Most of their real estate is commercial properties, so yeah I'm not sure how much they've done.

I think so. Jim Bob said on one episode where he had the kids cleaning this godawful nasty house that they don't do much residential real estate.

yeah, they'd have to read secular passages for the English and Reading sections, as well as read charts and graphs about real Science in the Science section! In the ACT book there's even a passage about dinosaurs and mentions of australopithecus, an early human species from 3 million years ago!

I can't help but remember Anna talking about how glad she was that she had a husband because otherwise she'd have to take the trash out by herself. I have to say, if taking the garbage out by myself is the price I have to pay for not being married to a Josh Duggar, I'll drive the freaking garbage truck.

I suppose this also says a lot about Josh's value as a husband, too.  He's not good for much, but at least she doesn't have to drag the trash to the can.  So.  That's something.

Yeah, this is not a person that will ever do anything for herself that could be done by a "husband", i.e. she will only perform submissive "woman's work". Her standards for what she wants out of a husband are obviously not high.

And if he cheats on you and winds up in Jesus rehab for sex/porn addiction, if you marry right you can move into a dorm style room in his father's house with your four young children and your husband's eleventy younger brothers will take out the trash!  Every little girl's dream come true.

Maybe keeping sweet is saying the nicest thing you can about your husband...it's a shame if that was it.

Just out of curiosity was she kind of kidding when she said it?  When my kids were younger and would make snarky comments about how I only had kids so I wouldn't have to take out the garbage or cut the lawn I would set them straight by telling them that it was NOT why I had kids....because I have a husband so I wouldn't be doing those things regardless.  But I was kidding.

(and yeah - I had kids to get out of those two things because goodness knows raising them to adulthood and paying for college was certainly cheaper than hiring someone to do the lawn!)

I kind of feel guilty that as I was reading that the guy from the cleaning service was in here emptying the garbage in my office.  

And I didn't even have to marry him.

I think that even without the cult-like upbringing Anna had, she would have chosen to be a stay-at-home mother and wife. I can't imagine what life's going to be like for her and Josh now because there's no guarantee of a job for him (unless Boob intervenes, which he probably will) and she'll be the only one on Counting On.

How weird is it going to be for Anna if Josh really is banned from Counting On. (Was this  ever actually confirmed?) Talk about the elephant in the room.  "Sorry, Josh, you need to get out of the shot.  Can't be reminding the public of your molesting and cheating ways."

I don't know if this has been confirmed or not, but if it is true it really, REALLY makes me wonder what the moving forward plan is and makes me very concerned about Anna and the M kids and even Josh (unless there is an actual plan that Josh won't be in the same physical location as them when there is filming taking place (and even that is weird unless they are planning to spend a lot of time apart with or without filming )).

Speaking of Josh and trash, I read an article yesterday about trash collecting and sanitation in general, and it's a very well-paying job, especially if you're driving the trucks. In NYC, the can make over $100K a year, no high school degree required (no snark here, I like that such a hard, dirty job pays so well). If Josh wants to make a living away from Jim Bob's control, he could look into sanitation and/or get his CDL.

But I don't think any kind of real job will be necessary, because he'll be back on the show. They'll pave the way with Anna...she'll casually mention him and the things they're doing with the kids, and eventually he'll make an appearance in a very sincere TH with Anna, tears running down face, expressing remorse for all the pain he causes, blah blah blah. I'm calling it for the season finale, either a VSE or just a preview for the next season.

ok if you call Josh back on the season finale - I am calling it that Anna will be pregnant again on that season finale plus Jill and Jessa at the same time - ok maybe not Jessa because she will be adopting a Hispanic baby to prove her point
