Yes! I turned the captions on to get the spelling as well.

Lily (16)

David (14)

Lydia (11)

Daniel (8)

Dustin (6)

Drew (4)

Luci (2)

Plus

Duke (born in February after this episode aired)

ETA: I just noticed that Fundamentalists Wiki has been updated, but they spelled Luci as Lucy. The captions on the TLC website use an "i" so I assume that's correct.

Well, they ran out of D boy names fast. From super common (David and Daniel) to still pretty popular (Dustin) to nickname (Drew -I've never heard of a Drew whose legal name isn't Andrew, although I'm sure they exist). And then to get to Duke seems like a huge leap. I realize that everybody likes different names, and I'm not trying to make fun of anyone's naming choices, but Duke just seems kind of out of left field compared to the other names.

I'm calling it now, there'll be some sort of tour ...even if just on Lawson Bates level of various churches in the south/midwest. Lord knows they have the transportation for it.

To be honest ten year old me would have LOVED to make an album, except my family would never have gone for religious tunes. I imagine the girls enjoyed making it, hopefully the tour would be something they'd want to do vs are told to do.

Just the fact that apparently she's partly Salvadorean rather than what she said. Since yeah, no one had any idea that that was the case. Dwain Swanson doesn't appear Latino at all, at least by name, so maybe it's via Lana. Or it could be Dwain himself. We don't really know anything about either of them at this point other than the fact that they previously lived in Georgia and Dwain has (or at had) his "Courageous Men of the Word" phone ministry.

Lauren's grandmother or GGma (dO think the latter) was from El Salvador. Her name was Milagro, and that name has been passed down to the oldest daughter in each successive generation.

I listened to it on Spotify. Michelle talks at the beginning of every freaking song. :annoyed:

It’s not that far out there.  My sister named my nephew Duke. He’s German (Shepherd).

That's very interesting. Do you know which side of the family she was on?

It's not terrible, aside from Michelle's intros. There are also bible verse quotes from the girls interspersed.

It's available to listen to free clips on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Happy-Heart-Duggar-Girls/dp/B07G5PCYDK/

On CD baby: https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/theduggargirls#

On the Duggars own website: https://www.duggarstore.com/product/happy-heart/

On Spotify:

The different sites have different clips so are evidently using algorithms to determine what gets clipped.

And it sounds like Michelle might actually be singing on "I Will Sing of the Mercies of the Lord" and she actually sounds quite good. There's definitely an older sounding voice on that one even if it isn't Michelle, but I don't think even at 14 that Hannie's voice is mature enough. It's one of the few that I heard real harmony on.

OMG. This can be added to "weird Christian *records*" .  Just think, in 20 years, FJ'ers including this amongst the collection of decades past.   Sigh.....

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Whoever doesn’t want to marry Jana needs his head examined. Cannot believe these fundie guys, what are they thinking? Let’s get with the program.

So Joe and Kendra got the Cabin that was supposed to be for Mary to live in? That's not surprising.

I wonder where Josiah and Lauren are going to live.

That storage place looked a lot to me like the house Josh and Anna are in.

Well, Chip and Joanna Gaines have a kid named Duke. If we have pet fundies, I would say that the Gaines family is the fundies pets, so... no, I'm not surprised about the name Duke.

I don’t think we ever knew that the cabin was intended for Grandma Mary. It’s “grandma’s cabin” because she used to live there.

Things I took away from last night:

Jinger has some mad talent for the piano. Wow. If she were raised differently she could have gone into music, perhaps played professionally. Jeremy get her a piano!

For all of Kendra's giggles, I do think she is smarter than your average Duggar.

Jana isn't afraid of anything! Another case of is she was raised differently.

Wasn't Jana the 'concert pianist'? :my_biggrin:

I don't remember, but I also don't remember Jinger playing like that!

I agree-- a tour, with CD signings.  By the way, speaking of touring-- with the November elections coming up, they could also sing at rallies for whatever loathsome Trumphumper Republican Candidate their family might be supporting.  Get them some red-white-blue outfits and they can sign at Ted Cruz rallies in East Texas.

I remember Michelle leading the kids in hymn singing while driving in the early documentaries and thought back then that she had a beautiful singing voice. I listened to it last night and thought it was her singing too.

I know a Drew. He has a sister named Beth. And I have a relative whose first name is Joe. Those are NOT nicknames, they are their given names.

Like I said directly after the part that you snipped - I'm sure these people exist. But see, I think it's much more fitting that the Drew you know has a sister named Beth, rather than Drew and Elizabeth. In the Swansons' case, I think the decision was made because they just ran out of D names they liked.

(Not that it matters much. It just stood out to me because they also have a naming scheme, just like the Duggars. Maybe Siah and Lauren will be the first couple since Josh and Anna to go with a letter theme like both of their parents?)

Well those samples of the Lost Girls/Miracle Baby CD are about as autotuned as I imagined. :pb_lol:

I'm pretty sure she says she's "El Salvadorean" which still sounds weird, but it's slightly more sensible. Do we know were Lana is from? (That would account for the Milagro in her name, but still, it's a little weird.)

Oh... I asked on an earlier thread if Lauren's mom was Hispanic... didn't get any answers to it.   There was one screenshot from the wedding where she was being escorted in that gave me that impression, although once I saw the video I didn't see it as much.

BTW I was blown away by how much DeAnna looks/ moves like Amy.

There was a webisode featuring Joe and Si moving the house onto Boob’s property.  They said they were moving it for Grandma to live in.  This was prior to JoKen’s courtship announcement, but they were definitely in the ‘getting  to know you’ phase at that point.

ETA: it was shortly after the courtship announcement.

I found this, for those of you who haven't been able to watch it yet. I'm watching right now - it's a good quality clip. (it says S07, but it's the episode from yesterday, as far as I can tell).
