NR Anna Baby #4 -Daniel has been born

I hope it isn't too early to start a thread like this, since they said NR Anna isn't due for about a month, but I wanted to write my guesses down while I was thinking about it. I'll go with: July 20th at 4:50 pm 9 lbs, 1 oz. Samuel or Noah for a boy Claudia or Rebecca for a girl
  3. It's been 5 years since the Maxwells, as Sarah put it I predict the event will be celebrated with a family meal and special family bible time.
  4. Here are most of the characteristics that they take into consideration when choosing a name: Bible-based The character traits of the person(s) in Scripture with the name (good and bad) The meaning of the name How the meaning of the first and middle names combine for a custom name meaning/life vision How the first->middle->last sound together The initials Whether we, [Christopher and Anna Marie], like the name. They also let us know they are going to spend one hour working on baby names. At least the kid won't be named after Steve or Teri.

  6. Read this interesting article on Salon.com: SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — In a case that tests anti-discrimination protection for gays, a religious rights group told the New Mexico Supreme Court on Monday that a photographer who declined to shoot the commitment ceremony of a lesbian couple was exercising her rights to free speech and artistic freedom.... The case stems from Huguenin’s refusal in 2006 to photograph a commitment ceremony between Vanessa Wilcock and another woman. Wilcock found another photographer to shoot the ceremony but filed an anti-discrimination claim with the Human Rights Commission, which found Huguenin’s studio violated state law and ordered her to pay nearly $7,000 in attorney fees. A state district judge and the New Mexico Court of Appeals have upheld that ruling. It was unclear when the New Mexico Supreme Court will issue a ruling. (http://www.salon.com/2013/03/11/appeal_ ... s_heard_2/) I immediately thought of Christopher Maxwell's wacky wedding criteria: General Criteria: No Sunday weddings First wedding for bride and/or groom Valid marriage license No alcohol No dancing (except between the bride and groom) Modest attire for bride and bridesmaids christophermaxwell.com/wedding-information.htm Surely that is discrimination? I don't live in the US so don't know how the laws work very well but if someone refused to shoot a lesbian wedding & an anti-discrimination claim was filed (& won) could someone do the same to Christopher? Something to think about

The Sarah That Was Almost a Maxwell

Sarah Smith, who was engaged to Christopher a few years ago. And as we all might remember, their engagement was abruptly ended and that was just IT. She works for Gothard, but she's a fun girl -- travels a lot, doesn't wear frumpers, and according to her new blog post, she tried sand-boarding (in form-fitting pants!) while on a recent trip to Nicaragua. Check out her photos -- it's no wonder she didn't fit in with the Maxwells... simplysanctified.wordpress.com/2013/02/17/and-shes-back/
  8. I just saw the new wedding pics from Christopher Maxwell's photography website and the new couple looks oddly out of place from all the other couples photographed. The man looks so much older than a typical "first time grooms". Upon closer inspection, the bride also looks older. I remember that Christopher Maxwell has a "first time" rule for weddings he photographs. He states it must be a first time wedding for both bride and groom. I figure they also make exceptions for widowers/widows....? Anyway, the wedding itself also looks more expensive than some of the other fundie weddings Christopher photographs. I think he even got some nice shots. Ok, the food doesn't look that appetizing but the church is pretty. EDIT: Sorry I wasn't clear on this, I meant [link=http://www.christophermaxwell.com/weddings/alan-rachel/index.html]Alan and Rachel wedding[/link]. I don't mean to say that older weddings don't happen, but that I haven't seen it happen for fundies, especially the ones Christopher Maxwell photographs. Most fundies seem to try to marry as early as legally possible. Plus, in the midwest where so many fundies seem to live, it's common even among mainstream conservatives to marry in their early 20's. Just thought it was interesting to see a fundie man marry so late in life.

    More Maxwell photos.....

House work blah blah blah..... Another baby "photo session".... man, are they doing these daily?!? Formal shots are ok, but I like casual ones. For a family that is "so busy", they sure have a lot of time for formal "photo sessions"....

    More pictures of Joshua Maxwell

Sarah posted a few more pictures of JCM. The "Anna Marie radiates with joy of motherhood" crap irritated the hell out of me for some reason. titus2.com/blog/

    NR-Anna might be in labor!

Read all about it; titus2.com/blog/ Which will it be, FJers? Girl or boy?
  12. I guess first babies can take some time. Since she was contracting on Mothers Day, it's got to be hard to wait..... Though I see Stevie is taking advantage of the fact that people are most likely checking the blog daily and slapping up a OneTonoffRamp ad...
  13. Contractions have started. But, with a first, they could start/stop for many days. The pictures of Mary reading her bible with her had on Anna's tummy and the closeup of Anna's tumy with Chris's hand are kindof "strange". This pending birth must be so hard for Nathan & Mel, remembering how they lost their first.

    Christopher Maxwell Ex

This is the girl Christopher Maxwell was engaged to a few years ago. Can you imagine what a bullet she dodged? She is adorable and looks like fun! I know we've talked about her here before, but she just posted these photos and it reminded me of how lucky she is she got out when she did! simplysanctified.wordpress.com/2011/10/23/fall-pictures/
  15. He lost it a year ago at this conference site! He's been very sad cause it's his favorite. Low and behold, Sarah found it!! Maybe they will break into a celebration pepsi!
  16. Continuing my obsession with all things fundie-weddingish........... christophermaxwell.com/weddings/caleb-lauren/index.html CS Hayden is an ex-intern of VF. (somebody correct me if i'm wrong). And Lauren is a lovely bride. Christopher is....... Steve's son. I wonder if there is any connection between the Maxwells and VF? (probably not, I just like to speculate). Oh! I see Peter Bradrick and his unfortunate ears in some of the wedding photos.

How old are the Maxwell sons?

I know Sarah is 30, Anna is 18, and Mary is 14, but what about the boys/men?
  18. Justme

    New corners are up.

Teri's is "mahh", just about not being lazy. Daddy is on "fire" again after schools, particularly charter schools. Of course, "their" onramp "school" is OK! P.S. Poor Teri can't even buy a bathroom rug on her own. Steve has to "help". Me, I just run down to Bed & Bath. I wonder if the girls have ever been in a shopping mall. I'll bet Steve has them convinced they are full of lust & nakked people..... I wonder if the girls even drive. Could you imagine being 30, living in the 'burbs and not being able to drive....
  19. Does anyone know if they keep a blog? I'm so curious to know more about these two. They seem so... extra strange. And they've been oddly silent for a newlywed evangelist quiverfull couple. Does anyone know anything about Anna Marie's family?
