Jill Duggar Pregnant! CONFIRMED! MERGED

I believe the Duggarism you are looking for is "think of the testimony" lol

It's like "think of the children!" only less sincere because they don't know how to think of the children.

You can always hope that it takes her a few months to get pregnant so she can be the focus of her husband's attention for a while before going back to her accustomed role of mother.

I'm going to be hoping that Dill's baby takes enough of the "ZOMG SPECIAL" out of it that Jessa and Ben decide to wait a while, wait until their or baby might have a chance to be noticed, and just get to know each other first. Too bad these kids didn't get a chance to get to know each other before the wedding. Chaperoning is such a hindrance.

Ugh. Ben is still just a child himself! A 19 year old boy's brain still isn't fully formed, and he has no business getting married. This is going to be a DISASTER of a relationship.

I had to go back and look at the cover again. It knocked the wind out of me to see their names when I looked for them. I had to LOOK for them! WTF is wrong with the world?

Robin Williams had the People cover last week and a large spread... I have the issue :-). Not that that excuses putting Jill on AGAIN in just a couple of months, but they didn't diss RW.

As I understand it, the only TV they watch is their own show yet they make an announcement on another show? Why is it okay to do that? Am I missing something? Not that it would kill them to watch "Who Do You Think You Are?" because each episode is like a mini history lesson. I marvel at the detailed records kept hundreds of years ago. It's a good show to watch with children because it can serve as a starting off point to delve deeper into a particular area of historical interest.

Also, I find their photo on Facebook with the "Derrick and Jill sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g" sign to be childish for people their age. Regardless, congratulations to them.

maybe without telling Jchelle and if she tells a sister, swearing them to secrecy. I hope so.

The girls have been brainwashed into telling their parents each other's secrets. I've wondered if JB and M did what my mother's parents did who, if it was found out one kid had a secret, punished ALL the kids with switches (that they themselves had to go pick out), except the one who told, since they assumed all the kids knew all the secrets. That resulted in the kids learning to rush to tell so they wouldn't be in trouble if someone else told first.

:D And where did y'all get the "catch" a baby line? I know there's a story.

In midwifery, it's usually catches catching. The mother is the one delivering the baby into the world, and the midwife if usually the one who catches it. If you say someone else is doing the delivery, then it takes the mother out of it. Mothers aren't active parts of c-sections (you can't be), but we sure as hell are when we're pushing them out.

Also last season Mullet went on about how she hopes to "catch a baby."

:D And where did y'all get the "catch" a baby line? I know there's a story.

In one of last season's episodes, Michelle went to a MFM specialist or something to have bloodwork. She wanted to have an exam and test hormone levels and whatnot to figure out if it was still possible for her to get pregnant. She actually said something like, "I want to make sure I'm in the best possible shape to catch a baby if it were to happen" :? As if god just tosses them out like pop flys and you want to make sure you have your glove ready...

I'd actually think a WDYTYA episode about the Duggars would be interesting, but I don't think they'd ever do it because of the chance they would find out about the not-family-friendly things their ancestors did. The episode with Martin Sheen had a scene where the pro-life Sheen found Spanish records revealing that his great-etc. grandmother was arrested for having an abortion.

They are going to miss out on the special time a man and woman share when only they know about their pregnancy. Shame on her sisters for even asking. :naughty:

I didn't even think of that! Now THATS sad

Ha, maybe it's different if you get pregnant easily, but the pee on my stick wasn't even dry before I'd emailed a PICTURE (I'm gross) to my mom and best friend. I had told my husband like 5 minutes prior. Granted, we had done IVF and were just letting people know our $12,000 was well spent.

Jill said in the People article that she's having major morning sickness. When I got pregnant, I didn't take a test till I had my first bout of morning sickness very early on. It's possible that the scenario was that she was getting queasy, she took tests that came up negative, and then her sisters noticed and encouraged her to take another test.

Just based on the fact that Jill and Derick full-faced hugged during their courtship and Michelle was all: "Well I'm sure that won't happen again" made me think that it's not really the choice of the kids themselves to follow these courtship rules, as much as J'chelle keeps trying to sell it that way. She keeps saying they made the decision to have this kind of courtship, but it's hardly a choice when you have parents who are so rigid and don't really allow an alternatives.

