How about diversifying the actual force (which I know extremely hard for multiple reasons)? The neighborhood I grew up in was mostly minorities, and I only ever saw white cops. There was also a problem of a lot of the residents not speaking English and not understanding anything being said to them - so I presume there was never even an effort from the local PD to learn even basic words or phrases in the language spoken by most residents.

The Statue of Slave trader Edward Colston has been pulled down in Bristol by a mob and thrown in the river Avon. I don't agree with people taking matters into their own hands but I am not sorry the statue has been pulled down.
