He reminds me of Chad Paine. Just a bit.

I thought so too! I was even wondering before I found out who he was if they might have been cousins or something.

I really, really hope that  Jinger's  wedding dress is loaned to someone else as their "something borrowed". I don't care if it is a sister, a future sister in law, or a friend. That train MAKES the portraits!

I thought that train was a bit too long,  making it difficult to control in the space available...did my heart good to watch Jessa waddle around, trying to keep up with it :D Grandma Vuolo will have another beautiful bride on her wall...I hope all the girls will pass on their wedding dresses, there may not be as much money when it's their little sister's turns to marry..

Jinger was absolutely gorgeous, it was the classiest Duggar wedding yet imo...weird that I didn't find Chuck Vuolo to be very scary, seems to genuinely care for his wife, that's a good sign...

Derrick coming in a "saving" Jill from that awful groomsmen who was to escort her down the aisle.  So ridiculous.  Josh didn't cut in on Anna.  I missed if Ben and Jessa left their places in the bridal party line and had to walk each other down the aisle.

So not cute a doing that a 2nd time.  Wonder if he did that at his brother's wedding last weekend.  He just needs to stop.  They don't need the attention on themselves.  Let it be about other people already.  The guy who was supposed to walk her out looked a bit annoyed.  I don't blame him.

The unity candle thing is supposed to symbolize their old selves coming together to be one person. Maybe the fact that they couldn't use their old candles and had to create a new flame will be symbolic of them throwing out their old ways and forging a new life together! (I know it won't happen but we can dream)

They're just lucky that someone left the lighter there. I think they said Cindy was in charge of the foilage and tree stumps on stage. Why did she seem to think it was a good idea to nail down the couple's candles that were going to be needed as part of their ceremony? Between that and the awful V!!!!!! backdrop, just ugh.

Derick might think his wife is the OG and deserving of all the attention on her sister's wedding day.

As we can already tell, Corruption doesn't like Jill or anything to do with her.

@Buzzard Mad props to you for keeping doing this.

And holy shit, TLC, such bullshit to have a series of nothing (then recaps of nothing) and then cram everything into one - and then next series will be stuff we've seen 1000 times.

Ugh.  This show.  Such enormous bullshit.

Thought the wedding was very nice, with two exceptions... that giant "V" ( a floral arch would have been beautiful against that dark wood). Also, that pillar between the doors, that wasn't thought out very well, either for a wedding or a funeral. You separate the bride/father and the bride/groom.... you also couldn't carry a casket in either...

I know the new courting couple was talked about on the other thread. I have to say that I really wished the new courting person was either one of the twins or Joseph.

I thought maybe Joseph is courting, too, since there was a picture with a girl walking next to him during JInger's wedding and the same girl was in the episode where Jill and Derick entered the new guest house.

There's a lot happening in the Duggar household now. There will likely be babies every few months now that more of the kids are being married off... we've been waiting for this to happen, and now it is!

My timeline prediction for the next year:

Joy and Austin engagement by NYE... maybe even at Christmas. Complete with carollers.

Jessa gives birth in late January/early February.

Joy and Austin married in April or May.

Jill and Jinger announce pregnancies by the time Joy marries.

Another courtship or 2 by September.

Joy pregnant by Thanksgiving.

An engagement or possibly wedding by NYE 2017.

Then imagine 2018 and 2019 based on those figures. And that's not even factoring more babies for Josh and Anna, or Jessa and Ben. Heck, maybe even Jinger may be on to #2 by then.

Nor does Harley ;) I never miss an opportunity to snark on the Dullards.

This depresses me. Joy is such a young, free, tomboy spirit. Pregnant in a year?? :(

And Jinger's got that Mediterranean coloring to help her blend in; very important in some Italian families. My husband's grandma had that wall of wedding portraits, and it was actually kind of comical how, amidst a sea of dark haired, olive-skinned couples... there's us: the big, dark-haired, olive-skinned groom... standing next to Polly Pocket.

I've been wondering about this. Grandma Vuolo said she married into an Italian family and had to learn to cook the food. So does Jeremy just have one grandparent of Italian descent, or does his mother have some of that background, as well? People like to go on about his Italian heritage, but if it's just Grandpa, that's nice, but not the reigning thing.

I loved my dad, but was always a touch bitter my mom didn't marry another kid (when she was 19, btw) with immigrant parents. ;-) When I was young, there was a bit of "you're only half," from some cousins, etc. Not that you could tell from looking at me or my brothers that Dad was mostly from English/German people.

My dad's family is Dutch-American and my mom isn't Dutch (which kind of bothered my grandparents), so I got the "only half" thing too and I used to feel kind of inferior about it since my dad's side of the family puts so much emphasis on their Dutch heritage. "If you ain't Dutch, you ain't much." :pb_rollseyes:

I'm told I look very Dutch, though, so at least I have that. :pb_lol:

no one noticed the candle in the wreath leaning the wrong way after jeremy blew it out - made me laugh

That made me laugh too, they were very cute trying to sort it out.  Jinger sure was in a hurry to blow out her candle ^_^ I hope they leave it crooked if they take it home as a keepsake.

Her wonderful shoes really tickle me, I wonder if there is a backstory to them...

It was mentioned in an article that Jeremy likes her in a flower print so she picked those shoes with that in mind. I think a lot of women dress in a way that pleases their significant other but I hope she doesn't lose herself in trying to please him.  She needs to remember that he was attracted to her for a reason and that she doesn't need to change.

I don't know but it fascinates me how my mil was disappointed that I'm not Italian, but when I found out that my fil isn't even Italian (he's Portugese and Hungarian), I was like WTF??

I'm Scottish and Welsh, and one time she asked me what the difference is between that and Irish; I jokingly answered "We don't even know." She was not assisted. But, having been a geography buff since I was a kid, I am of the opinion that ethnicity is a social construct, and ancestral DNA supports that opinion.

What's the difference between the Welsh and the Irish? Well, the Welsh are the Irish that can't swim! Ba-dum tsh.

My English grandfather taught me that one.

I find it funny that Portuguese is "acceptable" to your MIL but not Scottish/Welsh, because the Celts (ancestors to the Scots and I think Welsh) came from the Iberian peninsula. Three guesses where Portugal is :pb_lol:
