Lori Alexander 55: God Frowns Upon Lying, Lori

I can’t bring myself to rag on Lori for posting unappetizing soup pictures. Let’s be honest: Damn near all soup looks “unpretty,” but can be delicious anyway.

However, I can indeed bring myself to rag on her for damn near everything else she does.

Dear Lori, abortion has always and will always be around. Keeping it legal makes it safe for the women having one.

Women do care about women that’s why we have #metoo movement going on. It’s so women can have a voice. So they can report and not be afraid of not being believed.

I wish you could stop being so damn selfish and walk a mile in someone else’s shoes. Even if it’s just for a minute!

Not mine, it looks as delicious as it tastes. And if you are going to post pictures, sprinkle paprika, add parsley or something to enhance the appeal, using little liquid so that the solid ingredients stand out. I doubt seriously that her crap is delicious.

I admittedly passed the BEC point with Lori Alexander a long time ago. Her hatefulness permeates everything she does.

Regarding the butter in soup, this reminds me of something that is recommended on the keto diet, which is adding butter to coffee. The idea is that high fat will cause you to be satiated with less food and for longer, which is great if you're trying to lose weight, but if you already look like you're seriously underweight, it's not the best. She could be using it as a way to eat less or go longer without eating.

I'm throwing up now. Nasty. High fat adds high calories, not exactly conducive to weight loss. No keto or any other fad diet for me. Who knows why Lori does anything, although she is prone to all things woo.

We're having chicken soup tonight, made by Mr Nova who works 12 hours a day, six days a week right now. Don't tell Lori but he loves to cook as a hobby and a way to unwind. He usually makes a one pot dinner every Sunday. We eat then freeze whatever is left in individual portions. The idea of adding butter to broth soup is nauseating. Whenever we make soup I skim it till there's virtually no fat left because seeing an oily surface makes me lose my appetite.

I've actually done the butter and coconut oil (I usually  just use coconut oil with the same results) in coffee. But it has to be hot coffe blended in a blender with the butter and coconut oil. It greats a very nice creamy latte like texture. I add a bit of honey and vanilla to mine. It's supposed to be a meal replacement for the morning I think. My stomach isn't a fan of liquid breakfasts though. Anyways, when done right it's good but not something I'd recommend on the daily.

Tonight was Korean BBQ with beef, carrots, broccoli, and green onion over whole grain rice. I also bought some eggrolls. It turned out pretty good. I've already made some corn and potato chowder this fall. It looked good in the bowl with parsley and bacon on top lol. Working at a restaurant taught me quite a bit about the importance of presentation.

And no child that I know is going to be interested in eating that soup. Why not just make a nice chicken and veggie soup without all the blending? It would be just as healthy and easier. Plus more people would eat it as it would look nicer.

Some kerrigold in coffee is the best damn coffee ever.

I however use coconut oil for the most part. I use it with some collagen. I blend it hot with my immersion blender. Right now, blending a little fat in with my coffee pads the effect of the caffeine for me and helps me to get in my good fat.

For gluten free people, we do blend to make it have texture since we cannot used canned "cream of" soups. I blend cauliflower though. Or make squash or broccoli soup.

My daughter was trying to get me to try some "bulletproof" coffee when we were visiting over Labor Day.  Just NO.  I like my coffee black and hot and sorry, @EowynW, the idea of putting butter in my coffee is positively revolting.

I was thinking over the weekend abut something I'd noticed about one of my junior high yearbooks (around 1968).  Very few of the kids were really fat.  There were some kids that were overweight, but not that many.  (I can remember exactly one girl from my high school that I think may have been anorexic.  Or maybe she had cancer.  She was very skinny and obviously wore a wig.)  What was the difference?  More exercise (even just casual exercise), almost NO FAD DIETS, and NO SUPERSIZING

My favorite black coffee style is from the French press. [emoji3590] Texas Pecan is my current love.
Ooh I love Texas pecan! Didn't know that was a thing until we went to San Antonio this past new year's. So good.
And I LOVE adding extra butter and coconut oil to soup or coffee or mashed potatoes or other meals... I crave the extra fat sometimes. I have become really sensitive to dairy though (tummy problems and annoying acne) so sadly, I can't eat butter anymore.

I can relate. My favorite coffee is plain old Folger's...with heavy whipping cream added. But since I had to give up dairy, I rarely even drink coffee anymore. I just can't find anything that makes it as rich and creamy as REAL cream. Every now and then I have a very small cup just the way I like it. With fall finally arriving, I am really craving it each morning.

