The only birthday/anniversary anything we share is Anna and my MIL.. not sure about Austin's b-day... depending on the day, he could share my daughter's, but the lilyand ellie site doesn't have his date, just the month and year.

I am curious if you all have all these Duggar dates memorized, or just keep a chart around for reference. ;-) I have no idea if anyone I know shares a Duggar Date, but I confess as there are so many of them, I feel it's somewhat inevitable and thus even more meaningless. Except you could buy yourself a chocolate ice cream thingy with a ready excuse.

My daughter is due Nov. 22, but was originally told the 8th. She and her partner are pretty well convinced the 8th was correct, because they remember when they were celebrating something or other. But that's just the two week window you kind of always have due to cycle length, and I don't know if they got their math right on that.

I had four of my kids on or within a day or two of the due date, and two were about ten days early. It surprised me how accurate they were sometimes, as my cycle was five weeks instead of four.

Cheater Option: I have the birthdates listed in the Duggar Family summary thread which is now pinned on the mainDuggar forum page. Same thing with the Bateses. Just scroll to your person of choice and their birthdate is listed there.

I only remember Jim Bob's because it's my husband's. Everyone else I have to check Wikipedia for their birthdays (actually, except for Kendra now- I remember hers because it's the same as my sister's).

As for the two due dates thing, my first kid came a week late so I get it. For baby #2 I'll just be telling people (outside of family and close friends) the month. If anyone asks for the specific due date I'll tell them- but I also know I'm having a c-section at 39 weeks. So again, two dates to work with, lol.

I find the two due dates very odd. I mean, you have a due date. So, you think you might go later, or earlier, so you arbitrarily pick a date some period of time later or earlier and call it another due date?  Unless you have a scheduled induction or delivery, no one knows exactly when they will give birth.  I must be missing something. Genuinely confused.

I find the way they talk about the two dates weird.  There is one due date, but they expect the baby by X date.  You don't have to give the actual due date if you don't want to, but you don't really have 2. . .

Is it bad that I’m seriously thinking about not mentioning being pregnant on the Pregancy/Parenting thread until I’m either halfway through or in labor? I feel like it’d be wicked funny to see everyone’s reactions if I was all like, “Velocibaby is doing good. Here’s her latest milestones. Oh, and here’s the kid I just popped out! Anyone else do something cool today?” :pb_lol:

One of my friend’s sisters did this on Facebook. She has been posting pictures of her children and other status updates but none of us knew she was pregnant until about a week before she gave birth. Unless you saw her on a normal basis, you didn’t know she was pregnant. Neither of her sisters ever mentioned it either. It wasn’t until the oldest was going to Prom & she posted a photo of them together that anyone on Facebook knew she was pregnant. I think she waited to say anything because this was baby #6. She had the first child when she was 19 or 20 and then didn’t have another baby for about eight or nine years. And babies 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 are much closer in age. I think she was tired of hearing “You two do know how this happens, right?” She did say #6 was the last one.

My former boss was pregnant and we knew she was close to giving birth, so every day she made it to work we made sure to do as many projects as possible. She called one morning and said “I won’t be in today. I’m at the hospital.” I said “Are you calling me & you're in labor?” She said “No, I actually already had the baby.” It was a super quick labor/birth. She has planned to be in the office that morning but her baby had another idea.

Most babies will come within 10 days of their due date - so 10 days before or after. That’s what Jill was referring to when she first mentioned the two due dates. The second date she gave herself was, I believe, about 10 days past her due date and she gave birth right around that time. I think she was 11 days past when Izzy was finally born, which means she was in labor within the time frame she mentioned. I’m pretty sure that’s what Joy is doing as well.

When one of my friends was pregnant she didn't post anything about it on Facebook, and never told me. Then one day she texted me a picture of a tiny newborn, lol.

@divadivine That reminds me of the story my boss told about giving birth to her first baby after a coworker announced she was pregnant (she waited until she was 6 months along and only told us because someone figured it out). My boss said when she had her first kid, she worked right up until her water broke. Her coworkers were freaking out and saying they wanted to take her to the hospital, but she insisted on finishing what she was doing.

