He has to big of an ego to plead guilty, he'd rather spend 25 years maintaining his innocence than plead guilty

Maybe the Duggar Time could be considered wholesome? The very slow pace of life, lots of time to do as you please/go on holiday/attend weddings without having to adhere to a schedule does have wholesome connotations to me, at least. Arrogant and rude af, yes, but wholesome. They never rush anywhere, they take their time. If they are late, who cares? If they wanna go on holiday, they just go, it's not like they have to attend work the next day.

It’s been said Jackie Kennedy was offered a million or so by her father in law Joe to stay married to JFK. This was after Jackie realized the extent if JFK’s womanizing and before he became president. Joe’s goal in life was to see his son become leader of the free world and knew it wouldn’t happen if there was a divorce. 

Jana as a wedding planner has potential. A woman in my small town has been one for years and makes a killing on it. Bought her daughter a house. Paid cash for it.

It actually reveals a lot about our society that partying and drinking are considered unwholesome but repressing women, exploiting children and pushing for oppression of others is thought of as wholesome. You are hardly the only one who thinks the Duggars/Bates are wholesome. It isn’t good background noise, it is a show that sugar coats evil. 

If people are going to watch these shows they need to be honest about what exactly it is they are watching and not try to pretend it is some sort of harmless background noise.

Yea, Joe did offer the money. I also think Jackie really loved him despite it all. Her own father was a womanizer/cheater and I know she adored him. She probably saw a lot of her father in JFK. Even Onassis cheated on her with Maria Callas.  I also think in his way JFK loved her. The others woman were nothing, Jackie was his wife and mother of his children. They had some real weird ways of thinking.

Instagram lurker over here. I've noticed large population of local fundies follow the Bates and Duggars on Instagram. In fact one family has a daughter in law that has photographed the Bates on several occasions. Her husband and his brother both graduated from Crown and have managed getting good jobs. One is a youth pastor the other works in the DC area promoting conservative issues. He was a principal of their church's school for several years before the move to DC. Looks like Crown is good for people who only have a religious agenda ?

Jackie and her mother in law Rose put up with a lot of shit from their husbands.  A lot more than any spouse of either sex should ever be expected to.  Jackie suffered a lot of pain and heartache.

I'm hoping this is the case. Anna knows that she has seven kids no matter what. If she stays married to Josh and he goes to prison - she's done having kids, she doesn't have to cater to him, AND she won't be hustled into another marriage. It would also mean JB and Michelle would be likely to continue to help support her and the kids, and it might be worth putting up with them as long as the money and helpers keep coming. It'll give her some level of independence, in a way without leaving her entire faith behind and facing the terrifying prospect of living in "the world".

I think what will be telling, if he goes to prison, is how she reacts when he's on the verge of being released. That might be the time she decides to divorce him.

That's laziness, not wholesome. Wholesome would be having only as many kids as you can afford to feed with the job you have, making sure they get a good education, and teaching them the value of hard work. Without taking all the grift you can get while actively working against others getting any sort of government help.

The word "wholesome" makes me cringe a bit, TBH. It's usually a cover for some kind of shaming of people who aren't considered "wholesome".

I believe she did see her. I seem to remember a picture of them together. I could be mistaken. I know that several family members did visit her. I think Ted visited often and I'm sure Eunice did. JFK Jr. too.

Yes Ted & Euinice did visit her. One of the last pictures taken of Rosemary was taken with Ted.

I found one of Rosemary visiting Rose in 1994. At least the family spent time with her. I wonder if Joe ever did.
