This reminds me of when I was responsible for approving the design of the health plan for the mid-sized company I worked for circa 2000....I was REALLY into the details.... For example, I had to decide how many ED (i.e. Viagra) pills we'd cover per month. All the HR/benefits people on my team were female (we had just added contraceptive coverage the year before).

Anyway...

We came up with ten (10). I remember saying that ten times/month was MORE than enough! Ha ... So much power!!!

Just read earlier that Mama June said the family is getting back onto reality tv. It isn't on TLC but they should be on in december as well.

 

I guess they can't be too mad at the Duggars for being able to get a show back on too!

Interesting. I wonder what network picked them up. Non-compete clauses with TLC must have run their course. We are about 1 year after the cancellation (Oct. 2014, I believe). Anyone think whatever network this is might try to pick up a Duggar reboot in May 2016?

I am going to leave a little rant here...

I CANNOT STAND JOHN DAVID.  I Do not get the feeling that he is shy, I think he's just too hard on the eyes and ears to get much screen time.  Every time someone posts about JD being shy and reserved I want to post this link where you can see John Davids sense of humor, trashing Erin and Chad's car in their wedding day.  Her reminds me of a Fundie Beevus is Bevvus and butthead.  "heh heh we're ganna put catfood in the car heh heh" UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHG!  Can NOT Stand!

That looks like it was mostly staged by TLC. I don't remember the details about trashing Josh's car, but in the flashback here, Jinger seemed to be pretty into it, not just JD. Disclaimer: there's a running joke about my love for JD on the aviation thread, but I don't actually have a horse in this race; I just think it pays to remember that the majority of what we saw on TLC was not candid or spontaneous.

I might agree with you about it being staged if it didn't feel so much like Jim boobs sense of humor.  I really think this is what passes for funny in the Duggar house.

I am going to have to agree that I do not like John David either. He seems very smirky in my opinion. In the courting season, he made several statements about making sure they were up to marrying his sisters and he also seemed to find great joy in making Ben clean/work while he ordered him about. In no way am I sticking up for Benjamin, but it seems like there was a scene where they were repairing a fence and no tools were brought. John David laughed and blamed it all on Ben but he was supposed to be training Ben and showing him what needed to be done so wouldn't that include telling him what tools would be needed? He even mentioned he would let his dad know who was slowing them up.  His statements just gave me a very odd feeling when he was on camera. It is the same feeling I get when Josh speaks. Ick.

What was poignant about Jill and Derick was right before Jill walks down the aisle with Jim Bob, she basically admitted to her dad she was marrying him because JB said Derick was good.  Not that she loved Derick, or any other reason, but Daddy said he was a good guy. 

*HEADSMACK*  Derick seems like a nice enough guy, but not the sharpest tool in the shed if you get my drift.  I also think he hooked up with JB as a prayer partner because he wanted to get into the Duggar family himself.

Yeah, the way they jerked Ben around kindof irked me, too. I was waiting for Ben to say "Eff this. I don't want to marry anyone bad enough that I will tolerate being treated like a servant."

Yeah that whole thing with the car seems staged. Towards the beginning it almost sounds like JD is reading the lines. Personally I just get awkward vibes from him, he seems pretty introverted and uncomfortable on camera, I'd be curious to know how he acts off camera.
