I keep imagining Jinger and Jeremy  going with one of the less popular virtue names, like Patience or even Chastity. That or Jrace. (kidding!) (ok, only sort of kidding)

I'm also convinced that Anna Duggar's next baby daughter will be Mercy, so maybe I just like virtue names.

I can also definitely see J&J them going with something Greek and academic, since Jeremy seems to be very into the idea of his own literacy. That, or maybe they'll take advantage of producing the first granddaughter among the Duggar girls and claim Michelle. (I've always been mildly scandalized that [Redacted] and Anna claimed M names and then haven't produced a little Michelle.)

Darn I was really hoping for the baby to be born on the 20th anniversary of Sex and the City!

I have very religious (not fundie) friends that have done IVF and they have decided to give all of their embryos a chance. They didn’t have that many though so it’s not a hard promise to make since thay want more children. Don’t know how they would have handled 20 freezer embryos ...

They only freeze the once that are strong enough though and throw away the rest. I’m sure fundies wouldn’t be cool with that.

Okay, so I googled and it seems to be the Northwoods Family Conference up in the UP which took place from June 5-9. It says JB and Michelle were live speakers, but I don't know if they were there in person or just video conferencing.

This one takes place on Saturday the 16th, so it would have been impossible for this person to hear Jim Bob and Michelle mention that Kendra was having contractions during it, unless we're dealing with time travel.

I have always loved the name Garrett for whatever reason. I also love the name David. So this is probably one of my favourite Duggar names so far. The Duggars seem to really love the name Garrett as well. I know it was Michelle's father's name, but I have no idea what kind of relationship he had with the family...

Little Garrett most definitely has that Duggar look. He's cute. But he is a DUGGAR for sure!

It definitely looks like Kendra gave birth in a hospital (or at least some kind of medical setting). She's wearing a hospital bracelet.

It's also Joseph's middle name, and IIRC, he was pretty close to his grandpa.

I knew it was Joseph's middle name, but I didn't know he was close to his grandpa. To be honest, all I remembered was Jim Bob's difficult relationship with his father, and then his father moving in with them when his health declined. I always heard that Michelle's parents moved away soon after she got married, so I had no idea that any of them were close! Actually, for some reason I was operating under the delusion that there was a strained/distant relationship between Michelle and her parents, so I was kind of surprised when Josh & Anna gave Mason the middle name Garrett and figured it might've been for Joseph. Shows how much I know!

Ya'll, this is the first time I looked at my Duggar spreadsheet and actually felt a little bit overwhelmed. Five of the married couples have children now. Jinger's is gestating. Josiah and Lauren's will probably be gestating in the next 1-3 months. For some reason I feel like with the birth of Garrett we've officially crossed the threshold and have entered the realm of the crazy carousel of grandduggars. From now on it's going to be a constant cycle of pregnancy announcements, jinder announcements, births, pregnancy announcements, jinder announcements, births... and it will only accelerate.

Also, if Kendra didn't have a C-section, I maintain my prediction that she and Joseph will wind up with the most kids (out of the currently married couples, at least).
