Just the public FB profile photos, and whatever Chelsy puts on her blog.

Thank you!

The photos are beautiful, and their kids just adorable. Love their clothes; I have the thrifting skills, but I don't have the ability to find stuff that coordinates for photos as well as she clearly does!

You cannot deny it, John and Chelsey have beautiful children.  Madeline is losing that preemie look and their eyes are ridiculous!  People pay big money for contacts to attempt that color.  She does a nice job grooming them to have nicely managed hair and dresses them lovely proudly on a budget.  Can you imagine?  Jill Rod probably spends more effort on the raga muffin layered look than Chelsey does on the appropriately covered child looks.

Cute kids in appropriately sized, attractive clothes.  They look genuinely happy and none of them are emaciated.  This is what's possible when one's priorities aren't performing, vacationing, and applying make-up.  Jill Rod even fails as a fundie.

Chelsy mentions that John doesn’t like the annual picture session which is pretty chef’s kiss. John wanted out of the MaxBorg so badly!

Yes…I always wonder about the Johns, Alyssas, Josies and Jingers of these families and how they coped through those rough teenage and young adult years. Can you imagine being inclined to living in a quiet, neat house and ending up in the Rocky Top, TN house??? All Jinger wanted was to live in a city and notice now that she’s in sunny CA, she rarely finds time to spend in Tontitown, and the same goes for Alyssa. She seems to be the 1 Bates  who sometimes misses huge family gatherings.

The fact that even Chris couldn't ruin how good that family looks is very telling to me. Of the three, they are all adorable but Elliot is truly beautiful, something about his eyes is very special. And Madeline just looks like a regular toddler now. These kids aren't limited to two animal crackers and it shows. Good for them!

So, the seminar/workshop/whatever is going on now. I wonder how the turnout was/will be tomorrow?

@treemom,  wasn't @emmiedahl one of the Fjites involved in the bus humping?  Or maybe she couldn't't go at the last minute?  I remember that time pretty well and that a number of FJ folks left the forum.

I think the exodus happened a couple years after the Uriah humping. They didn't have anything to do with each other.

Remember Bacon Bra? She was a piece of work.

Chelsy posted family photos.

Those pics are fun to look at because everyone, particularly the kids, are having fun. FUN. The smiles are genuine.

The boys look a lot alike.

When Elliot scrunches up his face he looks so much like Nathan and Melanie's Christina at that age. They are all adorable children and Jill could stand to take lessons on thrifting from Chelsy.

You just knew she was one of the "you can't sit at our table" girls in middle school. Or maybe she never got over being told she couldn't sit at the mean girls' table and this was her turn.

She's 33 now, and given her health problems, I don't expect many more kids from her. I predict 5 kids, max.

She might, I say might , even have closed up shop already. For the sake of her family I hope so.

I think Chelsey and John may have finished. First because of Chelsey's health issues and secondly John knows what it's like to grow up in a large family with an overwhelmed parent (Teri).  Chelsey isn't like Teri in any way at all, but John also isn't Stevehovah.

John seems to like his life and family size as it is.  He doesn't seems to feel the need to procreate to prove a point. As an adult he is now most likely very aware that his mother was over whelmed by the extra reversal children that Stevehovah alone decided Teri would have. I don't think John will do that to Chelsey.

John and Chelsey look so happy and relaxed together in ways that Steve and Terri never did/ do.  The children look happy and are really smiling. No shades of Sarah's sad half smile we saw for years and years and years.

On the speculation bus here -- but I suspect Stevehovah doesn't like Chelsey very much these days. She isn't his idea of what a Maxwell wife should be. In those photos Chelsey is dressed like a regular 33-year old, not like a Maxwell DiL. No frumpers. No ankle length denim skirts. No vests. She encouraged Sarah to look on line for love. Plus Chelsey is all about creating fun events and  we know Stevehovah thinks FUN is Eeeeee-Vile

It would be very interesting if John and Chelsy decided they are done with 2 boys and a girl. Because that’s the exact configuration of children Steve and Teri had when he got a vasectomy. I’m positive that wouldn’t be lost on Steve.

Interesting contrast with Christopher and NR-Anna who decided they WEREN'T done with 3 boys and 3 girls and NR-Anna having survived a cancer that's often exacerbated by pregnancy hormones and could return at any time.

Chris and Anna are the most like Steve. I think he’s quite proud of them and disappointed in some way by all the rest.

One of the strongest tenets of Christianity is accepting God’s will and realizing that your own plans, desires and wishes may not jive with His will. Perhaps it is God’s will that John and Chelsy limit their family size d/t to C’s health issues???? Maybe God thinks that Steve has enough grandchildren. Maybe Steve (as well as many other fundie men) needs to understand that HE is not in control of the world, or even of his own life.

If they are choosing to prevent right now, I think it's fantastic they have decided to prioritize the family they currently have. Even if John and Chelsy are just taking a break from having children I think that is a good sign. Obviously, I don't know them, but I get the impression that John would be the one to say to Chelsy let's do X to prevent (NFP, condoms, whatever they chose) let's prioritize her (Chelsy's) health, make sure her body has had plenty of time to heal from everything she's been through from heart surgery to three quick in succession pregnancies and focus on making sure Madeline Sue has all the resources necessary since she was a preemie. I also wonder if finances are a factor because they've had several expensive medical bills in the past few years. I think if they decide three children complete their family that's great, or if they decide to have another child(ren) once they feel they are on solid ground in terms of Chely's health, and whatever other factors they are considering that's also great.

I hope John & Chelsea feel that 3 kids is enough for them. If they decide to have more kids then I hope everything works out great.

At one point, John and Chelsy talked about wanting a big family, so I don’t think they’re deliberately done. However, they both seem reasonably intelligent and practical. Whatever happens, I think they’ll put Chelsy’s health and the well-being of their existing family first. They may quietly engage in some natural family planning. Their remaining kids will likely be spaced farther apart than their first three.

This is another area where the pro-life before birth folks’ reasoning falls apart. What about the lives of the already born children (blessings per fundies)??? Do those lives not matter? All children have needs that must be met and some children require even more time, energy, finances, so are those already born children and their needs not considered, and if not, how is that a pro LIFE position?? Every woman risks her life by maintaining a pregnancy and birthing a child, shouldn’t the decision to take that risk be left to that woman?????

Should Gov Abbott from TX be allowed to make that decision for all the woman living in TX? And some people are surprised that the majority of US citizen support a woman’s right to choose? REALLY? How about letting the government decide who gets to have LASIK, Bunion surgery or Viagra????
