When my daughter was pregnant with #2 she tested as a carrier for CF...her husband took blood tests and found out, thankfully, that he was not a carrier also. I know two kids with CF (sibs), I taught them in preschool, so I knew a tiny bit of what they went through. But now I know that there is a 50/50 chance that my sons and granddaughters are carriers of the gene...no one in my family or my husbands has it. I want to do genetic testing through 23andme, (so I can at least see if the gene is on my side or dh's and tell the relatives that they could be carriers) but I don't have that kind of money to blow

From what I know, CF can be found in any ethnic groups, but is more commonly found in certain ethnic backgrounds - for instance, Northern European. That could possibly give you a starting point at least.

He failed at not instilling purity and chaste behaviour in the marriage bed.   He failed at keeping the family free from stain.   And to cover up all these failures he has to keep picking up Josh's shit. He does it to make himself feel better. He does it because he knows he failed Josh.  He will fork out money hand over fist to make his ego and his guilt go away.  The other reasons of course are the stain on his branding.  Jimbob made Josh who he is and he knows it.  Having said all of that,  Josh is responsible for EVERY choice he made to screw around on  his wife.  He is responsible for his choices in molesting his victims.  

Some articles online said that the email adress Josh used for his AM accounts was also used to register at a facebook account. on this facebook account he befriended strippers of the arkansas area. Maybe that is where the rumor about strip clubs came from?

My uncle is heavily involved with the CFF and is on the local board. I got to go to one of their fundraising events and hear a woman speak who was around 25-30 years old, I can't remember. She was told as a child that she wouldn't make it past 10 years old I believe. And here she was, speaking to us, happily married and having participated in either a half or full marathon. It was truly inspiring to hear her story and she actually inspired me to run my first half marathon as well! I am not at all a runner, but if she could finish, so could I

My mother had a co-worker who's daughter-in-law has CF. They were able to have a child through a surrogate.  The child does not have CF.

No, i remember those rumores from before joshgate 1. Someone, maybe Alice or Concernedmom, or someone like them. The point is that someone said he was seen in several strip clubs in Arkansas

I wish I was too! I remember when I started reading it, all the photos were off her blog and there was only the ones in the FJ thread to go by. I also had no idea wtf she was talking about when the "pet kiefer" thing came about.

Here are at two threads with different posters mentioning rumors about Duggars and strip clubs that pre-date Joshgate 1; one mentions Jim Bob, although someone else mentions they heard the same story about Josh and the second one mentions Josh. Like I said before, there was never any proof confirming these rumors but the stripper Facebook friends and everything else makes me think they were accurate.

I feel like someone at InTouch just really doesn't like the Duggars. At least I hope that's the case. I find their ability to break stories like this about the Duggars endlessly amusing. Now if only they'd look closer at the Bateses...

Personally, I did all the non invasive prenatal testing that was available to me, I doubt I would have terminated a pregnancy, The circumstances would have had to be pretty dire for that to be an option for me, but I wanted to know if there was likely to be a problem so that I can be as prepared as possible. For example, if I thought my child may have a genetic condition I would have opted to go tot he children's hospital (or any hospital) instead of the birth center I chose. However, I don't know that the Duggars put that much thought into the various complications that can happen. Because Jesus.

I checked his FB and burst out laughing reading your parody of him again, so so accurate. He's the same.. never found Emily's though. I'm guessing they are divorced.

On a side note, I think after the coma incident those kids should have been taken away by CPS, she really is dangerous and a horrible mother.

I remember the coma incident with them. I don't think CPS was called but they probably should have been.