I have a friend who is pregnant. She has not talked about on Facebook. The only reason why I know is a mutal friend told me.  Her bother (who I'm also friends with) wife is also pregnant. I know because of the pictures that she has been tagged in.

My oldest was born two days after his due date.  #2 was born on his freaking due date like a punctual little gentleman.  Despite the fact that he’s only 8 years old, he is the most punctual person I know.  He has hated being late since birth.  Anyway, I guess I can say my due dates were pretty accurate.

Both my girls were born on their due dates. My son came 2 days past his, but that is still pretty darn close. And my due date with him was actually my birthday and I didn't really want to share so I was happy he waited a tad.

I know quite a few people that have chosen to keep their pregnancy off of social media. My older two were born before social media but I didn't mention my pregnancy with my last baby until I was 29ish weeks. I had mentioned announced the previous pregnancy at about 13 weeks and then lost the baby just before 20 weeks. I was fine with my friends and family sharing our pain and our struggles but I wasn't okay with all the other random people. Most people were amazing, but a few insensitive comments are a few too many. So, I am very careful not to mention anything unless I know it has already been shared publicly on social media.

Me, too! I'm a haphazard person in many ways, but I have always been on time unless someone else got in the way, since my birthday in 1965. ;-)

I always said if I ever got pregnant I'd just tell people the season I was due, like "late spring" or whatever, because babies come when they come, and I'd be annoyed by the focus on a "due date".

I was either 2 weeks late or 2 weeks early, depending on whether you asked my mom or her doctor. I tend to think my mom was right, because she's pretty sure all three of us were conceived during trips out of town!

All I could of think was that episode in The Office, when Pam is in labor with Cici, and she refused to leave until her contractions were 4 minutes apart :P

The only birthday/anniversary I have in common with the Duggars, is Spurgeon and I have the same birthday ;)  though like Jessa, I had my firstborn son the day after my birthday haha.

I'm hoping that's the only thing I ever have in common with the duggars *shrug* (okay, there's the whole Christianity thing, but they wouldn't accept my brand of it anyways, so I don't think it counts!)

Daughter number 1 was born on her due date and is always punctual.

I was given 2 dates with number 2, the expected date based on last period, and a different date based on ultrasound.

She ended up being induced as a failure to thrive on a different date all together.

Oh geez...daughter was 8 days late...she hasn't been on time since! Sons both showed up early. #1 son was due end of April/first week of May (got pregnant with him between ORSE and a deployment), showed up the first week of April. #2 son was due at the end of July. Showed up the end of June. #2 son was actually an eviction. I was in early labor, contracting but not doing much. Doctor gave me a choice...break my water and see if that would get things rolling or send me home with some Ambien to get a decent night's sleep. I chose the break my water. That was done at 6pm and he was born at 7:34 pm during the bottom of the hour commercial break during Star Trek - TNG.

All 3 of mine were early based on their due dates. Because of how closely I was followed by specialists those dates were pretty well set.  3 weeks early with Oldest, 4ish weeks with Middle, and 1.5 with the Youngest.  With my last miscarriage I just said "around the end of October".  But then most people with any sort of common sense (or internet access) know due dates aren't set in stone so I don't get the 2 due date thing. Still makes me think that Joy's 2 dates were Jill's doing.

I’m due towards the end of May, and I haven’t started telling people yet. My doctor gave me one due date, but when I used an online calculator that gave me more options about the length of my cycle and length of my luteal phase (I have very short cycles), it gave me a different date. So I’m not married to any single day. I, myself, was a week late coming out. I guess it’ll be interesting to see what day it turns out to be.

Recently my brother and I had this conversation.

Brother: When Hitler's birthday was?
Me: March 3rd.
Bro: I don't think that's right.
Me: I dunno, someone terrible was born that day.
It took me five minutes to remember.

Thanks to this thread I did some googling, and it turns out I share birthday with Tom Tancredo. So... yeah, as Duggars would say.
