Whereas I’m betting Stevovah chose Marie for NRAnna because Marie sounds like Mary   gentle meek handmaiden of the lord be it unto me  according to thy will.  Submissive.

Whereas Anna Kay sounds contemporary,  Anna Katherine sounds Regal, and Anna Katie?? — WAAY too feisty & Irish!

wait, are you telling me that NR-Anna's middle name is Katherine?  or is this hypothetical?  i was under the impression that her middle name is Marie; am i wrong about that?

Steve could be spared the sight of "immodestly dressed" women while sailing if he got into frostbiting (sailing during the winter months) or ice boating.  I wish we had enough cold temps around here for ice boating to be a thing.  It looks like so much fun!

In defense of my PoorSarah, I believe Grace IS Sarah Hamilton’s middle name.

Wait, NR-Anna’s middle name is not Marie?

I just posted the same thing. Great minds and all

I’m the one who started the Katherine thing as far as Anna’s middle name. I was being facetious and using it an example when I wrote now funny it would be if her middle name was not actually Marie.

I apologize for the confusion.

@usmcmom, that’s actually pretty funny!  But @MamaJunebug‘s post was still believable because Steve is such a control freak that I wouldn’t put it past him to have assigned a name that suited *him* regardless of what her real name is.

I agree. It is very believable, which is why that scenario goes through my head every time I think of Steve changing her name.

Actually, it fits because God did actually change some names in the Bible and since Steve equates himself with God....

Just found this random quote on FB:

Stephen King, in his book “On Writing”  said: “If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that.”

I want to give Sarah that book. I want to give her Ernest Hemingway's "A Moveable Feast" and Virginia Woolf's "A Room of One's Own" (my two favourite writing manuals.) I want her to read and improve. I want her to succeed.

Sadly, her own father does not want her to succeed and would never allow this.

This showed up on my Facebook feed the other day. I saved it specifically for the discussion about Sarah’s so called writing.

I thought I read on here  that it’s Katherine. Although it doesn’t make sense for people like the senior Hamiltons to give other than Biblical or spiritual names.

No apologies, and I’m the one who wasn’t paying attention!  It was a fun mental exercise to write my (now wayward) post!

I understand kids wanting to emulate their parents. That picture just makes me sad, though, because they’re being bred to bred. That picture doesn’t show girls who want to emulate their mother. That picture says “this is the sole purpose of our daughters so we’re starting early.” ???

I've whined before about the creep toward brainlessness in the Lutheran Church that I used to love for its refusal to let you check your brain at the door.  The latest made the kangaroo photo even more dusgusting:

Two pastors (on radio) were discussing family life. One, who had a deceptively sweet, kindly voice, said, “I hope all my daughters will want to have all the children they can! It’s what women are meant to do, on this earth.  It’s God's will for them.”

Yep. Heard that about 24 hours before I saw NRA and her daughter-units. Barefoot.

Does it bother anybody else that the two older daughters of The Christopher Maxwell Family  are almost always shown with (what I see as) a tight-lipped, tentative smile?

ETA a gross and snarky thought I had: Shouldn't the complementary announcement photo be of Christopher with his thumbs tucked under his armpits in a “I’m the MAN! Knocked her up AGAIN!” pose, with The Christopher Maxwell Family Sons aping the pose, at his feet?

Yes. I have noticed that too. With these last photos, I thought they were starting to look as sad as Zsu Anderson’s daughters.

And cue big cheesy grins forced by Steve in 5...4...3....

I notice the same in Melanie & Nathan’s oldest two, as well. ?

Oh, hell, I just want her to have a copy of Strunk and White's Elements of Style. Surely Steve couldn't consider that pornographic, whereas Hemingway and Woolf would be (in his mind).

Elements would help clean up her grammar, etc., but totally lacks human emotion, storytelling, irony, empathy ...  yep.  Steve’s probably telling Teri to order it now.

Exactly! Sarah doesn’t need how-to-write books anywhere near as much as she needs the sheer joy of reading good writing and the inexplicable luxury of reading simply to get lost in a good story.

I'm dumb.  I thought that only the OfPriss girls being in the photo was a hint that the baby was girl.  But then I read the sign she was due in Feb, and was a bit shocked at how soon they are announcing.

Gross picture.  Girls are only breeders. Why not show them off, right?  <------ Gag, gag, gag!!

Could be their natural face. Could be they've looked at their mother, aunts and grandmother and realized how bleak their future is. (Hopefully Gigi provides a ray of hope. Run girls, run!)

Good thought!

And maybe they somehow recognize that manic, teeth-baring grins are not the way.

Poor little girls.

There's a new post up on their blog.

https://blog.titus2.com/2019/06/28/baby-dolls-and-carriers/

Included are more pictures of Ruthanne, Lydia, & Elizabeth being trained to be brood mares.

Good gravy! Those dolls are almost as big as they are. I wonder if they play at blanket training, too.

Lifted from the latest post by NR Anna about the baby dolls:  " It’s been perfect that they can wear size newborn to three-month clothes and the girls have actually become quite proficient in baby changing—even able to help change Elizabeth with their skills."

You know what kind of skills I'd like Ruthanne and Lydia to have?  Coloring, drawing, painting, riding bicycles, swimming, playing ball, learning to read simple stories that aren't always bible themed!!!

Probably the girls are happy to be mommy's helpers now but you know they will be full fledged sister moms before too long.

I just saw that post and quickly read it as 'Baby Dolls and CAREERS!"  I was seriously disappointed to not see any mention of jobs beyond taking care of babies.  I should definitely have known better, but I live in hope.

I've probably seen too many horror movies involving dolls, but that big  doll is too life like for my taste.  Creepy smile too.

I hope it's a boy and they name him Peter.

I think it will be a boy and they already revealed Elizabeth would have been Timothy Luke if she'd been a boy, so I'm going with that.

On the doll or the poor little Maxwelline?  She and her sister just look WAY too tentative in almost every photo. As though they are waiting for their cue to ... move, much less show any spontaneous emotion.

I used to think NRAnna’s bright and wide smile was a good indication of a woman actually actively happy with her situation. But contrast that with  her older daughters’ ... timidity (?) ... and the outside smile seems almost creepy.

(BTW, for a doll most people find pretty fearful, look up Robert The Doll.  I think he’s been framed.)
