Please help me with this FJers! Isn't something very similar written in the book the older Duggar girls wrote? About individual time to meet with the parents and talk/confess/pray/etc.? I could be wrong but this sounds very familiar from the Duggar angle as well. Is this normal in the fundie family world?

I actually found it in the Growing Up Duggar book page 35:

Does anyone remember back when the first scandal dropped, the owner of the Moonlight Bunny Ranch brothel issued a statement banning Josh from his establishment? He said that since there are so many Duggar girls, there is a chance one of them might end up working there, and he needed to protect his employees from molesters, therefore Joshie is banned.

At first I thought it was just the owner trying to get some publicity from events that had nothing to do with him. He's a first class jackass, IMO, so I wouldn't put that past him at all. But the general consensus in FJ is that it is entirely plausible that Josh paid for sex some time(s), so why not from the Bunny Ranch? I don't think the owner would ever actually say that Josh has been there, as he would surely want his other clients to be assured of their privacy - outing Josh outright might lead his clients to question his discretion. But maybe Josh had been there in the past and was being made aware he was no longer welcome?

What do you think? Am I just getting carried away, or is this an actual possibility? Has Josh ever even been in/around Carson City at all?

My thought was the the anonymous family member who mentioned Christmases wouldn't have been a parent or sibling, because why would they specify Christmas when thinking about "all the time we spent together while growing up"? That sounds to me more like a cousin/aunt etc. who wouldn't have been with the family nearly every day, but more like on special occasions and holidays.

I think a lot of the talking is Amy. I also think it's her with the "supposed to be a happy time" comment and she's referring to her marriage and t Jessa's baby. As in "we've got so many blessings going on."

Why do I think it's Amy? Because through the whole entire People article they left the "family insider/personal connect" anonymous and used all of that terminology.....except at the very end of the article the last sentence was a comment that People magazine direct quoted from Amy herself that apparently when she walked into the house/room where Anna was staying she "wrapped her in a big hug" and how bad she felt for her. It was literally stated "Amy told People." Which I think is a big ass blinking Las Vegas sign saying "I've been commenting all along!" Because during this whole horse and pony show her name is the first Duggar name to come up in an article as a response now.

But obviously she's talking to People and she's talking to them about the current situation. So I wouldn't put it past her to be the one to be making all the other statements. Especially if money is involved.

Honestly, he busted out of the apocalyptic underground storm shelter and has gotten a taste of everything he has ever wondered about, was told not to do, and has been told to look away from. You can't go back into that apocalyptic underground storm shelter after tasting the fruit of the flesh. After pounding a porn star with your terrifying sexual gusto or anything he may have done with any other female, he's created lasting memories. It's kind of like your first kiss or, more importantly, your first sexual partner, you never forget that.

I'd be seriously willing to bet money that regardless of what he tells his pastor, that facility, Anna, or Jim Bob.....he's not always going to be thinking wholesome thoughts during sex ever again. It's one thing to look at all the porn but it's another thing to do it. He'll remember how it felt. Because of that, I have no doubt it will be a matter of time before he goes back to it.

I also use the term "sex addiction" not from my point of view. More as a mocking of what they or the facility may see his issue as. Or as one of the listed things they treat. I was purely mocking the facility and how it treats it's list of things it treats. I would think they would put him somewhere in the category of "sex addiction" therefore my comment was meant to come across "I don't think that would be a good idea for the treatment for sex addiction, silly facility." Not, I think he has a sex addiction and he's getting the wrong treatment!

I also meant to steer my thoughts toward my last comment and that "sex will always remind him of what he could be having instead because he had the different flavors of pie and he loves pie. A lot. Now that he knows that, it's kind of hard to go back."

I could have gone with a different approach on that.