I get the feeling that with Derick, at least, he may follow the party line for now about stuff like having as many kids as God gives them, but I could see him putting his foot down in a few years. It'll be interesting to see how Jill responds. She is so completely a kool-aid drinker of her parents lifestyle and beliefs, but to me that also shows that she can be easily swayed and manipulated unlike the girls who question more and more rebellious. I can see Derick sit her down and lay out reasons to use some form of birth control (like rhythm method at the very least) and her agreeing...maybe without telling Jchelle and if she tells a sister, swearing them to secrecy. I hope so. I think Derick could be good for her as long as he isn't brainwashed into the Duggar way of life.

No, it's the choice of the kids. Bill Engvall explains it once again for all of you who have doubts:

They SHOULD have had the late Lauren Bacall on the cover. She died last week at the age of 89 and was truly a legend and was married to another Hollywood legend.

Bogie whistled for his beloved Betty and she's come to join him at last.

I guess I should clarify-- if I had faced fertility issues or had been trying for a while, I can imagine testing constantly. I just can't imagine spending $5 on a pregnancy test after I've only been trying for several cycles when I'll have a good idea whether or not I'm pregnant by just waiting a couple weeks.

But again, I'm not a Duggar, and that is a completely different culture in regards to pregnancy!

Wondfo baby! Those suckers are less than $1 a piece on Amazon. They're like 30 cents per strip and super accurate (at least, they gave me a glaring positive 12 days after "ovulation"... that's in quotes bc we did IVF so I didn't really ovulate).

Testing repeatedly and early doesn't really phase me. We did the infertility thing, but even if we hadn't, once you're trying, you WANT to be pregnant and some people just want to know ASAP. Since Jill clearly was trying and wanted to be pregnant, she is probably that "must know ASAP" type person. I have some friends who were trying but would just wait around til a period was late to test. Never in a million years would I have had the patience for that!

I think it's totally okay if people do test early-- I just don't understand it personally, at least when starting out. But that's based on my personality (I hate spending money and, in general, tend to wait things out) and expectations (I have a good family history of fertility-- my mom tried for three kids and got three kids while my sister tried for one kid and now has three-- so I'd feel wasteful buying test in bulk).

Michelle referred to "catching a baby" last season when they went to see a fertility specialist.

Jill could certainly be pregnant without having sex before the wedding and still be due in March. I got pregnant sometime between June 21st and the 26th (I only tracked for the week, not the day) and I'm due March 17th. So if she's really due on the 28th, then two weeks after the wedding would work. I was testing really early as well, but that's because I have a history of early miscarriage and needed to start taking progesterone.

Obviously, I'm not saying that Jill absolutely did not have sex before her wedding, just that the facts we've been given do fit into the wedding timeline

They probably go to Sam's Club and buy a case of cream corn, industrial sized jars of pickles and a flat of pregnancy tests.

48 tests for $60 at Walmart. http://www.walmart.com/ip/34403555?wmls ... 81&veh=sem What kind of shelf life do pregnancy tests have? If Jill used 3 tests for this pregnancy and continually gets pregnant at the first opportunity, this case would last her through 16 pregnancies. No wonder J'Menopause hasn't run out of tests!

I give up. Everyone in this family is a complete nutjob, including the babies probably.

I'm not quite ready to throw up my hands yet, but I'm pretty close. I'm still rooting for Jessa (I've always regarded Jill as the president of Future Fundies of America, barf), though I'm sure it'll bite me in the ass.

I hope you are right but I see Jessa getting knocked up as soon as Benessa have found out how to play Lego.

What's the difference between the Kardashiins, Kate, and the Duggars. They're all attention whores l. I can't believe Derrick and Jill would whore themselves out like this as well as their unborn child. They aren't celebrities in my eyes. They're famous for nothing.

And i still can't get over michelle having pregnant tests. The article said Jill too a bunch of her own tests that came out negative then took one of mothers and it came out positive.
