UA confirmed thet commenced, RU denied. Ru said they are on the way only to the place. What is going on?!

There's a small chance that they're actually quite brilliant. If they desert, they'll get court martialled. Surrendering to the Ukraining military? Fraught with difficulties and possible bad outcomes. Getting arrested?  Not such a bad move. If Russia wins, they can claim to have been illegally detained. If the Ukraine wins, they can claim to have always respected Ukraine's sovereignity, hence the peaceful arrest.

Either way, they're out of it all.
