I just want to add to this, I watched the documentary mentioned about AIDS last night (How to Survive a Plauge, on Netflix if anyone is interested). I cried throughout. I don't know how anyone can watch something that sad, see how desperate and scared people with HIV and AIDS were in the 80s and early 90s, and wish that on anyone. I wouldn't wish it on a murderer, nevermind a cheater.

That said, watching that doc and thinking about how horrific the AIDS epidemic was in the US back then, it fucking amazes me that we have it to the point where I actually read a doctor say he would much rather be HIV positive than diabetic. It's that under control, when you have access to education and the drugs necessary of course.

If your religion is as powerful and correct as you think it is, it should be able to take my nonbeliever beating and come out the same.

I think of it like I think of atheism. I don't doubt my nonbelief because there are millions (billions?) of Christians who think I'm wrong. I'm secure in what I believe and don't believe and I don't care if someone is out there doing shit in the name of atheism that I don't agree with.
