Joshley Madison Part 5 - Rehab and women and porn - oh my!

Latest discussion points:

Josh has checked into a Christian based rehab facility for his supposed porn addiction according to a statement on the Duggar family website. TMZ is reporting second hand accounts of women claiming to have slept with Josh.

The Backstory:

In addition to being a child molester who victimized his own sisters, golden boy Joshua Duggar had 2 accounts on Ashley Madison, a website whose motto is "Life is Short, Have an Affair." He paid extra for the Affair in 3 Months or Your Money Back! guarantee.

Josh issued a statement admitting to being unfaithful. It has been edited twice since it went up. The first edit removed an awesome reference to Satan's Fortress in Josh's heart. The second edit removed reference to a porn addiction, and some mention of the molestation scandal.

There was an OKCupid account linked to the same email address, but it is now deleted. You can see some screenshots of his answers to various questions here: viewtopic.php?f=87&t=26814

There is a twitter account full of porn and MILFs and great big boobies that is rumored to be tied to the same email address as the other accounts, but it's not clear to me if it's been verified.

And there's at least one Facebook account in the mix as well.

On Jessa's Facebook page Daniel Keller claims he has offered for Anna and the kids to stay with him if she wants to leave the pig.

Ok, I think the Christian Rehab place is just a big money grab off of all the free labour from 100 people (all of them working six days a week for six months for free, or if it is paid the money clearly goes to Reformers Unanimous and not the individual working six days a week).

Quote from the rehab-wannabe website:

"Each student will serve as a volunteer in some fashion from 8-10 hours per day, and partial days on Saturdays. All work is considered donated services. Please understand that if you do not work as unto the Lord, you will not remain in the home. Proverbs 14:23 says, “in all labor there is profit†at Reformers Unanimous we believe work is God’s divine design for every man, and woman. Hard work develops character which is vital to making right decisions once you have finished with the program."

Maxwell Chorepacks level 100 level shit right here.

If anyone has anything to add to latest updates please feel free to do so. Also, if anyone has better title suggestions, I'm all ears. I'm not very creative right now and that was the best I could do.

No worries, "That Pig She Calls Her Husband" is gonna be a bear to beat!

I'm quite curious if Anna will be told all the nitty gritty, actual numbers of women, how many years, when it started etc.. I suspect not. I suspect she will be "protected" and it will all just be "unfaithful" and "sin". It's a whitewash to use buzzwords rather than have to confront the reality of what went down.

I know, eh? It was Daniel that said that first, right? Maybe we need to get him in here to help us out.

I thinks the title says it all. Hope there isn't anything else, anyway!

I fail to see how 8-10 hours a day in unpaid labor is going to help a psychiatric issue. AND this type of treatment didn't work when Josh was 15, why on earth would JBoob and J'chelle think it would work this time? SMH

So, he'll be doing physical to work to overcome his sin.

Right.

Because that worked so well the last time.

It sounds just like the "rehab" he had as a teenager. Considering no one on the staff has a MSW or a psychologist, this will work as well as the first time.

I liked the idea of having a thread specifically about the "rehab" facility Josh is in. With these mega threads you sometimes end up having to submit your comment 5 times or more because the new posts come in so fast and the board keeps warning you that there are new posts. By the time you're able to post, you have a new page to go back and read.

Anyway, here's my response to the last post in the rehab thread.

If they treat him that way once he's home I think he might leave, which would be a great result! Having said that, I also believe that if he's given any leeway at all after his "treatment" he will eventually go back to some form of the behaviors that got him into trouble the first and second time, given nothing has been addressed. (I'm not saying it's an addiction, though.)

At this point I think it's premature to assume that the Ashley Madison accounts were the actual "second time." It's funny though, I don't think having an affair is the worst part of this episode (not that I'm condoning cheating, have the balls to end your relationship or marriage first). To me, the offensive part is stumping for family values and looking down on every one else regardless if he was practicing what he preached (obviously wasn't) or not. If he actually goes through 60 days in this program and still wants to meet random chicks online and have consensual rough sex, by all means, go for it. He needs to stop being accountable to mommy and daddy and just own his own behavior.

60 days? For some reason I thought it was six months. Damn.

Someone today (sorry I can't remember who) suggested Joshley Madison: They Tried To Make Me Go To Rehab.

Of course they didn't just try, they succeeded. After the thrill of sneaking off to spend his alone time pursuing his hobby, I cannot imagine how DULL his life must feel right now. From Ashley Madison to Rockford Rehab.

So that it's easily accessed, I'll leave the latest link from Gawker with the confirmation of him being at RU, their schedule and rules: http://gawker.com/josh-duggar-s-sex-reh ... 1726747380

Well, that's interesting. How in the world does one get counseling, and in their words, "discover the problem in his heart," if they are working 8-10 hours a day? Hmm...sounds suspiciously like the "If you build enough houses, you will be cured," program. :wink-kitty:

From what I read this rehab is a pray the what ever your sin is away camp work program. This is like treating alcoholism in a bar, eating disorders at a buffet, or pedophiles in a daycare center. Pointless stupid and a waste of time. :angry-banghead:

Sounds like Josh might lose a few pounds at least

Negative remarks about food will not be tolerated. Prayer and fasting are a profitable substitute.

He'll stay a month before claiming Jesus has wiped all desire to be with other women and back to Anna and the kids he'll go.

A total farce.

Honestly, I doubt he'll even be gone 60 days. If he doesn't come back for Amy's wedding in a week, I'm going to say we'll see him by the beginning of October. It's not like there are any real addiction problems that will be rehabilitated, and I can't imagine him committing to his mental health for that long. I think he'll quietly return to Arkansas this fall and claim that he's all better.

Also, I really don't think they want Anna alone long enough to begin feeling a sense of independence. Ugh.

I do not personally think he can be changed. He may "behave" for a few months....or a year, but he will return to the behaviors that got him where he is now.

I think it will be a short stay, because Josh isn't willing to go without sex that long.............not even to treat his "sex addiction"

Did you miss that their are bedspreads on the beds? I think he can keep himself busy. Poor Joshie.

Exactly, especially without actual professional help. He had a chance to change his ways the first time around, but his parents' decision to send him to religious camp instead of a real psychologist, among other decisions regarding him and his sexuality, greatly failed him. It didn't work the first time and it sure as hell won't work the second time.
