Marcus Anthony was actually kind of on our list....... (we really, really struggled with boys names)

Both are family names that had significant meaning to me. We knew it was an awful combination, but we were totally drawing a blank (desperation had set in).

Thankfully we had a girl, so we didn't actually lumber a child with it. Having said that, we had some pretty awful girls name in the running too  

 

I wonder if because it's european history, it just wasn't on their radar. SOTDRT and all that.

plot twist: Anna had gender-ultrasound as early as she possibly could in March, and they announced their pregnancy as a boy. M5 was born last weekend, and surprise, it's actually a girl! Smuggar fam is now in crisis and have to restart their name selection process...but on the bright side, nothing has been guessed by FreeJinger, and now they have a reason to delay the announcement until right before CO comes back! JB is pleased.

Nope, you're right. Mark Anthony definitely did not murder Caesar, he supported him and tried to save him but was thwarted. A quick glance at Wikipedia is usually a good idea if you're going to be criticizing someone else's knowledge and education! (Regardless, the SOTDRT is trash.)

I had a dream a couple of weeks back that they had been hiding his birth and named him Logan. Maybe I'll change my prediction to Matthew Logan, plus I want to add a second prediction for MacGyver
