Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard didn't waste any time!

 

Less than two months after the couple wed, Duggar tells People, "We're having a baby!"

 

The 19 Kids and Counting star says she and her husband "are so excited" to start a family. "About 30 days after Jill and Derick got married they gathered everyone in the living room and shared the news," patriarch Jim Bob Duggar, 49, says. "Everyone was clapping and cheering, and we were in shock, too."

Jill, 23, and Derick, 25, tied the knot on June 21 in Springdale, Ark. They didn't hold hands until they got engaged in April. As newlyweds, the couple kissed for the first time in front of more than 1,000 people.

 

After several pregnancy tests came back negative, Jill's sisters persuaded her to take one of mom Michelle Duggar's tests while visiting her parents' home. This time, the results came back positive.

"It was surreal," Derick recalls. "We were shocked. Both of us are so excited."

 

The couple will welcome their first child in March.

 

Meanwhile, Jill's little sister, Jessa Duggar, recently announced her engagement to Ben Seewald.

Why does it not surprise me that Michelle has a supply of pregnancy tests sitting around? Congrats to the newlyweds but wow that was fast. I hope they take time to enjoy this baby and not rush into having kids one after the other. They are young still and have a lifetime of things to do together.

This is my first post. Been lurking for years. I conceived twins via IUI on June 30 and was due March 23. It says she is due in March so she could be as much as 10w pregnant as today I would have been 9w2d if I hadn't miscarried.

I was hoping this wouldn't happen. Now my newsfeed is going to explode. :roll:
