If you google Ben Jessa Seewald Kiss you'll see quite a few different ones taken the day of the wedding. It looks like Ben doesn't really kiss back. Maybe it's just because they are posed photos though.

I can't stand the Duggars and think they pretty much deserve everything they're getting right now, but hell, even *I* am mad at Amy. My mean, voyeuristic side is enjoying the train wreck, don't get me wrong, but what Amy is doing right now is just shitty. Either completely cut off from the family or stay and be supportive and loyal. Don't use your alleged love and concern for your family to paint a pretty picture of yourself to the press while talking shit about them.

I wonder if Amy has some mixed emotions about Jim Boob and DQ. I wonder what sort of things JB has said to Amy and her mother privately. I imagine him telling them all the things they're doing wrong, criticizing Amy/her mom for letting her do things like have private conversations with her boyfriend, trying to tell them that he's their headship and they have to listen to him, etc. I can also see JB and DQ making it clear that they look down on Amy and her mom for not being godly enough and acting like they're a good example to them.

These fundies who think that the only way to ensure a good marriage is to save every bit of intimacy for after the wedding are absolutely ridiculous. I feel like they actually set themselves up for very bad marriages because they get very little time to actually get to know one another and they get married when they're still in the "infatuation" stage.

FWIW, I was a virgin when I got married (my choice, something I decided when I was fairly young) but my now husband and I did not save kissing or making out. We were able to date and be alone (a lot) and got to know each other very quickly (99% of our dates were just sitting around talking and getting to know one another) but we still waited 4 years to get married but then again, we were very young when we met. I think people still thought our marriage wouldn't last because we were so young but we've been married 7 years and going strong.

Those videos were painful to watch. First of all, I agree about Jessa and Josiah, oddly. They did seem most sincere.

Jana and Joy's video really stood out to me! I guess I was surprised(?) that they didn't have much to say... But then at the same time (here we go, now my head is spinning) they likely do everything FOR her, so maybe they're just over her and over it. I don't know. Their video was just strange to me. I noticed some other things that I'll keep to myself. I guess I just wonder how those ladies are doing and I suspect not so well. Ugh. My heart hurts for them.

JB is, as I've stated before, for lack of a more sophisticated term for someone like himself, a fuck job. I mean, he's been married to that woman for decades and basically said NOTHING to her in that video! "I love you... Blah, blah blah... You love Jesus... Blah, blah, blah, bible verse... Etc..."

I have been watching the Duggar's since the very start. I watched all the famewhoring reality TV on TLC. The Duggars, Jon & Kate, Kids by the Dozen, Sister Wives etc. I always liked that the Duggar kids (the little ones at least) seemed like they were fairly normal.

I never had a problem with their religion until the Duggars started talking about courtship. That's when they lost me, but I kept right on watching and am still watching now. They are a trainwreck. That said, Jessa is still my favourite.

Why? Because she will write the best book. The day will come when she writes that book and I really cannot wait to read it.

JB and DQ have created a family of attention needy, love starved, sexually repressed, emotionally stunted kids. We are now seeing how that works out. I hope for the sake of their children, that some of the J'slaves manage to get out.

In the meantime however, I am going to keep right on watching, and waiting for the tell all books to come. Its too bad that some of the people that the Duggars have been involved with in the past are so entrenched in the QF lifestyle - I'd love to hear more from Margery about her courtship with Josiah, or the girl that Smuggar 1.0 was promised to.
