes around bickering couples, right? Kelly Kapoor dancing to Stayin' Alive is the greatest thing ever. EVERRR

As someone who cannot stand cringe humor, I recently saw The Disaster Artist. My boyfriend leaned over multiple times to ask if I was okay, because I was curled up in my seat with my hands over my face. It was a great movie, and I'm glad I saw it, but I was happy when it was over.

I think that Dinner Party is the single greatest episode of any tv show ever.

Dinner Party is an AWESOME episode. Scott's Tots is cringe humor for me but it just doesn't get to the same level as Dinner Party... I think because the show was just at peak form seasons 2-4 it just has that extra magic for me.

My all time favorite might be Casino Night, though. It has a great combination of humor and plot development. I also love Night Out, Booze Cruise, and Dwight's Speech. And so many more. The Office is just the best show.

I gotta vote for The Injury ("You can't fire me; I don't work in this van!") and The Return ("Maybe YOU'RE in the ceiling!"). Casino Night is kind of a perfect episode, though. Best show of all time!

I want to give some love to the later seasons, too. I love 'Counseling' - that's the one where Toby is counseling Michael, Pam fakes her way into becoming office administrator, and Dwight 'Pretty Womans' the Steamtown Mall. Also 'Threat Level Midnight' (I mean, come on), and of course the series finale (Jim and Pam are great and all, but Dwight and Angela were my favourite couple).

I am just going to accept that the sleepy stage of of pregnancy is gone and good old insomnia is back and just watch this episode (maybe some Serenity by Jan products would help me sleep)

“The Injury” was the first episode I saw and liked, Michael can be a bit much for me in a lot of them. I love the Jim/Pam falling in love, so “Booze Cruise” and “Casino Night” get me, but I do and always will have a soft spot for Benjamin Franklin’s sleazing on Pam and mucking with Dwight. We watched that episode in the college lounge during midterms or something and just lost it, then years later totally booked a historic speaker for one of the girl’s bachelorette parties (which was perfect for her anyway).

I cringe by association, happily skip disaster/end of world movies and the other half watches those things on his own time. He loves that Impractical Jokers show.

I cringe at the episodes where Michael and Pam go on a lecture circuit at the other branches and the one where the Scranton and Stamford branches merge. And I agree Michael is cringey pretty much all the time but he's definitely my favorite and I basically cry for his last episode like every time I watch it. I'm not sure I have a favorite whole episode ( I can't just pick one) but I do LOVE the one where Dwight sets up the fire drill and the subsequent episode after that one...I'm feeling like I need to buff up my Office knowledge with all you knowing the friggin episode titles lol

Have you ever seen the actual Threat Level Midnight video? It's floating around on the internet somewhere, includes scenes not seen in the episode, and is like 25 minutes long.

Threat Level What? MIDNIGHT! Threat Level Who? MICHAEL SCARN!

Henry being a typical little brother. Spurgeon is so cute and he did build a nice tower!
