I think it is interesting that People Magazin is now back on the good old duggar fary tale story s. After finally reporting about What the cult is really up to. And again it is jill getting the headlines. My guests is that jessa really did something to piss them of. After People did Dome storys closer to the truth of Dugger World, somebody must have fixed things. Jessa must be furious to see Jill with nice reports about her boring life while nobody wants her.

I wouldnt put such an emphasise on the short sleeves thing. Seems it has been a trend for a while now. Jessa posted a photo from her first date with Bin and her sleeves were short.

I knew someone would take it literally and go back and find an earlier pic. :lol: It's just something I have noticed over time and that "rules" seem to have gotten more lax regarding how much skin can be shown. That is all. I wonder if the Dugglings would have changed dress code regardless of the TLC shows over the years or if they'd still be stylin' in frumpers. Oh, that worldly influence.

I keep going back to the wedding that Ben was at, might have been Jill's, where Jim Bob actually grabbed Ben by the tie and was leading him around like a puppy on a leash. I couldn't believe Ben let himself be shown on camera like that. It's one thing to speculate that Ben is Jim Bob's lapdog, it's quite another to see it filmed right there in front of God and everybody.

I also wonder what he and Jessa are going to do once her speaking engagements dry up completely.

It doesn't surprise me at all. Ben is not an alpha male, JB is (asshole), so there you go. An asshole like JB could not pass up an opportunity to get in a literal* pissing match with a man/boy less dominant with him.

*That's my new thing now, using the word "literally" for non literal scenarios. I'm just trying it on for size.

Not overly remarkable in that Lil B follows a LOT of people, to the tune of 1.28 million, but usually only those who follow him, implying that at some point, Jessa followed him. Maybe.

But I think it's worth remembering that Lil B does most of his work via social media. Also, he's known for basically being the troll of the rap world. So he could be following Jessa for any reason or no reason.

...He might be planning to name a rap song after her, though. He's done it for other female celebrities (Katy Perry, Paris Hilton...)

If the song's about Jessa in general, she and her father would think they were entitled to their share just because she's part of the Duggar brand. Lil B follows a lot of large cultural figures. I read an article not too long ago about how he follows a bunch of politicians, including Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Of the people mentioned in the article, only Bernie had followed back. That really tickled me. :-)

I think Jessa chose Ben and wouldn't be deterred from that choice. Jim Bob (a) saw he could probably control Ben, and (b) wasn't over-invested in WHO Jessa married, because she's not a particular favourite of his.

I totally agree that Jessa is obviously not one of Jim Bob's favorites (does he have favorites besides Jill and Jana...?). I also think that he and Michelle hurry to marry off the children who they perceive as the most sexual or likely to "sin" before marriage. Josh because of the molestation and porn issues, Jill because she went to them and confessed to being constantly horny/wanting a husband (per the interview that was printed last spring), and Jessa because of her "I'm so sultry and gorgeous please worship me" thing.

The result: rushed, ill-matched marriages. :(