She deleted the Beth Moore post moments after these comments.  Also her DIL has posted the link in a positive way.  Apparently she like Beth and that may be the root of all of this.

As soon as I saw her DIL post I knew a post AGAINST Beth Moore was coming.....I'm sure her DIL has to grit her teeth a lot around Lori.

I'm a wee tiny little bit of a coffee snob. I'm addicted to Community, no matter how expensive it can be... that's my go juice. I know a few folks who did the Bullet Proof coffee with butter. I can't say I'm not intrigued, but my cholesterol starts stressing out at the very mention of the word.

When I saw the picture of Lori's soup the other day I had to just scroll real fast by it, it just looks so gross. I wouldn't want to see what her LDL's are like. My numbers are both genetically high & lifestyle high. I bet she doesn't even knew where hers fall.  All the garlic in the world won't correct a limited diet & total lack of exercise.

Another photo of her puke soup. This time she says she adds in a huge glob of butter. Glob and slather. She loves those words. The smell of cabbage and kale has got to be awful.

I'm now griefing for the poor cabbage she slaugthered in that "soup", since I love a nice cabbage dish in colder weather. How long did she cooked it, when she only cut him in four. And how long had she to whirl it with all the stems in it? Little tip, when chopping up a cabbage is hard work, your knife needs a good sharping. Little side note, the mushrooms in that picture are called "Champignons" or "Egerlinge" in germany and are your generic, year round mushrooms you find in every supermarket. But when I went to my dictonairy side for a translation into english, they translated it into mushroom.

And her anti-abortion/ anti-metoo post is the same as allways. I would be shocked if she would write about that topics otherwise.

Ken and Jeff are in a pissing match in the comments section under Lori's MGTOW post. They're arguing about Hallmark movies and whether or not they are "female porn".

I used to say that's what pro wrestling was, but I haven't watched in years - last time I did there was nobody worth watching.

Lori is just so vile. Like to the point I sometimes wonder if she's actually anti-Christian and doing her best to push people away from religion. It's working!

Did Lori delete her posts today? The last one I see if from yesterday.

I see today's steaming pile of bullshit entitled 'BASING BELIEFS UPON EXPERIENCES INSTEAD OF TRUTH,' but I could have sworn I saw a different title earlier about women being easily deceived, which is what it's mostly about.  Lori knows allllllll about basing beliefs on experience.  If it didn't work for her, or if she didn't/doesn't like (insert random thing here) then no one else gets to have/do/believe it either.

Lori:

"Not one woman that I have mentored who has been physically abused by her husband has told me that their husband is evil. They all say their husband is very troubled and needs help."

I'm confused. Why is it ok to listen to my little women brain when it tells me that my abusive husband is just "troubled"?  Wouldn't that be an example of believing my emotions instead of the truth? Perhaps the profuse amount of bruises and broken bones tell a different story? Nope. Ignore that. Be a good wife and stay. Ignore the fact that abused women often protect their abusers. Ask me how I know.

Lori:

"Some women have and will always be sexually assaulted by men. "

So stop whining already, girls. As long as women wear yoga pants and have tits bigger than Lori's, we can't expect a sexual assualt free world.

By the way, did anyone else notice that her quotes from commenters sound suspiciously like Lori, as evidenced by the use of two "therefores", a word she loves to use. Therefore, they were probably written by her. God frowns upon lying, Lori.

Ok glad I'm not going crazy. I only had a glance at it  before I went to work this morning. I hate giving her vile blog hits so I tend to avoid it if I can.

My husband tried to get me to explain the deal with syncronized diving and I had to admit that I had not gotten any further in understanding it that it was a bunch of guys with nice bodies twirling around trying to do so at exactly the same time and they somehow got points from that. He made some comment about public service TV porn and walked away. He is really prudish about things like that himself unlike me. The old view about men being visual and women are not is not true for us.

Oddly, I'm not seeing anything from today on Lori's FB page, title changed or not. First current post is yesterday afternoon's about the #metoo movement. And usually by now she's posted an afternoon notebook doodle. Wonder what's going on...

LOL, I just got an ad featuring John Cena on this page!

I'm trying to figure the whole women are easily deceived thing. My male professor told me I was good at what I was doing but can I really believe him because I'm easily deceived ? Or should I believe him because he's male and doesn't think with his emotions? But also apparently I'm not supposed to want a career but males in my life encouraged it. Does that make them deceived? So am I further deceived by them being deceived or am I being obedient to my headship (father)?  Can I be both?  I'm confused... Or am I deceived ? *head explodes because of the intensity of my existential crisis"
