Lori Alexander 74: Anniversary Pain

Recommended Posts

Today in Lori logic: SAHM/Ws don’t have time to cheat on their spouses but all working women do.

What??? How does that make sense at all? Even her warped little mind should be able to see that it doesn’t.

Critical thinking has never been her strong suit.  Criticism, yes.  Analysis, no.

Had Lori never heard about "When the postman rings twice"? Or the very popular porn topic about handymans being paid with sex?

I'd totally hang out with you just based on that smile. We'd need bail money though!

I'm ALWAYS up for mischief and shenanigans!! Mr. Xtian used to always joke about bail money when I went out with my friends. I guess we could entrust #2 son with it now.

Here's my pic from the Krewe of Pygmalion ball last year.  I'm in the middle with my bff and her daughter.  I'm 60 -- about 18 or so months younger than Lori.  I know I'm chubs, but I'd rather be chubs and happy than incessantly worrying about my weight and nagging others.  BTW, on Monday I had an appt. with a doc who I worked closely with at the hospital.  She looks at me and says "your hair is purple."  I reponded.  "Yes, intentionally purple."

~I don’t teach men except when I do~

Lori, you could literally do this with anything. You could teach men how to be loving husbands in the name of having them illustrate the love of God to women through their actions. That would be teaching women in the way you just described. However you don’t. You’re only saying this because it has to do with teaching men to force women to be doormats.

I jut wish Lori had an ounce of empathy in her body or soul or self.  I've been talking to a lot of women today on one of my widow's groups who lived their lives joyfully helping and serving their families and others.  Now, many of them are losing their houses and declaring bankruptcy, losing their independence because they are having to moving in with a sibling or child.  They are miserable and unhappy and Jesus doesn't pay anyone's mortgage despite Lori's nonsensical blathering.   Of course, we have the Loris on there 'you should have had insurance' which is the same as 'you should just trust God and his Perfect Ways'  neither of them are any practical help to someone in need.   And after losing their husband, are also losing the life they built together - their house and everything else.  Lori would never understand.  The only thing Lori would have to give up after Ken leaves - if he goes first -  is ten minutes and lube - if she even does that anymore.

Aaugh! Attention any admins or mods who may get a 'report post' from me regarding @Sarah92's post just above--I clicked the report post thingy by mistake. I X'd right back out, but I'm not sure if it actually went through as I've never reported a post before and don't know how it works. If it did go through, I'm sorry!

I'm part of some FB widows groups. I think I can safely say that none of them are being taken care of financially by their church.

Becoming a widow is a helluva lot more than just losing your lifemate. It's losing EVERYTHING. I mean, financially I've taken a hit because we're not sitting here fat on a VA disability check, instead I get an SSDI sized survivor's pension, but because savings I'm able to maintain my lifestyle (pared back a bit). I'd give that shit up to hear Mr. Xtian do another running commentary on what Big Stoopid is thinking, laughing so hard that my stomach would hurt and I'd end up not able to breathe either.

Life changes radically after you lose your lifemate. It takes more strength than you ever imagined you could ever muster to find that new normal after a comfortable life (not necessarily financially) with someone who knew you inside out and you knew them inside out. Mr. Xtian has been gone just over 5 months now...I'm still sorta lost.

Yes.  I'm further out than you - but tomorrow is the anniversary of his death and I'm struggling.   But the firsts are the worst - first year, first birthdays  all that.  Just kicks you in the gut.    And yes, everything changes - even little things like the tv you watch, the food you eat, and then add finance stress in.  It is horrendous.  I've been working 2 jobs for 6 years trying to keep up and I'm tired and done.   I got blocked from Lori's happy place by telling her Jesus wasn't paying my mortgage and someone needed to feed my kids.   Obviously I hate God - - it is the Only answer!  If only I trusted Him like Lori does - my life would be a bed of slime salad and carrying paddles in my purse!

How long does it take to climb out of the hermit hole? I don't want to go anywhere...he died here and although I have flashbacks, I just hate leaving the house

Hugs to you and all the people grieving here.

I love to socialize, sometimes, but I love my hermit hole that retirement and horribly cold weather sometimes build. Enjoy it, when you can.

I’m gonna be real honest and say if I was married I’d be furious if my husband was talking about our sex life for millions to see. Also Ben Dolt (purposeful change), drunkenness is a sin in Loriland.

I can’t help but feel that Lori is only able to say these things and believe these things because she’s privileged. It doesn’t matter if her black salves makes her sick, she can afford a doctor to fix it. She doesn’t have to worry about being a widow . I’m sure they have great life insurance. She can be “submissive” now because what I’m her life does she have to submit to Ken about? All their kids are out of the house, I’m sure their finances are set, Lori is in charge of groceries and shopping, she has her platform. Ken goes to work, comes home, they go on a 30 min walk and then probably go their separate ways.

Depends - different for everyone.  I'm still there.  I rearranged both my jobs to work from home and go to the store at 4 in the morning before there are too many people there.  Only go out when one of my kids asks and I do go visit my mil a few times a week at the assisted living.  Quit going to church.  Kid graduated so no school functions.   I hate leaving the house - but I did buy a new one in the middle of BFN and am moving next month!  My mom hates I'm moving to the middle of nowhere, but I Love it.

Some people force themselves to do things, go out and they enjoy it.   However- at 5 months you probably still have some widow brain. I wouldn't worry about it just yet.   It's normal - or what passes for normal in this new life.

Today's blog:  "It’s tempting to want fame and fortune through social media, but this pursuit will take time away from what God has called you to do."  Lori Alexander

It goes without saying that Lori has a big disconnect, but this is irony at its finest.  She of 8 different social media channels, etc. Besides Lori (and sadly her daughter Alyssa... who has to broadcast her entire Hawaiian vacation and her babymoon prior to baby) I don't know one single person (women or man) who is trying to get fame and fortune via social media.

Is this a sideway swipe at Alyssa perhaps?

Once I can convince myself to go out, I usually enjoy it. This being alone shit sucks balls. Mr. Xtian and I were pretty much glued at the hip...we did almost everything together...and doing shit alone is not working for me. I mean, we were together for 22 years...

Here's the accompanying title to the post you mention:

The arrogance of this is staggering. God is now taking his cues from Lori. Wouldn't the "seeds" have been god's in the in first place? How many times has she said that she was only preaching about the roles given to women and to "take it up with god" if someone doesn't like it? According to Lori's belief system, she is only the instrument, the mouthpiece, that her god speaks through. By her own standards she has no right to claim the "seeds" as her own. I hope she's ready for some of that godly punishment that she's always ready to dole out to others.

Here she goes again with her black-and-white thinking: a woman either serves others 24/7 or is a raging slave driver.
Lori sure ain’t one for nuanced reasoning.

Lori has made a "YouTube" about the Super Bowl.

Sure, she's posted about it a lot.  Nearly to the point of obsession, some might say.  Not to worry, though.  She's handling it fine.  Just.fine.

Really.

Lori's FB is a veritable avalanche of people condemning the pornographic, satanic, vulgar, horrible, disgusting, etc. etc. Super Bowl half time show.

Not that any of them saw it mind you. Oh no. They just heard about it or read about it or listened to Lori about it.

But it was Dis. Gus. Ting. Pornographic. Horrible. Etc. Everyone says so, so it must have been.

But they didn't see it. Oh no.  Because it's perfectly fine to condemn something you never saw.

Why it's perfectly fine for Lori to do one of her (in)famous You Tubes condemning the show.  Even though she didn't see it. Because Lori knows pornography when she hears about it.
