On who Izzy looks like: maybe one of his uncles? It took me 4 years to figure out that Kiddo looks like I had a baby with my SIL-he looks like the perfect combo of us. He doesn't look like his dad at all. I think Izzy looks like the howler uncles more than his parents.

Personally, if I was set on being a missionary in another country AND planned on having eleventy kids I'd go to Canada. Closeish to home, same language (and Québécois), and most importantly access to first world health care. After a birth like Izzy, I'd be VERY reluctant to give birth in Sintral America. I'm sure they have hospitals and great doctors but why take that chance. I'm sure they could find some "Native Canadians" to try and save.

And they are a lot of heathens in Newfoundland, but they aren't coming here. I'm now picturing them handing out tracts on George Street Friday night. So many bars, so little time. They'd have to learn a new language basically. Sometimes it's barely English. I'd love to see the expression as someone asked "How's she cutting me ole cock?"

I know I've said this before somewhere, but Izzy really reminds me of my 11 year old cousin. Not going to post a photo of cousin but it does hit me every time I see a photo of Izzy. 

Ive never been any good at saying which relative(s) a baby looks like, especially not newborns. It always strikes me as odd how a dad can go "aww, she looks just like you!" to his seconds-old daughter (for example). To me it just looks like a newborn baby. Even when it's older I wouldn't be able to tell!! Maybe I'll be able to when I have a baby of my own, but for now I'll just go with "aww it's a baby!"

I really don't follow this thread, so pardon me if anyone else has said this same thing. But all throughout the Fantastic Beasts movie I was trying to think of who Newt reminded me of, then it hit me.

Also, I think prying victims with alcohol is just a really stupid idea. I would respectfully suggest to Mr. Jennings that something more substantial, such as a crowbar, may be more effective.

@Fascinated,  I loved how the writer of that article used the wrong word.  If you are going to make your living as a writer, then you need to use the correct word.  The word s/he wanted was ply, but pry.  Those words may be one letter apart in spelling, but they mean totally different things.

No worries.  I think the Duggars claimed that the state trouper was a "family friend" but I've been known to be wrong.  Not often, but very occasionally.   

Actually one of the nastiest things about Josh's molestations was how many people knew.  Jim Bob consulted with the Elders of his church at the time, the guy at IBLP Little Rock HQ, the state trooper, and the parishioners (one, two or possibly three) who were scampering around the internet (not here, although we discussed their posts) making accusations.  It was not until one sent an email to the Oprah show and they passed it on to the proper authorities that any actions were taken.   

Note to anyone who is personally aware of child abuse - please go to the proper authorities immediately with your suspicions or evidence, your identity will be kept confidential.  Don't faff around on internet forums sounding malicious.  We can't do anything.
