I assume Nella means hoping not hopping . 

But honestly, it drives me crazy that fundies think siblings can only play and bond  with other siblings of their own sex.  Like poor old Joshua was dying on the vine with only mere sisters in his family.

Just another example of those rigid gender roles they love so much, I guess.

Why would anyone's mind go there? Were the Maxwells talking about Billy Graham recently or something? Even if you do assume that only siblings can have a true bond, why use an example of some random evangelist that has no connection to this family, and his brother who's been dead for 12 years??

Every time Anna Marie has a baby, I think of her parents. It makes me very sad to think that they may not see their grandchildren much at all. No, there has been nothing to prove that but I have always had this bad feeling that Anna Marie is very isolated from her own family. 

Also, it is interesting that Jospeh and Elissa were not pictured.  Neither was John. I guess Joseph and John were "at work."  Heh.

As a mother of only one child after years of infertility, and no guarantee of having another, I can't wrap my mind around the "only siblings for friends" rule.  (Where in their website is that written, btw?  I've seen it mentioned a few times here.)

But what confuses/annoys me even more is that the Maxwells ALSO are no strangers to infertility.  Nathan and Melanie waited, what, six years before they had a child who lived?  I'm not sure how she managed to have a child every other year after that (I'd love to know her secret!), but I would have thought that the prospect of having a small family would have them rethink that rule.

I had half hoped  or thought the birth of the Golden Man child at last would have curbed the need to have more but that is unrealistic for this family. 

 

I reckon she is pregnant or very soon will be.

It wouldn't surprise me if that were the case. They're small enough to share a twin bed right now, and the top bunk looks neatly made up as opposed to the bottom one that looks slept in. There's a certain logic to buying bunk beds, considering how many kids they'll likely have to fill them. Maybe the beds have a trundle also, like the Shupes have. 

I think that none of the children sleep in the top bunk. (Yet.) I'm 99% sure that Lydia would still be sleeping in a crib. Anna Marie is a bit of a neatness/control freak based on the full-body bibs, and highchairs used well past toddlerhood. No bunk buddies quite yet. Plus, the top bunk looks untouched with a nice, coordinating pink quilt, while the bottom bunk shows very obvious signs of use.

I'm on "Team Pregnant" for Melanie, but not because of the picture. It's just right about the time that she would be conceiving again. For her sake, I hope she's not.

The Precious Moments thing is kind of strange. It looks Christmasy, as if that bunting is supposed to be snow. It's cool that Anna Marie has something in her home that she personally likes, but I've never been able to wrap my mind around the attraction to Precious Moments.

If I recall correctly, pregnancy announcements for Melanie often come later in her pregnancies than those of NR Anna. This may be Melanie and Nathan's preference given their history of infertility and miscarriage. I am on team pregnant Melanie as well.

I'm in on Team Melanie Pregnant, too.  They do announce late, and even though she's thinner than I've seen her in a long time, there's something about that tummy that doesn't look unpregnant to me.

Another reason I think Melanie is pregnant is that Sarah left us what I think is a cryptic clue (in her mind, at least) in her post, saying "I assure you there are more baby posts coming."  Hmmm.....

Anna looks awesome, I would have cut a bitch who wanted to take my photo when my baby was 2 hours old!

I do like the photo of Joshua and uncle Whomever reading the catalogue. Does Ruthanne have freakin' bloomers on?? Sorta cute I guess but I can't get passed the idea that it is not for cute she has them on but for stupid modesty. Ugh. 

I really, really hope Melanie isn't pregnant. Fingers crossed for weird angles and puffy shirts.

ETA. Jesse, Daniel and Abbey is an odd combination of people. No snark, just not a combo that springs to mind.

It's the photo shoot tomorrow. We all know what's coming- wedding rings on feet, mummified baby. If it was Danielle Maxwell, there'd be an eeeee-normous flower headband. Maybe the cabbage would make another appearance. But alas we won't see it, at least not until the next female blessing.
